Hope you're ok @DKDK123 sorry to hear your feet and hands are swelling lovely, hope tomorrow's assessment goes well.

I've got a birth debrief on Weds, not sure how I'm feeling about it. It's positive that we'll talk about DS' birth but equally feel like lots of old thoughts and anxieties about it are freeing out the woodwork. Also got obstetrician appointment a week on Friday for 32 week one, going to talk to her again then, just scared of haemorrhaging again if I'm honest.

Also v hormonal, cried earlier over something ridiculous 😂 I typed it out to tell yoga friends and then felt like an absolute mentalist when I read it back.

Thank you for the cheering up ladies, trying to get a better plan for tomorrow, I just finish a blue baby dress and need to come up with a matching cardi, only have the minecraft blanket to finish so open to new projects if anybody wants anything in particular, I am considering putting a stall in an event in July so maybe a few more things would be an idea

@kaylsd I love that you got period treats for the pooch, females of all kind need to look out for each other. Does it finally feel proper real now that you've popped?

@bez91 feel free to skip the queue I'm happy to keep her in as long as poss so you get those feet down, legs open and lots of sex in to hurry things along for you 😂 Very impressed you managed bowling at this late stage!

@Minster2012 good to here she was starting to latch yesterday, hopefully she's starting to get the hang of things now. Has it sunk in yet that it's all real and your precious little girl is actually here to stay? Have they said when you might get home, bet X is so excited to meet her 🥰

@paintfairy glad you went and got your finger seen to properly with proper stitches, never think you're wasting their time, especially when pregnant you can't be too careful about getting infections etc . Hope it's not feeling too painful today.

@feliznavidad2 bringing up past bad experiences in pregnancy is hard but hopefully after you've spoken it through with the midwife she'll be able to ease your worries a bit for this time round. I hated hearing about how bad DSs birth was as actually I was quite oblivious to a lot of it until they told me this time round. But then the consultant was able to talk through all the plans and back up plans they had in place for similar things happening this time round which was reasurring.

Well I had a great appointment today I couldn't have asked for it to have gone better. She couldn't find any fluid around baby's heart today and it was beating far more regularly so she may not even need any support with her heart after birth 😁 And the blood flow through the placenta had also improved since last week too. She's no idea why things have suddenly improved but I said don't question it just accept it 😂 So all extremely positive and so long as I rest at home and do as little as poss we are still on track for keeping her in until next Tuesday 😁 Got my first steroid injection today, getting the second when I'm there tomorrow but after that one I'll feel much better knowing that her lungs will also have had a helping hand so if they're good and her hearts good and shes staying in until next week then we may even manage to escape a NICU stay 🥳 Amazing what a difference a week can make in turning things round for the best, here's hoping it continues 😁

Best news @DKDK123 - Emily defying the odds once again!! I reckon she'll end up as prime minister or the first woman on Mars or something the way she's going!!

I wish all weekends were three days, no particular plans for the first time in ages so we're just pleasing ourselves, been for a little walk and now waiting for pizza by the lake 👌🏻

@Franklydear it would be lovely for a stall, the blanket is just so beautiful they are great, little bonnet hats with Pom poms seem to do well & liked, and the cardis of course. A lot of ppl like crochet headbands with bows on for girls do you know what I mean? Or more subtle ones with a twist I think are nicer than bows but that's just my taste, Different colours of those are good, mittens for winter to match bonnets? /hats?

@feliznavidad2 no Korean coils 😂we could start a whole new industry! The birth debrief I think should be good & think it will then get you in the mindset for this one 🤞🏻

It has sunk in now, I had a shitty nights sleep last night literally got an hour as she wouldn't settle in the crib only on me & so I had to stay awake, she had a temp so waited for the doctor then feeding takes forever (but she's latching so we are progressing) so I then literally got an hour before someone got put in the bed next to me at 5am & was being soooo whingey & buzzing for everything then I'm next to the nurses station so they were cackling from 5.30 am

I'm showered dressed & ready to go, DH reading paper as little squeaker sleeps before next feed, the midwife just said "yeah we'll get lunch out of the way then we'll talk about home"

Talk???? There's a big brother to meet! She has eyes everyone we barely ever see them!

@paintfairy oh no! That looks so so painful. Are you okay? Definitely worth going in for, you want to prevent infection or aggravating it.

@Franklydear the blanket is gorgeous, and the perfect thing for a rainbow baby! I second @Minster2012 ’s vote for knitted headbands, I think they’re really cute.

@Minster2012 the photos are beautiful, thank you for sharing them. I agree with others… love how the birth story began! How is her foot? And the feeding going? She’s doing so well latching on now. I bet you’re pleased to stop hand expressing. Eeee! Bet X is so excited too meet her!

@feliznavidad2 I think it’s very natural for anxieties and worries at this stage, even without the past memories. Just keep talking to your Midwives and friends and us. Make sure that you’re happy with their plans.

@kaylsd I love the retreat for Mable… Bella hasn’t had her first season yet, but I will 100% do the same. Pups need love and care! Loving the bump picture, it looks gorgeous and very real.

@DKDK123 I’m absolutely overjoyed with your news! How amazing is that! Especially about her heart improving so much and maybe avoiding NICU, or at least a shorter stay.

@larrythelizard I’m another vote I’m favour of a as permanent 3 day weekend. Just feels so much more relaxed.

Not much going on here, having a chilled day. My mum and grandparents are coming over for tea, got a few errands to run but I’m currently waiting for a garden landscaper to come and give us a quotation for composite decking. He’s only 1 hour late…

Aww @Minster2012 glad you are getting her to latch now and oh man I don't miss the long feeds in the early days! I wish someone told me at the time that they do speed up and are less frequent as the weeks/months go by. And the pain eases! It gets better (or did for me at least 😅). I was sitting in hope every day that I was getting discharged they really kept me hanging. Some tears on day 5 helped get things moving to get me out 😂 I wasn't going to sit in their on Hogmanay unnecessarily! Can your husband bring X in to visit in the slim chance you don't get discharged today? The woman next to me definitely had her little boy come and visit his sister when I was in hospital in December. Fingers crossed you just get out today though!

@feliznavidad2 hopefully the debrief will provide you with some answers, I don't understand why all your notes seem to disappear after giving birth because sometimes they might be bloody useful if you struggle to get your head around it. I'm also quite hormonal, cried at Pocahontas earlier when John Smith got shot 😂

Fantastic news on the appointment @DKDK123 I got told at one of my appointments that blood flow through the placenta can sometimes just be down to positioning so hopefully that's the end of that 🤞🏼all sounds very positive for Emily's arrival, is the section booked for next Tuesday 10th?

@larrythelizard sounds a perfect weekend, we've done much of the same. MIL wanted to visit (not a fan at the best of times) but DH said no as may be the last day we have as a 3 so wanted to spend time together which has been lovely 🥰

Ate too many sweets this afternoon and now I feel somewhat 🤢 - silly silly me!

Hi ladies! I came back from my holiday yesterday but have been absolutely knackered from the trip back - it took 26h door to door 😅. It was so amazing though and I've been pretty active throughout - I even weighed myself to see what the damage was (I've eaten so much American pie and pancakes...) But I've not gained even my standard pound/week that I have been putting on all of the second trimester!

Popped a couple of pics up to show the variety of landscapes we got to see - as well as an updated bump (+boob!) pic :)

@Minster2012 congratulations again for your beautiful baby girl - I still can't quite believe she came 3 weeks early 😱. Had you even finished packing your hospital bags?? I'm thrilled to hear she's latching and that her foot will be fine ❤️. Love the name btw - is it Brontë or Bronte? The lady who runs the Scandinavian shop in London is also called Brontë so I have good associations with the name 😅

@Minster2012 hope you managed to get discharged in the end last night, while shitty night sleep are normal with newborns but I'm sure it feels magnified in a hospital rather than from the comfort of your own home (where its only DH you want to murder for snoring away peacefully in his sleep while you're awake, instead of other patients and nurses!).
Can't wait to hear DSs reaction at getting to finally meet his baby sister 💕

@InkyPaper I'd definitely be taking the cats lead, it's telling you that when you're pregnant it's ok to say some days it's all about you the cleaning can wait you've just to rest up today, after all your body is literally working 24/7 to grow a tiny human inside it, if that doesn't deserve a day of rest I dunno what will!

@Franklydear yesterday sounds like a far more fun day for you 😊 A stall at a children's event sounds exciting. I know you mainly knit/croquet but if you can make the material headbows, springy bobbles and bands in the different nearby school colours they'll probably go down a treat for people stocking up for after the summer. I can't remember off the top of my head how to make them but a quick Google would do it, I used to make them for my niece all the time when she was younger and from what I remember they're not difficult to make at all.

@bez91 yip all booked in for a week today 🥳 The blood flow through the cord was slowly getting worse the past few scans, they jiggled her about to see if it was the positioning but didn't seem to be however maybe it was as she's definitely dropped even lower head right down to I'm wanting to come out now stage so maybe it was positioning afterall. And maybe if she wasn't getting enough blood flow that's what was making her heart go wonky 🤔 I think if we still had a while to go they'd have taken her out by now but as we're so close to the planned finish and despite it all she's still been very feisty whereas they said given the circumstances theyd be expecting to see her be less active and showing signs of distress so they were happy to keep waiting and see and monitoring her, I'm glad they did and didnt just take her out! The consultant didn't say why its gotten better she just seemed really surprised at the all of a sudden improvement to things.

One week today and I get to meet my girl 🥰🥰🥰🥰 I wasn't going to tell DS the exact date but he over heard us talking about it so now he's on the daily countdown and reminding us every 2mins. I did break the news to him that that's the day she'll be born but he won't be able to see her that day as she'll still be in hospital and it's only the nurses and doctors, mummy's and daddy's that are allowed in

@DKDK123 ill have a look, school colours a good shout, I mainly sew when I have too, but lately that’s quite often, bestieboy has discovered that I can mend his clothes rather than throw away for minor fault; a week, eeek! I suddenly felt a bit panicky, but you got this, all in good hands, I like ds plan, I would do the same

@kaylsd I think the nesting has been and gone, I want to do things but have no energy. DH has been nesting this weekend though unintentionally 😆 must be a strange feeling last one in uniform, does that mean you have to find alternative clothing that fits for office work? The last few weeks I've hated going into the office and just thought sod it and wore jeans 🙈

Got the letter from the hospital with the results of our testing: apparently our chance of our baby having Down's, Edward's or Pattau's is low across the board. One in 10670 for Down's and one in 100000 for the other two, which was reassuring. My hip has been killing me these last couple of days though, made it hard to sleep last night so God knows what I've done to it 😩
