@strawberrysummer19 glad all was well with your growth scan ๐Ÿ˜Š

@Coco9910 make sure to give yourself time to rest.
Viral fatigue is definitely a thing & I'm sure being pregnant doesn't help.
I bought 1 pair of pj bottoms to take to hospital & 2 vests for pj tops at the moment.

@Confusion101 hope you feel better soon to.

Can't believe I've only got 4-5 weeks from tomorrow! Also in 2 weeks I'll be classed as term which is exciting & terrifying measure! ๐Ÿ˜‚

I feel like I've actually got the pregnancy glow/energy that was promised in the 2nd trimester.
I spent most of the 2nd exhausted & now actually feel pretty good. Other than baby jabbing me under the ribs or in the side ๐Ÿ˜‚

ChinChilly · 29/05/2022 17:54

@JJ1992 Yes! This happened to me last week, it was like a wierd crust on them! I asked my friend who has 5 babies so she knows more than most and she just said they've leaked and it has just dried on. I have to say I initially thought it was just some sort of wierd pregnancy related dry skin on my nipples until I started messing with it ๐Ÿ™„

Isnt it such a weird thing! Never had to exfoliate my nipples before ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜…
Im honestly just amazed at what the body can do and how quickly it can completely change!

JJ1992 · 29/05/2022 21:38

@Coco9910 i feel like this is probably a challenging time in pregnancy too where baby still feels quite far away but your body is really starting to get tired of pregnancy.
My mood is all over the place too and defintiely worse when im on my own.
Just think 8 weeks time and it will all be worth it ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿงก

CaptainCarp · 29/05/2022 22:24

@JJ1992 i wonder if I've got a tiny bit of milk leakage as well... I've had a whitish substance in my nipple which i thought was just a bit of dead skin but after yours & chinchillys description maybe I'm wrong.

A couple of times ive felt it wet and seen little we patches on my pjs but sometimes ita just dried bits in the morning on my pyjama tops. So maybe yours is leaking into your bra through the day or clothes overnight and you dont notice! It never seems to be much for me just like a couple of 5p size area wet

ShellUK09 · 29/05/2022 22:42

@JJ1992 wow glad you've brought that up, I thought I just had dry skin on my nipples! It is fascinating how your body changes and adapts. @strawberrysummer19 you sound exactly like me during the night, I seem to wake up every couple of hours dying for a wee. I'm always tired! My hospital bag is almost done now too, just got to put it all in. Have bought some plastic organiser bags so I can keep it neat and it will make it easier for my partner to find things in the hospital.

Following my bump's growth spurt, I've had a tenderness/slight pain in the front of my hips, and it's definitely making me walk slower now. My bump just feels so heavy. Looking on Google it sounds a bit like pelvic girdle pain? Sometimes it's hard to get in and out of bed and go up stairs. It's another thing to mention at my next midwife appt ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

strawberrysummer19 · 29/05/2022 22:45

@ShellUK09 that's exactly how I feel! So uncomfortable and Thai pelvic pain and yes the bladder is bad but has been throughout as it's bad anyway
But walking l, stairs are so uncomfortable
So apart from gentle walks and my birth ball
I'm really going to limit and take it easy where I can
The last few days I've felt it but I think it's because she's now engaged

I too have some clear mind plastic bags
They are fab! Such a good idea

It's so nice getting organised isn't it

Does anybody here get dried bits of orange on their nipples? Just a very small amount.
i woke up with some white crusty stuff on my areola too. I notice it a lot more on my right breast than my left.

laurenGame · 30/05/2022 04:43

I'm due on the 5th ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ
But prob getting induced at 39 weeks so will be 28 June ! Can't wait tbh- everything hurts and I don't know how I can carry the growing weight for another month
I've never had back pain before and now it hurts to turn on the other side in bed

Lianna93 · 30/05/2022 06:25

@laurenGame I feel ya ๐Ÿ˜ฉ I'm due the 5th too but really hoping baby comes early cos I feel exactly the same. My back/hips are constantly clicking now with any movement whereas they never used to. My hyperemisis seems to have gotten much worse this week too ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ™„

Bright side - this is my last week of work & then I'm officially finished! 2 weeks of annual leave starts on Friday then Maternity leave starts on the 20th ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป

Aaaah Iโ€™m jealous @Lianna93 !

back in January when everything was fine I stupidly told woke airily Iโ€™d work till 2 weeks before. Regretting that now! Theyโ€™re v lovely and wouldnโ€™t mind at all if I brought it forward by a week or so, I just feel inner guilt for doing that - need to pull up my big girl pants and have a convo I feel, everything is just getting so much harder and more tiring, even though I wfh

laurenGame · 30/05/2022 07:44

Yes @Lianna93 I remember you're my due date twin ๐Ÿ‘ฏโ€โ™€๏ธ I'm also finishing work this Friday but have some studies to finish for the next 2 weeks BUT will feel nice to go on mat leave - so surreal I've worked since 16 yo!

Actually how crazy it'll be having a baby to care for but no work deadlines, or checking the calendar for the day ahead, or rushing around to log in on time for the Teams call, not stressing over demanding clients. It's the life I know ๐Ÿ˜‚

I do wonder if I'll miss the fast pace after a while ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

feliznavidad2 · 30/05/2022 07:53

Another 5th July-er here ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

I've finished work as of Friday, got three weeks A/L before going on official mat leave at 38 weeks.

Hope the next couple of weeks zoom by for you ladies, we're nearly there.

ShellUK09 · 30/05/2022 09:22

Aaah it's exciting now everyone is starting to finish work ๐Ÿ˜€ I've got until 17th June but glad this week has bank holidays to break it up. Can't wait to be offline and no more online team meetings!

2littleloves · 30/05/2022 09:30

Hey guys, can I join? โ˜บ๏ธ

I'm due on 27th July also, baby no.3 for me, have my oldest 4th birthday 20th june and youngest 2nd birthday 5th July. Both my boys were 2 weeks early so semi hoping baby girl will be too, like many of you I'm in agony! 3rd time with SPD and most definitely the last pregnancy for me!

beetree1 · 30/05/2022 10:17

Welcome @2littleloves !

I packed my hospital bag this weekend just need to do the baby's, but I'm still working my way through all their washing and I have my baby shower this weekend which I'm looking forward to ๐Ÿ˜Š

I've also been feeling rough the last few days with a sore throat but also testing negative. I've only got a 2 day week this week and another 2 day week next week them I'm on AL before my maternity. I can't wait now, I'm so done lol

CaptainCarp · 30/05/2022 11:11

@2littleloves never to late to join us!

I'm getting a bit jealous of all you starting maternity leave. Maybe I made the wrong decision only going off a week before! Although I think I'd probably just procrastinate at home rather than getting stuff done ๐Ÿ˜‚

I got a few bits together for my hospital bag yesterday but didn't get very far.
I have also written a to do list of stuff I've got to do in the next couple of weeks for baby.

strawberrysummer19 · 30/05/2022 12:03

GTT test back and I don't have gestational diabetes yay

I asked my midwife as she was on the phone about when / who I can talk to about birthing options and considering c section
She said I have to go to birth afterthoughts ?

So have sent them an email and also have my consultant call 8th June

She started to say 'remind me of your first birth again ' ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ™„then almost talking me into a vaginal
Saying well it may not happen again

I had birth trauma and she said well they can access your notes etc well that's fine
I still had birth trauma!

X

2littleloves · 30/05/2022 13:01

Thank you @beetree1 and @CaptainCarp!

I also have my baby shower this weekend, can't wait! ๐Ÿ’—

I've been off work since 20 weeks with so much annual leave left from my last baby and our NHS policy won't let me work from 28 weeks... means I've got bags packed (although hoping for home birth no.2) and everything prepared so now left twiddling my thumbs. Never thought I would wish to go to work lol.

Does everyone know what they are having? Or having a lovely surprise?

@CaptainCarp
That's great news about no gestational diabetes, hopefully now you can relax and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy.

beetree1 · 30/05/2022 13:07

@2littleloves how many weeks are you? Least you're prepared! I've used up all my accrued AL as well so my mat leave doesn't officially start until my due date. Hoping I get some time with my dd before the arrival of the new family member. My last one was 4 weeks early.

We're having a surprise. Do you know what you're having?

ChinChilly · 30/05/2022 16:42

@2littleloves Welcome ๐Ÿ˜Š

@strawberrysummer19 I hate the way some trusts come across as reluctant to do elective sections.. it's your choice and your choice should be respected

I think I'm going to use my last 8&1/2 days annual leave and some flex hours I've built up and finish work before the 1st July.. I really can't be bothered with it. Im so uncomfortable, not sleeping well at night and work is the last thing i wanna be doing ๐Ÿ˜ซ

Lianna93 · 30/05/2022 17:38

Welcome @2littleloves !!

I genuinely don't think I could do my job for much longer. First shift back today after 2 weeks off & I have absolutely struggled with it ๐Ÿ˜ฌ 3 more to go though!
My colleagues threw me a mini baby shower today too ๐Ÿฅบ

I just went to primark to get a few bits & bobs for my hospital back & genuinely feel like I could just curl up & sleep forever ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ˜‚ I'm exhausted & in agony after today!

Baby has been kicking like daft today because of hearing all my colleagues around me - which hopefully means she'll let me sleep tonight ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜‚

I'm finishing work at 33 weeks! Cannot wait. I'm so tired now. Is everyone on iron supplements? My GP never told me to start taking them

Lianna93 · 30/05/2022 19:12

@Confusion101 I was prescribed them by my midwife because I was teetering on the edge of anemia. Bloods are back to normal but I've to continue taking them just to be on the safe side.
