Thread 5 is about to fill up, here's another one!
Wonder how many more babies we'll meet before we get to July 🥰

@strawberrysummer19 I had quite a tender stomach the first few days after birth but it feels fine now. It's very soft now though but has went down incredibly well but I'm a bit 'pouchy' now 😂😂
Does your midwife not come to you? 🤔

@KizboBaggins I stupidly refused the midwife checking my stitches when she came to visit - mainly because she made me feel quite uncomfortable in my own home (was just a vibe) My actual midwife is visiting on Tuesday so will get her to have a look at them then. I constantly feel like I'm snagging them but that could be the hair growth I suppose 😩

@Lianna93 she came to my house for the first visit but then said the next one was at the clinic.

@strawberrysummer19 Seems a bit much to expect someone who's just given birth to go to them - I don't get that at all & especially with you saying it's a 30 minute trip there 😬 You'd think there'd be consistency throughout the whole of the nhs 🙄

I said yes initially and my partner was present who said can someone not come here and she said no only for people who have had twins or complications?
So after losing 2l of blood I guess that's not the criteria ?!
I then texted her saying actually I don't think it's a good idea and she said can you see how you feel and let me know Monday ?! So thought fine I'll just do that but decided I'm not going

Then I was hospitalised for a blood transfusion x2 so have just messaged and told her I'm not coming so can please someone come to me x

@strawberrysummer19 that's bonkers that they won't come and see you! I had to go to the centre, but it's only 10 mins away and I didn't have any extra complications like you did - it was still an ordeal getting baby in the car. Plus I had to deal with the painful consequences of living on a street with speed bumps 😬 poor DH was crawling over them

@Lianna93 definitely get her to check on Tuesday, it'll put your mind at ease! I worry more about my bloody stitches than the baby!

@strawberrysummer19 I had to have a transfusion after the blood loss in labour. I did feel a lot better after having it. Just thought I was tired from labour & not being able to sleep but obviously the iron was an issue!

@ShellUK09 matching with pretty much everything you are saying! Definitely glad I can sit down without pain!
My bleeding seems to have pretty much stopped but still using a pad just in case & because I have some to use up.
Skye is the same with having day & night mixed up. DP went back to work last Monday & some days I pretty much just spent feeding, changing nappies & sleeping! Other days I have actually emptied the dishwasher or put some of the washing away/hung it up.
I'm not very productive & quite frankly I don't care lol. I'm definitely taking on the "sleep when baby sleeps" advice or at least if not sleep I "chill out" watching naff TV & zoning out 😂

@KizboBaggins I know isn't it. Just want to know if I got my appointment tomorrow or not.

I do feel better then yesterday but just not as good as I thought if that makes sense

What were you levels ?

Mine were 76 yesterday and with the transfusion it's now 86 so it still needs to come up
I have iron tablets I need to take for 28 days
2 doses a day

@strawberrysummer19 hopefully they have given you a stool softner, or might be worth looking into one as iron tablets can give quite bad constipation esp higher doses. Just with your stitches and tenderness probably the last thing you need xx

@JJ1992 yes have lactulose anyway but it's actually been ok so far without it.

Hopefully the tenderness will resolve as least I know why the stitches are hurting xx

@strawberrysummer19 I've been put on iron tablets too due to blood loss. They're making me super nauseous though - how are you finding them?

I've been on them since Wednesday
One thing I did notice was my poo is black!
I panicked when i saw that and as I was in hospital at the time I asked the midwife and she said it's due to the iron tablets x

@strawberrysummer19 Ahh the black poos are pretty grim 🙈😂
I was on iron tablets during my pregnancy too but I had hyperemisis so don't know if they were making me feel sick back then.

I appear to have gone from absolutely no signs of impending labour to getting regular contractions within the past hour - at least hopefully I'll be avoiding induction tomorrow now! Nice start to a Monday morning, haha. Only been tracking contractions for 40 mins and it's already telling me to go to the hospital so we'll see, lol.

@NamelessBaby1 how exciting!! Hope this is the real deal and you have a safe delivery! Looking forward to an update 💕

39 weeks for me this morning! Getting very impatient now for things to start for me too, but so far NADA. No pains, no aches, no pressure, haven’t even had a show, and very uncertain if I’ve even felt any BH whatsoever! Is anyone else waiting for their baby still? 👀🙈

@Danani yes same over here!! I’m due on Thursday and haven’t felt anything 😅 I’ve had a couple of dull aches but haven’t lead to anything. I really think I will be going over. I have a midwife appointment on Wednesday and thinking if they offer me a sweep I might accept!

@Danani if it's any consolation (probably not haha) I'm now 40+10 and this is literally the first time I've had my show and aches and pains!! Also been sick for the first time this pregnancy.

Typical as I thought I'd have another day so booked a Morrisons delivery for this morning 🤦

@Danani i had zero signs at 39w too, not even sure of bh either, then I got a sweep on Friday at 40w. Everything ramped up all day Saturday, periods cramps, mucus, couldn't sit for being so uncomfortable with baby dropping so much and since Sunday is all faded again. I'm still getting mucus but the cramping has gone. I'm 40+3 and feel like I'll be pregnant forever!

Ah I'm feeling for yous that are approaching or have gone past due date. I was so fed up towards the end of my pregnancy. Hopefully all the babies come soon 🤞🏻

@strawberrysummer19 I can't remember exact levels im sure 70-something was mentioned as I was borderline for transfusion & then it took a while for the numbers to get up over 80-something for it to be OK. They almost gave me a 2nd transfusion but after a 2nd test they decided it was coming up just a bit slower than expected.

I have 3 doses of iron tablets a day but must admit I keep forgetting to take them at the moment! 🤦‍♀️

@Hope3821 your story is almost identical to mine! Sweep on friday, initial cramps/ bloody mucus and now nothing. I definitely feel no pressure but can honestly say I dont even know if I feel BH or if its just tightening with baby moving.

Are you having a second sweep?

I watched another birthing vlog this morning and this time I think my tears were purely from fear 😂 the longer i go the more Im worried about baby and the labour process. But it just has to be done right?

Currently overdue with baby 1 and just beginning to get impatient 🙈

@CaptainCarp I'm the same as you, 3 a day but I had to contact my gp because they've been making me really poorly so I've now to only take 1 a day
