oh and btw, absolutely bricking it that I'm now at the top of the list! 😶

Franklydear · 10/05/2022 21:03

Hey ladies, another wonderful news day, I am letting the bus know there’s news to look at but don’t really want to make announcements unless you guys want me to like, what you call the town announcer, in Spain there’s a guy, was in past times and now in traditional celebrations, going around town shouting se have saber.... kinda I am letting people know, whatever is happening

i came home today early as I was having chest pains and a little labouring breathing, but after sleeping all afternoon is past, I guess I am doing too much again, off to the doctors tomorrow, they couldn’t see me today, not deemed urgent enough

pennysays · 10/05/2022 22:42

Ahhh @DKDK123 congratulations!!

bez91 · 11/05/2022 06:06

You have Xmas chocolate left @Minster2012 ? What? I'd have inhaled it by 2022

@BellatrixK glad you're feeling a little better.
The sickness is horrible and can't be escaped, hope it doesn't follow you into the 2nd tri

@whatwonder definitely you need that headspace sometimes away from talk with exactly what you're anxious about, good for you 💪🏼 oooh yes top of the list

@Franklydear that's annoying, hope they can see you today and get something sorted

Settling in at home. First 24 hours were rough as he wouldn't be put down for any period of time. DD is great with him but it has been a bit of an issue as she wants to be with him ALL the time, DH slept in her room last night so it's tough juggling it alone and doing more than I should after the surgery (TMI 3rd degree tear) but I suppose that's the balance with more than 1. Nursery day today so hopefully a little respite

larrythelizard · 11/05/2022 07:34

Yeah I get you @whatwonder and the scroll of doom is the worse. I do it all the time and have no idea why I do it to myself! How long before you finish work?

Also have that problem @BellatrixK and maternity clothes a bit big still but normal clothes are not. Mainly OK as I work from home a lot of time time so no one can see my random outfits.

Ouch @bez91! Nursery day and a bit of normality will be good for DD. Lovely that she loves her little brother so much even though it's not that helpful to you!

Franklydear · 11/05/2022 07:36

@bez91 they assured me they'll see me today, it was really late when I called yesterday and an hour away, they are really short of staff, but in a way is good, I slept all afternoon and then again at night, breathing is normal, for me, again, pain still there but less acute, so the rest will allow for a better diagnosis, I considered going to a+e yesterday but it didn’t seem so dire and I could call the surgery if got worst, I am sure if really needed they’ve found a way to have me seen, the question is going to be do I want time off?
your baby!!! The world is upside down at the moment but you’ll find your way and settle, don’t do too much, I know is hard but dd will have to get her head around it, eventually

feliznavidad2 · 11/05/2022 07:48

Huge congratulations @DKDK123 she's a beauty! Hope you're alright lovely x

larrythelizard · 11/05/2022 07:49

Sorry @Franklydear missed that you're poorly, sounds a bit scary, hopefully they'll get you sorted asap!

OP posts:
feliznavidad2 · 11/05/2022 07:55

Also missed you're poorly @Franklydear hope you're seen today and feel better asap!

Franklydear · 11/05/2022 08:45

@larrythelizard @feliznavidad2 i got a face to face appointment, it’s probably just one of my asthma episodes, potentially an infection, I might just been doing too much, it’s a theme in here, feel a bit better and less worrying, but it needs to be sorted, I’ll update after docs in the morning, still seeing a locum, not my own but those tend to roll their eyes less at me, @Juno231 is a big fan of her bluntness

Soph0105 · 11/05/2022 09:39

I've made it to NI! Yay for family and holidays! But boo to a 2am leaky nappy catastrophe, thanks PTSD 🙄 so just a quick check in but congratulations again to @DKDK123, legs crossed to @2under2in2022 , hope you're feeling better soon @Franklydear and omg don't @larrythelizard apparently you're either a floaty Earth mother or you live in leggings when you're pregnant, they're the only options available to you...

embarrassingbodyagain · 11/05/2022 10:51

Hooray @Soph0105 have a lovely time!

Franklydear · 11/05/2022 12:24

Have a lovely time @Soph0105
@larrythelizard I hate clothes at the best of times, but pregnant pfffffff
Update: I do have a chest infection, doc a bit worried about getting pneumonia so the plan, steroids, extra extra ones, antibiotics, and I need an x-ray again, ordered to rest so sick note it is, until the end of next week, bossboy is thrilled I tell you, he was pulling faces when I left early yesterday but I could hear his eyes rolling on the phone this morning.
The little rant: nurses, specially, always tell me it's not possible to feel your lungs, or for them to hurt, it must be my ribs, well, the crackling can be heard exactly in the spot I say it hurts, I do feel pain in my lungs, why can't they accept that?
The good part: I'll be able to do parents evening tomorrow, woohoo, it's online don't worry, and o have plenty of time to knit and only the blanket to finish when I get more of the right colour, and a phone case, so if anybody wants anything, now is a good time, one of my little shoes pictures got retweeted for the first time
Now, you can carry on with your days, this was long

Franklydear · 11/05/2022 12:27

One more thing, cd 22 af anyday now, why do I always have to have antibiotics and steroids in what would be implantation time, not that any other months anything happens but if it did.... we'll it won't now

InkyPaper · 11/05/2022 17:12

Had my appt with the midwife today, results all good but got the usual array of dire warnings about my weight and how that plus the PCOS means I'm at a high risk for gestational diabetes. Which, fine. I totally understand they have to tell me this stuff and they have a job to do, but I resent being told to eat more fruit and vegetables like they assume I just live off takeaways. I have been struggling with my weight since I was 6, if vegetables could solve all my life problems I would be a size 8 right now (I'm a 14). I shouldn't get annoyed but honestly, every time I see a medical professional they politely tell me I'm fat and should eat more healthily without even asking what my daily diet is. It's so disheartening.

@paintfairy tbh I probably wouldn't have thought to take it down at the time anyway, sounded like a scary experience 😔 hurray for getting a new car though!!

@Vil10 I can't believe you're 28 weeks now! Where is the time going?!

@larrythelizard glad you had a good time in France 😊 did you get your Matb1 in the end?

@Minster2012 look after yourself! ❤️ Glad DH is redeeming himself. Hurray for Bronte's weight gain! It's impressive that person's husband managed to deliver a breech baby - is everyone OK now?!

@Soph0105 hope you have a fab time in NI 😄

@bez91 the first night home sounded rough! How're you doing now??

@Juno231 I know exactly what you mean, I struggle with the same thing 🙈 I love birth stories too, the good, the bad, and the ugly!

@2under2in2022 that sounds like a lot to be dealing with, big hugs

@BellatrixK I'm having the same thing with clothes! Jeans are too tight, maternity jeans are enormous 🙈 there needs to be an in-between option!

@whatwonder anxiety is the worst! Hope it eases up for you

@Franklydear you need to rest and look after yourself ❤️

bez91 · 11/05/2022 18:31

Argggh @Franklydear it's frustrating isn't it. Hope it clears up soon for you! I'm having issues with getting advice on issues and medication following birth, who will advise me; GP, 111 or the ward I was discharged from? Answer so far is GP but they can't see me until tomorrow at 12 🤦🏼‍♀️

I don't think I've actually said on the bus! Congratulations @DKDK123 love all your baby spam. Hope you are recovering well and taking in all those newborn snuggles!

@InkyPaper we are doing ok now, hectic but bit more normality. Good results back from todays app for you. It's hard but try not to let the comments get you down or even harder just like you have below advocate for yourself and tell them there is more to the story!

I will post birth story sometime 😆 the "story" as such isn't over yet. During my spinal block I was put on an ECG and they picked up heart palpitations. No history etc etc and I felt fine, since discharge I can feel them and they are increasing daily, weird flutters, having dizzy spells, feel funny waking up etc. Could be meds but it's making me feel on edge and don't really want to go to a&e 3 days PP with baby logistics etc 🤦🏼‍♀️

Minster2012 · 11/05/2022 21:31

Heyyy checking in,

@bez91 I was told to phone the ward for issues too & I overheard conversations on the phone about meds (the joys of being near the nurses station 🙄) so try that but that sounds very scary i gotta say, if you need to get checked out again then it's best too. And yes I still had Xmas choc left but only cos I found it the other day, it was left over from when I made hampers up. Though X has still got Easter egg left (last bit though) so we try to be good. You need to try to do less, both of us do, listen to each other 🤔

@whatwonder yes you next!! I still find it bizarre that Bronte isn't meant to be here. I was 3rd on the list ffs so you could get overtaken!!

@InkyPaper god that's awful. Bloody ppl, dare I say that often the ppl preaching to you are not tiny either, which riles more. Please try not to let them get you down. The lady who said about the breech car birth said it on the Facebook group very nonchalantly so I guess so!

@2under2in2022 def keep your legs crossed!! And no sex

@Franklydear I had my covid jab at implantation time for my other BFP. Just saying.

@Soph0105 have a great time!

@larrythelizard 6 months!!

Minster2012 · 12/05/2022 02:22

Where's all the spaces gone??? That's annoying

Minster2012 · 12/05/2022 02:39

Talking of maternity wear

uk.news.yahoo.com/rihanna-radical-pregnancy-fashion-victorians-115641304.html

Franklydear · 12/05/2022 05:26

@Minster2012 I am a bit unduly worried, I admit, I don’t really want to ask if I could take them pregnant to not open the can of worms, .... probably af will arrive the next couple of days anyway....I’ve only been home for a day, god help me

i love how Rihanna is opening up the conversation of I will wear what I want pregnant, so what?
plenty of spaces in your post

larrythelizard · 12/05/2022 08:47

It's so disheartening @InkyPaper - and not always as simple as 'eat more vegetables'. Just keep doing what you're doing.

Jeez that does sound scary @bez91 hopefully it's just the meds and will ease off. Hope the GP is useful today, I agree not what you need with tiny baby.

I think Bronte is just like her mummy @Minster2012 and makes things happen when she wants them to happen! Pleased she's putting on weight.

You could have a look at the bumps medication website @Franklydear to see what it says about taking the meds if you're pregnant?

Migrainey here again today, felt OK earlier but should have eaten as soon as I got in from the gym. Just bloody tedious now!!

lucyrp · 12/05/2022 09:37

Hi guys I've finally found you!
Between mumsnet being rubbish and just me generally being rubbish at keeping up I feel like I've not seen any updates in ages!
Hope everyone is okay. I return to work in 6 weeks. Where does the time go!

Franklydear · 12/05/2022 09:45

Thank you @larrythelizard , I will, I mean I have no reason to think I might be pregnant more than any other cycle but lots of time to fill
@lucyrp luuuuucy! Somebody tag you every time, I love seeing your pics, I am only here as a doting aunt, don’t get too excited

Minster2012 · 12/05/2022 13:28

Yeyyyy Bronte has put on more weight, now -7% of birth weight so still got some way to go but we are getting there. They are Very happy otherwise
