@Capricorn8990 thatโ€™s a lovely name.

Sounds like your birth was quite quick and dramatic!

I definitely need to get my bag sorted ๐Ÿ˜…

beetree1 · 20/06/2022 07:21

Glad your both okay @Capricorn8990 and love the name Alora! X

ChinChilly · 20/06/2022 07:45

@CaptainCarp operation hospital bag and baby clothes washing today ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ was up throughout the night with period pains, back ache and pressure round the rear.. its all probs nothing but i really do need to get organised.

@Capricorn8990 lovely name!

Coco9910 · 20/06/2022 07:52

@Capricorn8990 Alora is a beautiful name! ๐Ÿ˜ Congratulations again and glad you are both doing well! What was your due date?

@Lianna93 that sounds exhausting! I wonder if it was your body getting ready for labour!

Itโ€™s definitely making it more real now people are having their babies ๐Ÿฅฐ I canโ€™t wait to finish work next week and start nesting properly!

ShellUK09 · 20/06/2022 08:08

@Lianna93 no it doesn't sound like you are too far away either! Think there may be a few June babies on here. It's exciting ๐Ÿ™‚

@ChinChilly also spending the day washing more baby clothes and packing last bits of hospital bag as this group has made me think things really can happen anytime now!

@Capricorn8990 lovely name ๐Ÿฅฐ glad all is well and your labour was quick. Enjoy your baby bubble ๐Ÿ’•

I've got my final antenatal class tonight via Zoom and have to agree the birth plan on Wednesday at the midwife appt. Just finished work on Friday so hoping I get a few weeks to unwind before anything happens but I know anything can happen. I'm 36 weeks today, my bump also feels different the last few days. Tighter and as if she has suddenly grown more and sometimes the kicks really startle me now as they are stronger!

annie1994 · 20/06/2022 09:48

@Capricorn8990 glad youโ€™re both doing ok! Our first June baby ๐Ÿ˜

@Lianna93 sounds like things are starting for you!! How far along are you? Itโ€™s so annoying when things stop and start, but I think thatโ€™s quite normal. Itโ€™s still a good sign though that your body is getting ready!

missv556 · 20/06/2022 10:34

Last week at my midwife appointment, she found traces of protein and leukocytes so she sent it off to check it for infection. The gp has just called saying my white blood cells were high so he's prescribed some antibiotics. I know its for my own good but I'm just tired now, feels like there's one thing after another with this pregnancy. I'm already taking several pills a day for various things, its just a lot and needed a whinge so I came here.

Danani · 20/06/2022 11:49

Hi everyone,

I understand the fundal height measurements can be notoriously incorrect but just looking for some reassurance: my bump has always been measuring bang on the 50 percentile line but today had my 34 week appointment and is measuring 32.5. The MW I saw today was new to me, so not sure if itโ€™s to do with how she measured. She was not concerned, said itโ€™s slightly below the usual (for me) line but said no need to refer me for growth scan.
I donโ€™t want to worry, but now I am a little worried. My next appointment is in 2 weeks time.

just looking for someone to put my mind at restโ€ฆ

Lianna93 · 20/06/2022 11:52

@Capricorn8990 beautiful name ๐Ÿฅฐ

@Coco9910 I'm absolutely drained today. Feeling better but I feel really 'off' as well ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

@annie1994 Im 38 weeks tomorrow ๐Ÿ˜ I'm so, so excited to meet my wee baby but I don't know if I'm ready for her to come this week ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ˜‚ Next week is fine though ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

@missv556 Sorry to hear you're having such a rough time ๐Ÿ˜ž Think we're all getting to the stage of being over being pregnant now ๐Ÿ™ˆ We're almost all there though ๐Ÿฅฐ

Peters27 · 20/06/2022 12:15

@Danani I was same and at 36 weeks I jumped from 50th to the 97th centile on fundal height, I got a growth scan and baby is around the 75th centile-thr fundall height measurements in my opinion are totally inaccurate anyway especially when multiple midwives doing-that time was also a new midwife for me!So I wouldn't worry honestly!

Lianna93 · 20/06/2022 12:23

@Danani My fundal height has measured waaay off the 97th but at growth scans baby has measured below 50th.
Sonographer was baffled by my fundal measurements ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ˜‚

Hi everyone, can I join? I'm due 28 June with my first but definitely think I'm going to go overdue. 38 weeks and 6 days but have barely even had any Braxton Hicks! Baby feels quite low which I hope is a good sign

Mads96 · 20/06/2022 12:36

Hi, not posted for a while so been catching up.
Congratulations @Capricorn8990 ! Enjoy the newborn bubble :)

I have been having extra scans as my first baby was small and my second is looking like a small baby too and they are unsure why- I could just have small babies! The last few days I have been having increased watery discharge TMI sorry! It's watery and there is also white discharge that also dries in patches, is anyone else having the same? I'm 36+5 and just feeling really anxious about every little thing now.

Danani · 20/06/2022 12:59

Thank you @Peters27 and @Lianna93 ! Reading your replies does make me feel better! I guess I have to just wait and see how the 36-week app goes in 2 weeks. Hopefully, little bubba is growing fine in there!

beetree1 · 20/06/2022 14:00

Hi @Danani im in the same boat Iโ€™ve was measuring too big at 90th percentile so got sent for growth scan sonographer said baby was measuring perfect and would probably be a little chunk but nothing to be concerned about. Then at my 34 week appointment midwife said it had dropped to 50th percentile I had my 36 week appointment this morning and baby is still on 50th percentile but again lower than 2 weeks ago so going for another growth scan. Just waiting for appointment.

im a bit worried but hoping like last time itโ€™s just inaccurate. I swear every time the midwife measure my stomach she does it from a different point.

I think Iโ€™ve lost my plug this morning as well x

strawberrysummer19 · 20/06/2022 17:16

Baby is very active today ! Lots of jabs and rolls
And it's been really nice but now I'm thinking is everything ok?!

She's not usually very active - she has quiet days and then more active days but I've really noticed them more today

I'm 35wks Tuesday and she's nearly 6lb so wondering if I can just feel them more now ? Has anyone else had this?

Also feeling her a lot more all over the bump rather than just in places

Other than that feeling tired and uncomfortable x

ShellUK09 · 20/06/2022 17:33

@strawberrysummer19 that sounds like me, I can feel baby rolling around more now and I am 36 weeks. Definitely feels like stronger kicks and some of them shock me! Also just noticed today when I was sat in the sun in the garden that she moves more in the sun, I didn't stay out too long as not sure if she was too hot! I'm just hot and bothered but ice cream in this weather helps ๐Ÿ™‚

@Danani I also was sent for a growth scan as midwife thought baby was measuring big but then at the scan was told she was actually measuring average. Had a follow up scan and been discharged now. I think it is all a bit of a guess! Will see what happens when midwife measures bump this week though, I may end up back for another scan...

@beetree1 ah wow you have lost your plug! I'm overwhelmed at the progress we are all making now. Won't be long for more little ones to come along โ˜บ๏ธ

strawberrysummer19 · 20/06/2022 18:02

@ShellUK09 that's reassuring to know
When I looked it up it said any change of movement to call in - I've already been in 3 times now since 20wks for reduced movement so almost feel a bit silly!! My first was sooooo active I used to think is she in distress? But with this one her movements have been on the quieter side throughout apart from today!! X I can't wait to not have this worry although I know the worrying doesn't stop! X

KizboBaggins · 20/06/2022 18:28

@GrowBabyGrow welcome! How are you feeling?

@strawberrysummer19 the worrying is constant isn't it! I feel like every day I'm debating whether his movements have changed or whether it's because when I'm in the office or busy I just don't notice them as much... stresses me out though! It's hard to know what constitutes as a change in movement really

strawberrysummer19 · 20/06/2022 18:50

@KizboBaggins oh I know, it really is ! I won't miss this feeling!! The constant worry if all is ok. X

CaptainCarp · 20/06/2022 19:47

@Capricorn8990 that's a lovely name & a nice size โ˜บ

@ChinChilly at least you will know you're ready even if it turns out to be nothing!

@missv556 sorry to hear you're having a rough time of it! Sometimes you just need to vent & that's fine.

@GrowBabyGrow you're more than welcome as proved already in this group due dates don't necessarily mean a lot lol. I'm being induced Monday as well so likely to have a June rather than July baby.

@strawberrysummer19 @KizboBaggins @ShellUK09 i wonder if I'm too chilled about babies movement. They've changed quite a bit now... Still roughly the same times but a lot more just pressing & rolling with only the occasional jab.
I assumed it was to do with having less room & thought it was only reduced movement that was an issue not a change as such.

GrowBabyGrow · 20/06/2022 20:13

Thank you ladies ๐Ÿค— I must say I am very ready for baby to be born now. My bump feels absolutely huge so a bit worried about how big they will be if I go overdue. Currently about 70th centile. Definitely relate to the movements anxiety especially as the feeling of them changes as she gets lower and has less room.

ChinChilly · 20/06/2022 22:15

@CaptainCarp youโ€™re right, I managed to get a chunk of baby washing done today, all the vests and smaller sleep suits.

Still getting the period pains and back ache but Iโ€™ve been fairly busy today to try take my mind of it. Has anybody else not done any antenatal classes? I havenโ€™t done anyโ€ฆhonestly what have I been doing for the last 30 odd weeks.

welcome @GrowBabyGrow

SamanthaVimes · 21/06/2022 06:27

@ChinChilly we havenโ€™t done any classes this time. Last time we only really did them to meet people. Most of it is just common sense, there were a couple of bits that surprised me:

baby girls can have a mini period thing from all the hormones left over from birth so if you see a tiny bit of blood in the nappy donโ€™t panic

the frilly bits on nappy legs are meant to stick out, youโ€™ll get leaks otherwise

itโ€™s normal for then not to want to be put down (especially in the early days/weeks) and you wonโ€™t break them forever by holding them (newborn cuddles are lovely as well so enjoy them while you can, soon theyโ€™re toddlers and you only get a cuddle if theyโ€™ve fallen over)

the time they can be in a car seat or bouncer is really short to start with as their head control is so rubbish they can deprive themselves of oxygen as theyโ€™re not strong enough to move

time on your chest counts as tummy time (so thereโ€™s no need to force a baby who hates it onto the floor)

Fizzybubblegumbottles · 21/06/2022 06:28

@ChinChilly if it makes you feel any better this is my 3rd and Iโ€™ve never attended any antenatal classes at all ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ™ˆ I had my first at 19 had no clue what I was doing! Now nearly 11 years old and doing fine lol x
