@deliwoman1 oh really 8? My bubs is measuring big at the mo, on 97th centile and my last baby was 9lb and went straight into
0-3 so just unsure of how much newborn to actually take
I'm my next growth scan is Tuesday so maybe I'll wait until then to see if she's still on that scale but I know they can be very inaccurate!

I have only purchased 0-3 at the mo but I guess I should get some newborn just incase

X

Fizzybubblegumbottles · 25/05/2022 18:36

@deliwoman1 youโ€™re welcome ๐Ÿฅฐ I hope it all works out for you whatever you decide and goes well x

@strawberrysummer19 Im not even sure how many of each to take and this is my third ๐Ÿ˜‚I am 34 weeks on Friday and havenโ€™t even started packing yet but I have started buying stuff to pack in there. Iโ€™m off work next week for half term so planning to finish getting my hospital stuff and wash all the babies stuff and get it packed by 35 weeks lol I donโ€™t live far from the hospital either so wonโ€™t be an issue if need more stuff x

strawberrysummer19 · 25/05/2022 19:16

@Fizzybubblegumbottles it's so hard isn't it!!

Has anyone got a little baby pod for them to sleep in? I ordered one but it was so flimsy so I sent it back. I would like one for if we visiting friends and maybe to use at home

If anyone can recommend one?

I have a cot for downstairs sleeping but would like something additional

CaptainCarp · 25/05/2022 20:03

Had another scan today baby is growing on a nice trajectory & blood flow is all good.
But its flipped around & is now breech instead of head down! ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ
So I'm booked in for a c-section with the option to cancel if we've flipped back to head down at the next scan in 2 weeks or even on the day of the c-section!

I am more worried about a c-section than Vaginal birth so the opposite you guys wanting an elective C. But if 1 needs to be done it'll be done.

strawberrysummer19 · 25/05/2022 20:40

@CaptainCarp ah im glad to hear all is well but I'm sorry to hear bubs is breech. However there is still time to move.

So how far gone are you if they have booked a c section? And have you actually got a date? X

CaptainCarp · 25/05/2022 22:53

@strawberrysummer19 baby hasn't behaved for any scan so shouldn't be surprised really ๐Ÿ˜‚
Think it's showing off that it can still do somersaults!

I'm 34 weeks now but they've booked the section for 39 weeks because it's a lot easier to cancel than to try & book it in a couple of weeks if baby doesn't move.
So if I have to have a c-section I'll actually have a June baby.

Hope3821 · 25/05/2022 23:52

Hey all. I know there's a few mums here who have had covid. I finally tested positive today after a few days of cold symptoms. The worst just now is the acheyness, on top of the pregnancy aches I just can't get comfy to sleep so only getting little blips here and there, wish I could take ibuprofen as well as paracetamol ๐Ÿ˜ฉ paracetamol has never cut it for me. How long did everyone's symptoms last?
I've to book in for a scan and CGT now with a follow up in 4 weeks.

HotToddyColdSauvignon · 26/05/2022 04:48

Hope you feel better soon @Hope3821

I had covid at around 28 weeks?, couple of days where I just had to stay in bed, rest as much as I could as I literally couldnโ€™t do anything else.

Then sniffly cold type symptoms for about a week. Had a cough when laying down which lasted for about 3 weeks or so. Touch wood youโ€™ll be out of the woods soon

Mattieandmummy · 26/05/2022 05:25

@Hope3821 hope it's a mild case for you.

For me, symptoms were about a week and then it took an absolute age, possibly two weeks to actually test negative.

strawberrysummer19 · 26/05/2022 05:57

@CaptainCarp my bubs hasn't been in good angles at my most recent scans either ๐Ÿ˜ฌso interested to see what she's doing next week where I'll be 32wks

That's interesting as Im seriously considering a c selection but I have a consult a week after my 32wk scan so hopefully confirm there

So bubs has time to move, fingers crossed for you x

Hope3821 · 26/05/2022 09:18

Thanks @HotToddyColdSauvignon @Mattieandmummy ๐Ÿ’– I'm literally so uncomfortable with aches I have to switch between the couch and bed constantly. Pretty sure this cough will stick around longer but here's hoping I feel generally better soon ๐Ÿคž it's exhausting!

CaptainCarp · 26/05/2022 14:39

@strawberrysummer19 I would definitely discuss options with your consultant as it's best to get it booked up.

I think baby has moved to transverse as my movements are no longer top & bottom but more each side / across my stomach ๐Ÿค”
We'll have to see in 2 weeks!

@Hope3821 hope the aches ease for you soon.
Embrace your inner sloth & aim for sleep as much as possible!

strawberrysummer19 · 26/05/2022 15:07

@CaptainCarp that's my fear that she is transverse
I'm getting lots of jabs and kicks to my left hand side
And my right hand side I get very lop sided like something is pushing out!

X

Coco9910 · 26/05/2022 16:13

Does anyone know at what week is raspberry leaf tea advised?

Lianna93 · 26/05/2022 16:36

@Coco9910 I asked my midwife about this today! She said to hold off until I'm 37 weeks just to be on the safe side of things :)

Saw my midwife today ladies - can confirm that baby has in fact dropped & her head is sitting in my pelvis ๐Ÿ˜ฌ
I'm convinced now baby is gonna come early & she'll be here mid to late June ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ˜‚ I could be totally wrong though... ๐Ÿ˜‚

Seeing my midwife in 3 weeks time & I've been booked for a double appointment to discuss my birth plan - it's starting to feel so incredibly real now ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿฅฐ

Also - back to the pants discussion from the other day! ๐Ÿ˜‚
I picked up these from Primark - thought I'd give them a shot for during the night cos idk about you lovely lot, but I can't even wear a panty liner during the night without feeling uncomfortable ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ˜‚

@Hope3821 I've felt exactly the same with COVID this week, I'm starting to feel better today but I have spent virtually the whole week in pj's.. hope you feel better soon.

@CaptainCarp last time I went to the midwife she was head down but I think she has moved aswell, loads of movements on the side and it feels like low down again

Just put the pushchair up to get rid of some of the boxes taking over the spare room.. ๐Ÿฅบ๐Ÿฅบ feels abit scary real!

ChinChilly · 26/05/2022 16:43

@Lianna93 let me know how you get on with those, the panty liners are driving me mad. I dunno how I'm gonna cope with big old maternity pads

Lianna93 · 26/05/2022 16:52

@ChinChilly I will do!
I'm constantly having to wear liners right now & I'm absolutely hating it ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ˜‚

OP posts:
annie1994 · 26/05/2022 16:57

@Lianna93 good idea about the period pants! Atm Iโ€™m only having to wear panty liners during the day as normally ok at night but I hate them so much!!!

JJ1992 · 26/05/2022 17:11

Coming on here every couple days to check if anyones had signs of baby coming! We are getting pretty close ๐Ÿ‘€ especially the late june mamas!

Hope3821 · 26/05/2022 17:34

Oh wow @Lianna93 that makes it so much more real, hope it's not too uncomfortable for you. Omg I nearly bought those pants too, maybe I'll go in for a pair.. Don't mind the pantyliners so much, but the maternity pads for after look horrendous & so uncomfortable!

@ChinChilly oh hope you feel better now. Yeh doesn't feel like it'll ease off too quickly. I just want a bath of liquid ibuprofen for the aches! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Random note but my friend described her pregnancy as overwhelming, magical, strange, wonderful and exhausting all at the same time. I feel her! ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿฅต๐Ÿฅด๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

ChinChilly · 26/05/2022 17:56

@Hope3821 I always hit the ibuprofen, paracetamol has never really done much for me so not being abit to dose myself up has been horrible. My sinuses are so painful to ๐Ÿ˜ฉ its been a few days of a pity party over here ๐Ÿคฃ I'd say that's an accurate description of pregnancy some days I enjoy it and other days I'm so over it already

KizboBaggins · 26/05/2022 18:22

@strawberrysummer19 @CaptainCarp my baby is the same - jabs on the left, hard/pushed out on the right and movements both sides, not top and bottom. I was convinced he'd moved transverse. But I saw the midwife today and she said he's head down, with his bum/spine on the right and all four limbs on the left.

I've been booked in for another growth scan tomorrow because bump is measuring small. Last time he was predicted to come out at 8lbs 6 which definitely isn't small! So I'm not too concerned, and it'll be nice to see him again. Plus my bump has grown 4cm in 3 weeks so definitely getting bigger!

@Lianna93 those pants look good! I think I'll get some.

This might be a stupid question but how come people are wearing panty liners already? For discharge?

strawberrysummer19 · 26/05/2022 18:35

@KizboBaggins oh really? That's very interesting
Hmm so she could well be
I have definitely pressure and uncomfortable in my pelvis and I do feel like I have to waddle
Now ! X
