Thank you everyone. I'm going to try to get some sleep xx

Hope you got some sleep, best wishes for today 😊

Isonthecase · 21/07/2022 08:23

@theotherfossilsister hope all goes well today. 35 weeks is fantastic considering what you've been through this pregnancy!

beckybloomwood11 · 21/07/2022 08:25

Hoping all goes well today @theotherfossilsister

RP90 · 21/07/2022 08:25

@theotherfossilsister good luck today, you've got this mumma 🙌!

squatternutbosh12 · 21/07/2022 09:11

@Tacoboutit hope all is going well with you and baby! Can I just ask when you mentioned the incontinence disposable pants, for bleeding etc, what ones did you use? Were they enough on their own? Thanks x

Tacoboutit · 21/07/2022 09:40

Good luck @theotherfossilsister Hope all goes well! Xx

@PopGoesBang yep the tinge of pink was my only sign and waters broke an hour after. I did have a curry the night before and a walk that morning but those could’ve been coincidental. Only in hindsight I thought of them because I certainly wasn’t trying to bring on labour. I go for a walk every day with my dog anyway though.

@squatternutbosh12 all is great thanks for asking. I got the boots own brand ones. They’re in the incontinence section as opposed to maternity. They’re true to size, I’m a 12 and took the size medium. They’re comfortable and I’ve had no leak through, despite wearing my first one for almost 24 hours. www.boots.com/boots-staydry-incontinence-pants-10271144

Tacoboutit · 21/07/2022 09:41

@squatternutbosh12 i should add, the pads they give you in hospital are those horrible plasticky ones with no stickiness so they just fall out the side of your pants. Would highly recommend the incontinence pants for ease and comfort x

PopGoesBang · 21/07/2022 10:13

@Tacoboutit I'm on constant watch now 🙈 because I was induced with Dd weirdly I feel on high alert as everyone just says 'oh you know the drill' nooooo, no I don't!

Hope all is going well @theotherfossilsister

Unknown6 · 21/07/2022 11:20

@SantiagoSister, I'm getting some signals, ligament pains are increasing, can't sleep with them. Bump keeps going really hard!

My BP is up today so have a feeling ill be in MAU this afternoon 🥲

Passthetena · 21/07/2022 12:11

Good luck today @theotherfossilsister!

Just had my 34 week appointment and baby has dropped centiles again so awaiting another growth scan, this one's giving me way more trouble than my first did! Speaking of the first born, he's come down with chicken pox on my first week of mat leave🙃. Between the heatwave, the growth drop and the pox I think I might just cry. Finding childcare for the growth scan will be fun now!

ToCaden · 21/07/2022 12:30

@Tacoboutit thanks for the rec. Good to know about the pants. How long do you think a pack would last? Wondering whether to get one pack or more.

Also did they cause any discomfort for your c section wound?

Tacoboutit · 21/07/2022 12:43

@ToCaden I’m still on my first pack since Sunday so one pack is def enough for hospital. I wore the first one for almost 24 hours. There was a bit of leakage on that one but it was because I couldn’t get up/go to toilet with the anaesthesia and catheter. None leaked since but l suppose it depends on individual blood flow/how often you change them, I changed mine twice a day. No discomfort around wound whatsoever, the dressing on the wound is so thick, like rubber almost.

ToCaden · 21/07/2022 13:30

@Tacoboutit thank you.

squatternutbosh12 · 21/07/2022 14:53

@Tacoboutit thank you that’s so helpful to know, I think I’ll get some so I’ve got the option even tho I’ve already bought big knickers and maternity pads because pads are awful and have been looking at them with dread 🤣 I really hate bleeding, you would think after 20 or so years of womanhood this would be something I’d just accepted but no it’s still the WORST 😂

squatternutbosh12 · 21/07/2022 14:56

@Passthetena oh man that sounds rough 😩 so not what you need. Sorry about the centiles as well, glad they are keeping a beady eye though. Hang in there! x

Beth262 · 21/07/2022 15:11

@Passthetena What a start to your mat leave 🥴 hope the little one gets better soon. Have a good cry, you'll feel better!

@Tacoboutit trip for me to boots too I think to purchase a packet of these magic pants... thanks for recommending.

@Unknown6 how is the blood pressure looking? Have you managed to avoid MAU?

Unknown6 · 21/07/2022 15:50

@Beth262 , nope I'm in mau :/ blood pressure won't go down so been given a bright orange pill to take. They will test again in 30 minutes.

I think one of my fav parts of being pregnant has been no periods.

Beth262 · 21/07/2022 16:19

@Unknown6 ahh no 😕 Hopefully it works! x

Not pregnancy related but just want to have a whinge about covid. Am still stuck in the house, the friend we were expecting to visit on the weekend has cancelled as doesn't want to risk catching it (fair enough) and I'm starting to get low level worried about DD1's breathing. She does tend to get a bit wheezy with viral stuff but if it gets any worse we'll have to get her checked out I think :(

On the other hand, at least in utero DD is getting a bit far dose of antibodies? Silver linings I guess?

CoalCraft · 21/07/2022 16:40

That should be a "big fat dose", not bit far lol

Unknown6 · 21/07/2022 16:54

Looks like they may expedite my c-section too! Going to find out in next 24/ 48 hours.
Being admitted though.

PopGoesBang · 21/07/2022 17:12

Ladies, not a day goes by where I don't think 'bloody hell they are dealing with a lot' I don't think any of us have had an easy pregnancy and certainly all had our fair share of worries.
This seems set to continue until they are here .
You're all doing amazing, and are so bloody strong. All our little ones are lucky to have such strong mummas in their corners.

squatternutbosh12 · 21/07/2022 17:13

@Unknown6 gosh hope you’re feeling ok! Exciting that you get to meet your little one soon though! Let us know what they decide x
