Congrats @MummyRR
I'm 33 weeks today! Feeling ok, have days where I feel so sick but it passes! I'm 40 so I'm sure my age has something to do with it. Small baby here just like my first born!! Hope you are keeping ok?

Oh bless you, stay hydrated!
I've had nausea this final trimester which is strange because I didn't have any vomiting throughout the pregnancy! But I find drinking water does calm the nausea.
Swelling in my legs and feet, some vaginal pressure (she is head down so makes sense) and some heartburn here and there but I can't really complain.
I'm a FTM😃
How have you been keeping?

Redapple21 · 22/07/2022 00:12

32+4 today and have had some cramps. Only mild and it's probably still everything expanding but it's made me feel a bit anxious. I will see how I am tomorrow. I had a midwife appointment yesterday and she was pressing really hard to feel the head which she said was quite low down, so not sure if that's caused a bit of cramping today! Will see how I feel tomorrow and might give her a call. Hope everyone is ok x

110APiccadilly · 22/07/2022 01:40

DD has decided to give me a free reminder of what newborn sleep is like tonight. She has a cold, and may be teething, so I assume that's why. She's normally a brilliant sleeper, but tonight she's up screaming every 30 minutes. Fortunately neither DH nor I is working tomorrow.

Butterflytulip · 22/07/2022 14:09

@madeleine85 @Redapple21 I hope you get on ok today at your appointments

@MummyRR

Butterflytulip · 22/07/2022 14:10

@MummyRR pressed send too soon!!!
I actually feel pretty good. Have heard others really suffering with mobility at this stage.
My last baby was small, so my bump was never massive. Same this time round so I think the next 6-7 weeks will fly in!! Starting to get excited now. Are you all organised?

I'm glad to hear :)
I walked 9k steps yesterday and I do get short of breath but generally ok. Getting out of bed and turning from one side to the other is the hardest! It's actually painful.
My results for GD a few weeks ago came back 7.0 (they want it to be lower than 7.8) the midwife said it's perfectly fine yet doctor says I'm borderline!
I had an antenatal appt yesterday and the baby is measuring a bit big so they took my blood again and I hope to hear the results next week.
Bought nearly everything, just need to get on with packing mine and baby's hospital bags now! How about yourself? Which crib will you be using?

Butterflytulip · 22/07/2022 23:45

@MummyRR
I have GD! It's manageable though, making me eat healthier! Hopefully they don't diagnose you with it. I bought a snuzpod next to me which I used for baby no.1. Was fab, just bought a replacement mattress and will use it again!
I still haven't packed my hospital bag. I need to get a few things and prob have it packed by 35 weeks !

madeleine85 · 23/07/2022 00:46

Thank you @Butterflytulip!

My update is 34+3 specialist checkup, looks to be around 3lbs 14oz, still 2nd percentile for growth, which is apparently the same as last week. Heartbeat and blood flow is still good, so they want to keep him in for the time being, and the olihydraminos (low amniotic fluid) is the biggest concern right now, being low 5cm mark. Both the specialist and sonographer think given the low fluid he won't be able to flip, so will stay breech, and a c section will be 99% likely. I'd honestly rather have a C section at this point, just to not stress him out, so it feels better knowing that. Onto week 35 and the point of "being the most pregnant i've ever been" so hopefully he stays put! Hope you're all having good weekends, and are relaxing a week bit/getting the final baby things together. I can't believe that we are so close now, and also that no one in this group has popped yet, that is really incredible!

Butterflytulip · 23/07/2022 06:26

@madeleine85 they are taking good care of you, that's great. When is your next check up? Did you give you any idea as to what week they want to get to? Mention of steroids to take in case he comes earlier than they expect?

110APiccadilly · 23/07/2022 07:11

Glad he's still able to stay in @madeleine85 - every week is one week closer to term and one week less that he's likely to need extra support when born (that's what I keep telling myself about mine!) And in your circumstances it sounds like it's good he's breach.

Oh @madeleine85 I'm so sorry you're going through this stress. Like others have said try and ensure baby has had steroids to help in the case of early delivery. I, too am looking at a planned section at 33+5 so a little bit earlier than you and the medics have all reassured me that with the help of steroids babies born around or after 34 weeks tend to have similar outcomes to those born full term. I truly hope that gives you some reassurance and that you can keep your little one in utero for a little longer xxx

madeleine85 · 23/07/2022 19:41

Thanks everyone! We got the steroids at 32 weeks. When everything started going a bit pear shaped this time the doctor Didn’t hesitate after our premie last pregnancy. We have 4 checkups a week at this point, but just really 2 weeks to go now. @110APiccadilly im telling myself the same, so fingers crossed for us all ❤️.

@handbagsandholidays hope you’re doing ok, that sounds quite early. Is everything ok? Or as ok as can be? My DD was 34.5 weeks, took her a while to catch up but she’s now above average for development and growth. It’s just a slow and scary start with a mini one. Sending big hugs x

110APiccadilly · 23/07/2022 21:06

I've been getting heartburn and the best thing I've found to help is Rennies. Ran out the other day and asked DH to get some for me today after work. He's got the wrong sort! They don't taste of peppermint! What is this? I didn't even know you could get Rennies that don't taste of peppermint. They're foul. Now I'll have to wait till I'm near the shops on Monday for proper Rennies. Sad

Rant over, but I needed to express that somewhere and probably not to lovely DH who wasn't to know and also started work before 6 today.

annlee3817 · 23/07/2022 21:31

Ah sorry the growth isn't picking up @madeleine85 but good that they can keep him in a bit longer and that you have a plan as in the c section, are you in every week for monitoring and scans?

annlee3817 · 23/07/2022 21:32

@110APiccadilly someone on the FB group said that love hearts have been working really well on their heartburn, I'm realising that it's wheat based food that is really setting me.off, driving me mad. Didn't have it last time really

Things are as ok as can be. I have Vasa Previa and other complications which means I have no choice but to have a planned c-section very early. My entire pregnancy has been marred with bleeding episodes throughout and I'm being kept as an inpatient until the point of delivery. I've been on bed rest since approx 24 weeks too! I have a thread named 22wks and bleeding from which I started detailing my journey as it's been a long one. Hopefully it will all be worth it when we can safely have our babes in arms x

Butterflytulip · 24/07/2022 06:42

@madeleine85 4 check-ups a week must be hard going but great they are keeping such close eye on you. Every extra day in the womb makes a big difference. I read on my baby centre app that from 34 weeks baby is fully developed and has same chance as if born at 40 weeks. Can't wait to hear your happy news and also but strange that's there's an actual fully grown baby in me lol at 34 weeks! So odd!!! Haha.

@handbagsandholidays hope you are ok. That's super rough but glad they are keeping an eye on you too.

Hard to believe that in 1-2 weeks our first baby on the group could be born!!

Butterflytulip · 25/07/2022 09:55

How is everyone keeping?
I'm 34 weeks this week.
Starting to find sleeping uncomfortable and now walking at a snails pace outside! Found it really uncomfortable yesterday. We usually walk every evening but It's a struggle now!!
Iv got a growth scan on Wednesday. Baby was 3lb 10 at 32 week check so hopefully there's been good growth the last 2 weeks.

@Carebear99 where did you go? Hope you are ok.

Hope everyone else who might go wary due to various reasons are ok. Hope those babas sit tight for another week 🤞

So glad the weather in UK has cooled down a bit! Still humid but it's so much more manageable 😂

HaresHoping · 25/07/2022 13:41

I'm 34 weeks too tomorrow @Butterflytulip! Sorry to hear about your discomfort. I'm also really struggling to sleep due to hip and back pain, so uncomfortable and my bump feels heavy in bed. I'm shattered today.

I overdid it on Saturday by having the audacity to go to B&M for some hospital bag bits, and walking up and down the stairs a few times at home. Could barely walk by the evening. Bloody PGP. Finding it frustrating not being able to just get on with stuff.

On the final countdown for work though thank goodness. Two and a half weeks to go!

How is everyone else doing?

@Butterflytulip sleep wise I'm comfortable, but waking up every two hours 🙄 think some use the FB page more.

@handbagsandholidays sorry that you've had such a rough time of it, but good that they're keeping a close eye on you.

@HaresHoping sorry the PGP is playing up for you, haven't had it myself, but it sounds painful and must be so frustrating!

I've got 11 working days left and it really can't come quick enough, last time with being signed off It didn't matter if I had a crap night's sleep as was on bed rest, so was able to catch up in the day. Started on my raspberry leaf tea on Saturday, and will start my hypnobirthing download tonight I think :)

Carebear99 · 25/07/2022 14:09

@Butterflytulip hi! I'm on the Facebook group but completely forgot about mumsnet. I'm 34 weeks on Friday, getting closer now! How are you doing?

awwbiscuits · 25/07/2022 14:16

34 weeks today. Starting to feel enormous and waddling. Bought lots of bits for baby though so have quite a bit sorted now. The kicks are getting more and more uncomfortable. Baby has hiccups nearly every day.

LaddieCthulu · 25/07/2022 15:56

Well I am 34+4, and am supposed to have contacted st thomas last week to book a 36 week scan and to book an appt with the link obstetrician to get my c-section booked, but there has been an IT outage since last Wednesday... So no appointments can be booked or messages taken.

Sabiina · 25/07/2022 17:07

Hi @all
New here to this site, however I’m 34 weeks today. How is everyone doing? X
