@madeleine85 ahhh mine is pushing down and my round ligament pain is back I think because of it!

@Sweetbabydust1989 haha that's so funny! I always wonder what part of her body I can actually feel, I guess it's either bum or her head 😂

@Sweetbabydust1989 have you any photos? I can't wait to see our baby's little face 😩

@Peauela she really is I think she likes having her feet by her face 😂 hope she goes head down soon I am just worried about her weight I am high risk for small babies anyway but she is on the small side atm only 2lb 1oz so they keep checking my placenta as I had issues with it with my first born xx

What a day! My car broke down, then I had a hypo because I didn't eat quickly enough. Luckily DH has proved his weight in gold by towing my car home and making me something to eat.

Hi guys, had my GTT today and already had the call back to say my sugars are high. Had a 15 minute chat with the midwife giving lots of information, my head is spinning! No more biscuits for me 😢

Ah sorry to hear this. There are few of us in this group who have GD, I had the call last week and have an appointment with the diabetes next week. We can get through this together.

I've ordered myself some cupcakes from a friend who makes the BEST cakes, this my treat to myself once the baby is born.

Thanks, just another worry isn’t it. The midwife was saying how I’d have to have baby on the delivery suite and be kept in for 24 hours at least. That was already the plan for me as I have low platelets! The extra scans will be nice, but not looking forward to doing the finger prick 4 times a day! Now been switched to a different consultant and have to see the dietician. I’ll be interested to see what they say as I’m also allergic to wheat, so the whole wheat pasta/bread/cereal is a no go for me.

How is everyone else coping with it? She said there’s an app to log the readings so they can remotely keep a check on it.

There is a Facebook group for women with gestational diabetes, I've found them quite supportive and a mine of information. I don't think a lot of GD women can tolerate pasta/ bread/ cereal.

I'm looking forward to my meeting with diabetic team instead of guessing what I should be doing for now!

Ahh sorry to everyone who is getting GD, that is rotten luck. Not long to go now though fortunately! I had my 30 week checkup today, fundal measurement a little small, but they weren't too concerned. Just asked if my DD was also little, which she was. She thought he might be head down, and today i've had weird little flutters in the middle of my rib cage, so maybe he has finally moved and will stop with the head in my ribs position... girl can dream :). She did say that at this stage using hands to feel position its easy to confuse their head and bum though!

Sorry for all those who have been diagnosed with GD. It's crap but only short term thankfully.
Anyone else waking up with awful calf cramps?! My god I was nearly in tears and was definitely screaming asking my partner for help.
I had a 29 week check up this week and all good. 😊

Awful cramps every night, and occasionally set off by putting on shoes. It feels slightly different to non-pregannacy cramp too. I can't describe it! But as soon as I try and stretch my legs in bed ... Off we go.

Morning all. I'm feeling tearful this morning, another night of crap sleep. I was awake until 2.30, I decided it might be hunger keeping me awake so had a snack. Went back to wake and was awake and until 4.30 and have had small bursts of sleep.

I just can't get comfortable! I really can't do this for another 3 months 😭

Hi all! I join the sleep deprived club! My round ligament pain is back and with extra force this time, I couldn't turn around at night and can barely walk 😅

Sorry to all those who have GD and are struggling with discomfort and lack of sleep, 4.30am is my get up time these days, but had a late night last night at the concert and thankfully slept until 6.30.

@LaddieCthulu the cramps are horrible aren't they! I'm trying to focus on staying as hydrated as possible to help, and avoid the morning stretch which is pretty much impossible, I woke up with it the other night and woke DH up as yelled out, he couldn't get back to sleep after that 😬

Had the wonderful lightning crotch today.... On and off for around an hour, not sure if she is jabbing something, but wasn't fun.

These 3rd trimester pregnancy side effects are just lovely :)

My doctor yesterday recommended daily baths with epsom salts for aches/pains. Just in case anyone wants to try it. Wonder if the leg pains can be helped by bananas etc like if you get a charlie horse. Worth a shot?

@madeleine85 that's interesting that your doctor has recommended Epsom salts. I have a bag on my bathroom but it says not for use during pregnancy or beast feeding. I would love an Epsom salt bath though!

Oh wow, thanks for saying that @TurquoiseDreamCatcher I had no idea. The doctor literally said to me yesterday that she had twins and had an epsom salt bath every day in her 3rd trimester. Although I gave it a quick google and it seems to be ok... though she highly recommended baths and I thought that would be a really bad idea since they are generally hot. God damn pregnancy minefield of yes/no/who knows. Also my toddler loves nothing more than running at me when i'm in a bath, flinging off her clothes as she goes while screaming for bubbles. Doesn't make for the most relaxing situation!

@madeleine85 you are right, all the information about pregnancy is so conflicting. I'm never sure if I'm doing the right thing or not!

Im also due september this year, good luck! baby number 2 for me but my first girl, must be easier than my little boy! I want 4 total, motherhood is everything to me xxx
