Urgh sorry just catching up after a pretty miserable weekend thanks to PTSD passing on his germs to the whole house. Currently feel like death but at least PTSD only wants to snuggle and watch TV so feel very grateful he doesn't want proper entertainment for once 🤞🏻 it's like having a newborn again, he's so clingy and sad I can't put him down for a second... and he's ended up sleeping on me for the end of the last couple of nights because that's the only way he'll go back to sleep 😴

Hope you get to the bottom of things @Lexber but you sound really on it 🤞🏻

You are bossing this @DKDK123 💪🏻

Also RE the dentist chat, which I know is several days old now but still, yes I should be entitled to free dentistry until a year PP but of course my dentist has just gone private so 🙄 and they'll now accept PTSD as a patient funnily enough, they didn't have space for him when they were still NHS 🤔 no NHS spaces anywhere round here, it's absolute carnage

Minster2012 · 30/05/2022 15:56

I think we might have a sickly baby here too @Soph0105, I'm just entirely sure how to tell if a baby is sick?? No temp, but just pooing all the time, & very clingy, last night wouldn't settle at all & was half waking/whinging all night. I'm shattered & have a headache & puked up this morning 🙄
That's so annoying on the dentist 🦷

@DKDK123 we have a very sleepy baby here too during the day, so difficult to keep her awake for any length of time so I feel your pain!

@Lexber that's good she's got monitoring, I hope the doctor was some use? What is a nice poo? I need to check that as we've got so many poos here atm! 🤞🏻you can work it out!!

@Vil10 I can't believe you are in single figures til DD!! That's crazy! But such good news on the house 🏡 seeee all coming together! Your mum will be a great help to you though I think rather than in laws?

@Franklydear you & DH are being so supportive to bestie you know it's all you can do, everything crossed she feels up to seeing you soon. Also on you feeling better too, def get yourself hooked in with that nurse

@paintfairy i can't help on the leaking I'm afraid but one?? That's frustrating! Maybe DH thinks sex will bring the baby on (which is possible as I know!) especially as you seem to have an alien inside you!!! Did you get the joiner sorted btw?

@InkyPaper your bump has time to pop! it is early to be thinking of childminders & nurseries but necessary to think that soon unfortunately, the childminder down the road sounds great! On that note @Juno231 we were talking to a friend yesterday who lives Richmond, and he said his 2 year old was at forest school that day. £90 for the day 😳we were joking it would be cheaper to send her to Yorkshire & X will teach her to climb a tree 🌲 😂we would t charge that much to have fun in a field 😆

@bez91 he went to clean your car the morning of the induction?? He was def nervously cleaning then, clearly his way of coping...bloody wish mine was like that.

@BellatrixK that sounds so good! Have a fantastic holiday, what's the temp atm in Egypt?

@whatwonder 🍆🍆🍆🍆

Well I think we've got illness here, I was sick this looking having woken up with a headache from poor sleep (I guess!) but after being sick made me feel a bit better! but showers now fixed, yeyyy might wash my hair tomorrow 😂, but I think my washer might be chewing clothes a bit??? A few small holes appearing in things ffs

Also on a really sad note, B wearing the "coming home" outfit today & it's already getting small? It's good but a bit sad too 😳

Somatronic · 30/05/2022 16:00

Hi All, figured I'd stick my head over here for a look even though I'm miles behind everyone else! I've been lurking for a while but didn't want to join too early.

I'm 8 weeks and 4 days now. Feeling pretty shit to be honest, just about keeping it together. I've taken next week off because I'm just about managing work. I'm not nauseous really, just absolutely unbelievably exhausted and I've been getting migraines. The tiredness is making me feel sick and very cranky. Today I slept for an hour after my lunch but obviously I can't do that on the 3 days a week I'm in my office. This is after sleeping for maybe 3 hours during the day yesterday and sleeping 10 hours last night, so it's not a lack of sleep obviously. I'm seeing a GP next week so hopefully he or she will be able to help me - though I suspect I just have to wait for the second trimester for this to resolve.

Hope everyone is OK. I haven't got a clue where anyone is in their journey anymore but I'm sure I'll catch up. Congratulations on all the babies - this is a busy thread!

larrythelizard · 30/05/2022 16:39

Exciting @whatwonder!! What finally evicted was the threat of induction (I was booked for induction on the Monday, went into labour Saturday night which ramped up enough to go to hospital on Sunday night!)

Pleased things are better @Lexber - I suspect you'll need to keep talking to them and reminding them that contrary to popular belief, you're not superwoman! Hope your jeans are in and you're now in clothes that fit. Also hope you get somewhere with Elsie, it does indeed sound like she's struggling digestive wise.

If you're OK with them moving in then that's great @InkyPaper - I could not cope with either set of parents here!! I know what you're saying re childcare but make sure you consider tax free childcare and also that it comes out of joint salary, not just yours!

Pleased you're feeling better @Franklydear

Whoop on completion date @Vil10 and also that you've only got 9 weeks to go!! What an exciting few months you're going to have. It'll be FIL's loss if he can't be arsed to step up and be in your lives.

Have a fab holiday @BellatrixK! Was the airport OK on the way out, I'm really nervous about our holiday in a few weeks and all the airport headlines!

Hope FIL and grandma enjoyed meeting Z @bez91. Definitely quite worried about managing the 1-2 transition...but it's going to happen so just need to go with it!

My bump isn't a cute nice shape @InkyPaper so I get exactly how you feel. I feel gross at the moment, like my thighs have got a lot fatter as well as the boobs and the bump.

Boob leak bodes well for breast feeding (if that's what you want to do) @paintfairy! DH also not that keen on pregnant sex. Actually passed out?!?!

Emily is still so little so it's pretty natural she's not very good at knowing the difference between day and night @DKDK123 - she'll get there and it's just one step in front of the other for now.

No NHS spaces here either @Soph0105 - I gave up and went private. Good reminder actually that I haven't had my NHS exemption card yet!

Oh @Minster2012 hope you girls are feeling a bit better by now. Definitely good not sad that B is growing out of her coming home outfit!

Hi @Somatronic welcome along!! How exciting to have you on this side! I've really struggled with migraines too - I find shit loads of water and a high protein diet have helped along with blue light glasses and fresh air breaks are the only thing that keeps them at bay - and doesn't always work.

Woke up at 1.30 this morning for a wee and baby was having quite the party, was a bit annoying as I wanted to go back to sleep!

Suddenly realised I go on holiday in June and I'm not sure I can get into any of my summer holiday clothes!! Need to have a trying on session and then work out what's the minimum amount of stuff I need to buy. Will wait until after I've seen the MW this weekend and got my fit to fly letter though.

OP posts:
paintfairy · 30/05/2022 17:23

Lexber interesting point on the issues with Elsie. Yes most of us would have no comparison and assume it was fine because no one was acknowledging an issue. But it sounds like there is a problem somewhere. I hope they can figure it out. Sometimes writing things down helps- I've done that before because then you aren't getting upset or frustrated and can get across your issue clearly. I hope your OH understands it a bit better now. They really do need it spelling out sometimes.
@DKDK123 I bought the haakaa (2nd hand but brand new) as a pack with all the extra bits etc included. I thought it might be useful. Not if it falls off mind. 🙄 Sounds a bit awkward with avoiding the scar but I can well imagine it's really not comfortable if you don't. I struggle with my smaller ones so I've no idea what that must be like. And my baby is nocturnal now so I don't expect that to change later. 🙈
@Soph0105 sorry to hear the germs spread! And yes the dentists are like that here too. No space on nhs lists. Luckily I'm on one but DH isn't, and any kids are going to be an issue. Ridiculous.
@Minster2012 illness? Noooo. Not you too? Yeah I've no idea why only 1 boob is leaking but then I've always had a weird one. 🤣 Joiner. Have I hell. The one that's through a friend is meant to be doing the banister at least before my due date. But he came to look 3 weeks ago and nothing appears to be happening. I contacted another about the rest and he replied after forever but disappeared again. Honestly over it. 🤬
@Somatromic welcome! Yeah I'm afraid the beginning is a bit crap. For some people it stays crap but I was ok after about 10 weeks really. Still had the odd migraine though. I'm not sure the tiredness goes but it does improve a little. Until you get to the 3rd trimester. None of it is great. 🤣 But we wanted this! 🤭
@larrythelizard if we go away the week after next I have like 2 dresses i can fit in. And some leggings (actually need to check i can still get in those) and tops. That's it. But I dunno if it'll even be warm so buying more seems pointless. 🤷‍♀️ My pants are also getting tight.... 😫 DH passed out? What?!

So, this week i have a 32 week midwife appointment tomorrow. Then my hospital scan Wednesday. I also had a letter today about a health visitor appointment that's apparently at 9am on 4th July. I'm not sure I'm wanting that. Let's hope I can clean the house by then. 🤣

Does anyone have a hospital bag list by the way? I thought I'd noted one down but I can't find it. Need to sort that soon. Or at least make sure I've bought everything!

bez91 · 31/05/2022 07:55

@Lexber Hope the doctor is helpful today and Elsie's problems are easily solved!

@DKDK123 with you on the nursery days. DD there today so will try and grab a nap. Multitasking hits a new level when parenting alone doesn't it 😂

@Minster2012 ahh no good on the sickness are you all a bit iffy? We had to go out yesterday to get new clothes as Z bursting out the newborn stuff, not used to it, DD always a dot

@larrythelizard it's getting easier 3 weeks in, I think no matter how much you try and prepare older sibling it's still a bit of a shock for them. Exciting having a holiday coming up 😊 bit of a bind having to meticulously plan though for clothing. Can you pick any maternity bits up second hand?

Good to see you here @Somatronic the first trimester isn't very fun, sounds like you're having it tough so hopefully GP can help next week

@whatwonder how you getting on?

@paintfairy I wouldn't worry about the HV visit, we were living in one room covered in building dust the first time, the HV was ok about it and got the same one this time round who even commented how the house didn't smell like building dust this time 🙈 they must see a lot lot worse

Still living the PP glamorous life here 'piles and palpitations' with a 3 day migraine which appears to be the theme on here for others too in pregnancy - think it may be lack of sleep related. Still desperate for a caffeinated drink 🤦🏼‍♀️☕️

OP posts:
larrythelizard · 31/05/2022 08:39

I thought you said you passed out @paintfairy - pleased it wasn't literal!

Piles and migraines, super glamorous life @bez91 - are you drinking enough water?

GTT and 28 week bloods today 😬😬😬

OP posts:
larrythelizard · 31/05/2022 08:56

Sorry was called in to drink the gross stuff, now I'm waiting. Forgot my headphones so it's just as well I brought a book!

Exciting @paintfairy 32 weeks is definitely getting on - is she a nice MW and can you ask her about all the contradictory stuff you've been told by the consultant?

I have a MW appt on Sat and was hopeful I could sort my fit to fly note but I looked it up last night and has to be 7 days before I go which is a bit annoying! Might have found someone to borrow some stuff off @bez91 but will also check vinted etc.

In exciting news, my sister is going to make it to the UK this weekend (they were waiting for a passport for the baby) so DS gets to meet his new little cousin. He's pretty obsessed with pictures and videos of her so will be interesting to see what he makes of a real life baby!

OP posts:
paintfairy · 31/05/2022 09:43

@larrythelizard no idea if she's a nice midwife. I've never seen the same person twice. 🙄 Hope the GTT goes well! I'm still miffed we don't get them!
@bez91 I'm slightly worried the HV will think my growling dog is savage. 🙈

I forgot to say I had my first online antenatal nhs class last night. It was alright actually and reassuring - having an understanding of how it all works etc. And the lady was funny. She sold it to me! 🤣 I said to DH - oh its exciting isn't it? He said no, its terrifying. I was like- you haven't even got to do anything? Just turn up! 🤦‍♀️ men. 🙄 My next one is next Monday and we might be away for that, which I'm hoping we can still manage to get onto it! Hate technology.

Minster2012 · 31/05/2022 09:54

I am reading but another migraine here, @larrythelizard I'm sure yours will go away 😝but trying to limit screen time. DH phoned me this morning after I was awake to compare night stories (me B, him X) & he said "well it must be the broken sleep". Well yes, but I've had broken sleep for a month now & only just got migraines!!

Soph0105 · 31/05/2022 10:02

Also reading but still dying 😭 the whole house has come down with it so we're all bundled on the sofa running hot and cold 🙄😂 H and I testing negative for covid so think we might have a dose of old fashioned flu?! Whatever it is, it is disgusting. Haven't felt this bad in years. Ick.

larrythelizard · 31/05/2022 10:29

Oh I've had actual flu once @Soph0105 and it was awful, worse than almost anything I've had. Might it be worth a call to the Dr with DS being so little?

I wouldn't be miffed about not having it @paintfairy the drink is pretty gross!

I reckon hormones playing a part for you @Minster2012 - we know what nasty little fuckers they are!

This morning is on in the waiting room here and there's someone complaining about their assistance cat being kicked out of Sainsburys, no idea why no one else isn't laughing at it, it's so ridiculous!!!

OP posts:
paintfairy · 31/05/2022 10:37

@larrythelizard assistance cat?! What on earth. 🤣

I actually saw the same midwife as last time! She's OK and I did tell her about my worries. I also pointed out I never see the same person and she said they are just so thin on the ground its whoever is there. I'm not sure it went that well mind and now I do worry the growth tomorrow won't be enough. I'm measuring 29 and she said she'd have been referring me for a scan if I didn't already have one. 😫
From poking though the baby is ish in the right place. Head roughly down, spine on my right.

Juno231 · 31/05/2022 10:54

@paintfairy ah fingers crossed everything goes well in the scan tomorrow! Or that at least they are more forthcoming with info on what it means in practice as they clearly scared the crap out of you last time only to tell you to bugger off for 2 weeks which felt like quite conflicting info (is it urgent or not??)

@Minster2012 boo on the migraines - I looked it up and apparently they're common postpartum due to the mess your hormone levels will be in. It could also be due to tension if you're holding baby all the time? Might be worth getting a neck massage in perhaps (easier said than done!)

@Soph0105 oh the flu is so bad! It's literally why I get the flu shot every year - as I got the flu two seasons in a row (2015 and 2016) and it was so horrendous. Hope you all recover swiftly.

@larrythelizard lol the man with the assistance cat is from near me and the Sainsburys that claimed it would be unhygienic is such a rank Sainsbos anyway due to the unsavoury characters that go in there - I guarantee the cat would be cleaner than most of the clientele! I hope you pass the GD test!

@Lexber well done for telling OH what's what and that he actually listened! It's so easy to get defensive and double down in those situations so I'm glad he didnt.

Oh and all the ladies who commented on MIL coming to stay. I'm finding it tricky to shut down - partly because I don't actually know when she's planning on coming? Atm she's mentioned the first weekend in Aug but hasn't actually booked anything. She's also not said where she's planning on staying lol. Any mention of me potentially not feeling in the mood for guests she rebuffs with how she used to be a midwife so she'll be perfect to have around then... Honestly I think I'll just let OH deal with it... I'm definitely the type to want peace and quiet though - I wouldn't fancy my family coming over either!

So my neighbour Mel is actually doing my head in. Since the build started she has genuinely messaged me DAILY with things to complain about. It's too loud, why are they working on a Saturday, they're stepping on my poppies, she saw a scaffolder try and have a wee in my garden etc etc. They made a huge deal about how the scaffolding was set up (think a 6 paragraph email with pics and dates attached) so we ended up having to move it slightly away from their side of the house (we share the semi detached with them). Our roof was taken off on Saturday and the tin roof has been delayed so it rained into the house yesterday evening - which she FREAKED out about and was calling me at 7pm demanding that the builders come back and cover it up. Wtf how am I suppose to sort it that time of the day?? Honestly she makes my blood boil. She even went to the neighbour's house across the road and took a pic from their first floor window as evidence of my roof being uncovered.

Can I just say she's had a loft conversion and kitchen extension done in the past? So she was clearly happy to be a nuisance to her neighbour back then but now it's the end of the world that it's happening to her.... what a hag.

paintfairy · 31/05/2022 11:03

@Juno231 oh god. I see her point in some respects but she also sounds OTT with it all! Got to love neighbours. I hate mine mind, so yeah, I dunno. People!
As for MIL- coming early August is daft if the baby ends up being late? I think I'd tactfully say that maybe it would be best waiting until the baby arrives and then arranging/ booking to come? But yeah get DH to do it. Her being a midwife is irrelevant to having your personal space invaded. Plus that screams 'i will interfere' to me. 🤣

I did say to the midwife today that the first dr scared me to death. Saying early but not specifically how early. And then the consultant almost not seeming that bothered at all. She did seem sorry on their behalf. And said she hasn't ever really see them do it before 35 weeks so she think it unlikely out would be before that. That they will leave it as long as it seems happy.

Juno231 · 31/05/2022 11:11

@paintfairy yes on the interfering part! The extra annoying this is that she hasn't been a midwife since the 90s I think so she'll have the confidence of her info overriding mine but potentially with knowledge that's really outdated by now? I'm kinda hoping that if she comes early and baby comes late she'll just have shot herself in the foot lol! But yes I think any normal person would think a visit in Sep would have been wiser...

I'm glad your midwife echoed that baby will stay in until 35 weeks at the very least!

Lexber · 31/05/2022 11:19

Very quick update as hospital appointment at 1.30 and still I. PJs being tag teamed by the twinkles 🤣🤦🏽‍♀️

Thankfully the Dr was amazing and listened especially when I was open and said if Elsie's issues continue without support then I am on a slippery Sloap towards PND as I won't be able to cope. She agreed and we made a plan! We have a week on gaviscon to see if it is silent refkux, as that should work and be noticeable in a few days. If it doesn't help then next week we change her milk! And treat her as lactulose intolerant.

Last night I decided to try something new and it may have worked... I didn't wake the 2nd twin when one woke for a feed. So instead of waking at 3 then being up with them 2/3hrs as Elsie awake and unsettled I put them down at 12, E was unsettled so I wrapped her like a a burrito and she was asleep by 12.30pm, then Theo woke about 3 and eas back down by 3.30, e woke at 5 and back down by 5.30 then T back up at 7, followed by E at 7.30 so after cuddles and feeds in bed with me and daddy when he went down for getting ready to leave for work we did too. I actually got more sleep that way?!?
Next text to tell me clothes are ready to collect so will grab them in way to hospital if I have time 🤞🏼
Also after a couple of months of nothing on Peanut I've started chatting to some mums with babies same age including a twin mum so hopefully I may get out meeting new mums which will benefit my mental health and hopefully grow my social circle a bit so a much more positive me today thankfully

Love to all and I will try and read/catch up properly when the twinkles let me!! ❤️

Lexber · 31/05/2022 11:21

Forgot to add - I got my first AF yesterday ALREADY?!?

Pp bleed lasted just over 4 weeks, AF started 6 wk 4 days... that may have added to my feels!

2020mission · 31/05/2022 11:44

@Lexber honestly how do you do it with twins just reading that makes me feel stressed. You are doing amazingly especially given Elsie has been difficult. Hopefully the gavison will help her! Sorry to hear about periods being back already. I'm 5 months along and still managed to escape that because of breastfeeding. Although I did bleed for 9 weeks postpartum so it's not been all plain sailing! I'm curious to find out how periods cramps are for me after having given birth actually as they used to be so sore that I couldn't cope without codeine on day 1. Hope your husband has been less grumpy lately too as not having that to deal with will really help.

@Juno231 that's annoying about your neighbour. I'm in a flat and so neighbours work is noisier for me but I still let it go. I understand no one is doing it for fun and it's impossible for no disruption with these things. Did you tell them that work would be getting done in advance? Mines never do but the difference it would have made would be that I could have prepared for the disruption... I'm referring to some work next door that was done during the pandemic for weeks when I was forced to work from home and some of the drilling really made video calls extremely difficult! Had I have known some of the work being carried out on what days I could have worked around it a bit better. If my neighbour had even said "sorry I'll be having work done in my flat for the next fortnight so there may be some noise but it should be complete by around (date estimate), I would have been much happier! For your MIL, she would actually be better waiting until baby arrives before booking a trip over anyway wouldn't she? As no one knows when that will be unless a C section is booked. That way you would also hopefully get a few days to yourselves before she turns up. Can understand it's best to leave to your OH though since it's his mum.

larrythelizard · 31/05/2022 12:06

That's good she gave you some reassurance @paintfairy - will be interesting to see how the scan is tomorrow and how baby is doing, hopefully growth has picked up a bit or at least tracking on the same centile.

That is not fair @Lexber!! AF already?! Sounds a crazy lack of sleep for someone who's forgotten what newborns are like but more sleep is always the answer. As is talking to people, nice to find some other twin mums! Can you browse peanut without committing?

Your neighbour sounds like a nightmare @Juno231 - and if she's had work done herself then you'd think she'd be a little more sympathetic. At least you're not living there so don't have to have her in your face the whole time.

GD test done, will hear in a couple of days, would be very surprised if I had it! Annoyingly only one arm was playing nicely pre and post bloods had to come from the same vein

OP posts:
bez91 · 31/05/2022 12:41

@larrythelizard drinking loads of water, especially at night because when I'm most thirsty. I think it could be hormones like someone suggested for @Minster2012 had a couple of cat naps this morning and it's eased slightly 🤞🏼great news on your sister, that'll be lovely for DS to meet his cousin and may give you insight to the future 😊 must look up this assistance cat!

@Minster2012 we are mirroring each other, had the same lunchtime call from DH on last night stories 😂

@paintfairy that old school measuring though is still only a couple of weeks behind though isn't it? Glad you got some reassurance from MW, I think if baby is still tracking same centile tomorrow they won't be too concerned but regardless we've got you!

@Juno231 oh no the uncertainty of MIL would really put me out, definitely leave it to DH to sort, maybe get him to sort the neighbour too? She seems a nightmare, I'm assuming she knew this was coming and should completely know what to expect if she's done it herself

Anyone have any plans for the long BH weekend? My auntie is coming up for the day Thursday to meet Z but otherwise a quiet one here, DH on call so probably just some local things we can do together

Juno231 · 31/05/2022 13:35

@lexber reading your routine last night I have no idea how you get any sleep in and I'm amazed this was an improvement. Dear lord no wonder you and OH have sniped at each other with this kind of sleep deprivation. I hope the gaviscon works - although I had no idea it existed for babies! Boo for AF :(

@2020mission 9 weeks?? Like heavily or "just" annoying spotting towards the end? That's madness. As for my neighbour (@bez91 this answers you as well) - she's known since we moved in that we were planning on doing works and has been kept abreast of the timeline all along. Still didn't stop her from making snide comments last weekend saying "if she'd known" she would have gone away for half term with the kids. But she knew?! I guess what I hate about her approach is that she's very demanding of us sorting things her way ASAP no matter how crazy the request and is relentless with her barrage of messages, pics and missed calls. Demented.

@bez91 overall a nice quiet BH weekend is no bad thing! We've got errands and cleaning etc to run on Thursday, a Jubilee garden party on Friday with friends staying overnight - plus more friends showing up for lunch on Saturday. I've not been this social for a while so am dreading it a little bit lol.

Got another antenatal class tonight!

@Vil10 can't believe you're in the single digit weeks already - I hadn't thought of it like that so now I'm super excited to hit 39 weeks next Thurs.

@clolo you must be about to pop no??

2020mission · 31/05/2022 13:52

@Juno231 yeah it surprised me that it lasted so long! It wasn't heavy near the end it was just a pant liner I was using every day in the last weeks but enough to be annoying. The postpartum bleeding is annoying if you're someone who prefers a tampon or moon cup rather than pads too as you simply can't due to the infection risks. Your neighbour does sound really annoying as you've mad her aware of the plans and timeline and it's clear you've not done any of it to annoy her. Given you've had to relocate for the works it's obvious this type of thing isn't going to happen often. Definitely don't let her upset you.

@larrythelizard hope your test is clear, I escaped the test in the end as they left it too late and I assured them I checked myself with my husbands blood glucose monitor 😆

Minster2012 · 31/05/2022 17:08

You lot have been chatty!!

@Soph0105 argh bloody lurgy. Mind you, now you have a child AS SOON as they go to nursery be prepared for them to get lurgy constantly. It's a fun game of pass the illness parcel which carries on for years.

@larrythelizard I think it's def hormone related, honestly these hormones can f right off. I saw a thread about that cat, and a follow up one here I was literally loll'ing. 😂

@paintfairy so another scan tomorrow? Honestly I think the measuring is a load of BS. My bump was small but I was never measured & yet baby was big & was tracking for what they actually said when she was born early. So go figure. I think it's all wrong. Midwives aren't so "thin" on the ground here, if you catch my drift (BMI wise I don't know how they can preach @InkyPaper) mind you... I think a lot of ppl buy them chocs to say thank you...so I bucked the trend & bought prosecco for mine as I did tend to have a constant one for the majority. Least now you've got a bit of clarity on the "early"

@Juno231 Mel the bag sounds like a barrel of laughs. Not. I think your replies should read a constant of "oh really? (Insert apology IF you feel the need but I'd not bother if she's had an extension done) I'll see what can be done" then do nothing. If she then pesters more then it's "yes I had a word & unfortunately nothing could be done". Next complaint comes through it's a rinse & repeat. If she gets really shirty you could always say "sorry but I really need to avoid stressing the baby so I will stop replying for the time being unless it's a major problem" (or leave that end bit cos of course, to her, EVERYTHING is a major problem) but to others a builder having a wild wee is not. (You need a portable toilet lady, they must have them down south!). A neck massage you say....sounds dreamy, i had to cancel the massage I had booked cos you know who arrived early 🙄. So your MIL was a midwife? See if that's the case my MIL has a best friend like that & she was constantly saying to me "I can ask her to come over & have a look at you feeding & see if she can help?" And I did actually have to say after the fourth time that "thank you but honestly I was seeing so many ppl at that time, & doing 2 hourly feeds with 2/3 methods (breast, express, bottle, formula) that the additional time I really wanted to rest & my friend is a paed nurse so honestly I had enough help but thank you" cos yeah outdated knowledge n all

MIL did make a lovely comment saying I looked fantastic the other day which was much appreciated

@Lexber Wow that sounds exhausting & I think you are superwoman but if it's working better then that's awesome! I think one at a time sounds infinitely more manageable and I'm so pleased you have a plan for avoiding PND & getting Elsie sorted 🤞🏻wait, what AF??? What the actual fuck???

@2020mission what is it with nightmare neighbours, honestly!! And how much bleeding???

@bez91 I hope you had good news to report in your child call, mine involved more washing after a fair few dry nights 🙄🤦🏼‍♀️one naked child ran out of his room as I was going into the bathroom before a feed!

We've got a hella busy bank holiday weekend. It's making me shudder just thinking about it 😳😩
