@DKDK123 you're smashing that liquid gold harvesting!!! I love the stories about your DS!

Love the update @Lexber sounds like they've settled in really well. Long May they remain chilled!

FUCKING HELL @Minster2012 you absolute superhero - 10cm with no decent pain relief?! Literally in awe!!!! I feel like sex sending you into labour is fitting 🤣. I've also heard that snuggling newborns can trigger hormones in ladies waiting to go into labour - so maybe you can thank your friend and her tiny baby!

Love the name @Minster2012 and how it's so meaningful to you and she's such a good weight! Is X coming up to meet her or does he have to wait until you're home?

Yep @Vil10 I was so desperate to give birth so DH could also help decide if there was something wrong with the baby. Feels a lot that it was all on me.

DKDK123 · 01/05/2022 09:39

@Lexber they are coming on a treat, so cute 😍 Sounds like you guys have an amazing routine going already, I'm well impressed. I did always wonder if twins wake each other up crying and how on earth the parents get round the perpetual awake cycle if they do, but so glad to hear that yours don't! 😁

@Minster2012 firstly I'm well impressed you were still DTD this late on, at least you got one last shag in before you need to heal for a while 😂
A bit shitty they were going to send you home despite contractions tho, so they were happy to leave you in pain contracting for 2 weeks 😡 Glad baby got here safely in the end tho, albeit with her dramatic entrance to the world! Try not to worry too much about the feeding, she'll be just as much shell shocked as you guys right now! I wonder if her sugar levels means you had undiagnosed GD it could explain the big baby too but as your bump was so neat (where on earth where you hiding her!? 🤔) they didn't think to test you. Hopefully she's a bit more ready to play ball today and latching on like a pro by tonight. You've both done amazingly tho for something so unexpected! And what a lovely name 🥰 Does X know his sister is here yet?

@paintfairy hope the car shopping is successful today 🤞

@becarefuloutthere how spooky that your sister had hers yesterday too! Clearly some babies just wanted an April birthday 😂 Hope your sister and little one are doing well too.

@Vil10 the delays in getting into your house must be so frustrating. But once you're there think of the fun you'll have getting that little nursery all sorted with the bits and bobs you've got 😊 Sounds like you've got a busy time ahead, the worrying is 100% part and parcel of motherhood and unfortunately doesn't stop once baby's born, that's you for life worrying about them, but there are worse curses to be delt 😂

My hands and feet have ballooned massively overnight which doesn't bode well for pre-e ramping up. DH is convinced they're not letting me out after tomorrow's assessment but I'm still optimisticly holding out for being home till the 10th 🤞 I do however have 4 appointments scheduled for next week so need to dodge being kept in at each one! Final stretch now, hoping she's not planning on making an early escape like little Bronte as I'll be 37 weeks on Thursday so you've got me nervous now @Minster2012 🙈 Feet up, no sex and legs are tightly closed for the next week 😂

InkyPaper · 01/05/2022 09:46

@Minster2012 I can't believe you managed to get to 7cm just on paracetamol!! Sounds like Brontë (love her name!) Had a bit of a dramatic entrance into the world but keeping everything crossed that her blood sugar issues stabilise soon. Biggest of hugs and huge congratulations again ❤️

@DKDK123 well done with the colostrum!! I'm going to be asking you for tips nearer the time 😄 keeping my fingers crossed for you too that you can avoid being kept in until it's time 🤞🏻

@Vil10 that's really frustrating about the house, hope it all gets sorted for you soon

@Lexber your twins are so cute!! Glad you're all settled into a routine now

larrythelizard · 01/05/2022 09:53

@DKDK123 please keep an eye on it and seek advice today if need be 🙏 - final stretch now so just stay safe!

We have no fixed plans for the next couple of days for the first time since March so it's really nice! Do need to go and wash up from last night though (had some friends over for dinner last night).

I am worried I've got old without noticing today, it's raining here for the first one in weeks and weeks and I uttered the phrase 'the garden needs it though'...send help!!

@Minster2012 she’s perfect! Absolutely beautiful. The birth story seems unbelievably frantic, but she’s here and well now. I love her names: so pretty and unusual. I was obsessed with the Bronte sisters and books when I was younger and go to Howarth for walks etc with my mum and sister. It’s such a personal connection for you and for X too. I also love the alliteration!

@Vil10 god, solicitors are the worst! They slowed our move down for 5 weeks after we had a moving date last year. Just keep focusing on buying your lovely nursery things- you’ll be able to set it up soon.

@paintfairy good luck car shopping!

@larrythelizard I’m think I’ll be like you- or try to! Chilled parent all the way!

@DKDK123 amazing! Or should I say, Daisy, amazing! I LOVE DS’s reaction! Why can’t he milk you like the robotic cow? 😂😂 it’s adorable how defensive he already is off his little sister.

@becarefuloutthere congratulations to your sister too! These babies did not want to wait until May!

On the vasectomy chat, I definitely want 2 children. DH has said let’s see how everything goes, but I think I’d everything goes well this time, we’ll wait until he/she is 18 months then try again. Me and my brother were really close in age and we loved playing together. I’m the same as @Vil10 my family house was always the one that everyone came to (so was DH’s) and I love a full house with all the chaos and noise - not all day everyday, but often!

Franklydear · 01/05/2022 10:13

Oh what a fabulous name @Minster2012 and what a lovely connection for the siblings, your labour sounds a lot like mine, all is well when it ends well
@Vil10 wonder where you went, gotta hate solicitors, just a little longer
wheres @juno231 I wonder if she cannot log in either

nothing much to report, we have change from dtd, to just shagging really whenever, but looking back, only cos the app ask to do a breast exam, it looks like we are doing most of what’s supposed to be fw, so, maybe I need some of your hope @Minster2012

Minster2012 · 01/05/2022 10:13

@larrythelizard by the time I'd been examined (that was only cos I was saying "Jesus I really need to poo & i can't") ABD 7cm I was saying oh god I can't push on my scars I'm so scared I NEED AN EPIDURAL but they thought that might make me push harder & damage myself so only had it in theatre by which time was fully dilated! I think seeing my friends baby helped! (Though DH squashed my tummy in sex so yeah that's why we were like errrrr that's an OCEAN of stuff it can't be sperm but he was like "it's been nearly 2 weeks!) only birthing partner allowed in with me here on ward too so no X not met yet but I've FaceTimed him & he's asking how baby Bronte is & mummy is! And he said yesterday "mummy has FINALLY had my baby for me" 😂

@DKDK123 not home contracting for 2 weeks they thought the contractions would ramp up over the coming days so then go in for section at that point after 37 weeks but then my waters broke & it all went mental! You keep her there til 10th!

@Vil10 I said Conveyancing solicitors are shit. But you'll make it all work 🥰& 4 wow god that's a lot of babies!

@paintfairy a section cos I've got lots of internal scarring in my bowels (had all large bowels removed) so I'm not meant to push to poo let alone a baby the words "you could tear internally & have to have your actual anus stitched shut" came up 😳😬rrr no thanks. Hey I got to fully dilated on gas & air, do nahhh doesn't hurt! Get a car!

@becarefuloutthere so she couldn't wait either that's so nice!!

More pics on Insta. MN very temperamental with me adding pics

BellatrixK · 01/05/2022 10:14

I swear, half of my reply has just disappeared?

@Lexber your twins are adorable! There’s something extra special about seeing baby twins together, isn’t there? I was wondering if they would get one another excited, or wake one another up- you’ve done an exceptional job getting them into such a good routine already!

@DKDK123 look after yourself a lot today! And definitely let the hospital know if you need to, you need extra care at the end… although I know you really won’t want to go in until as late as possible. It’s less than 2 weeks now until the 10th!

@larrythelizard 😂 I said the same about the garden!

Franklydear · 01/05/2022 10:20

This might be incredibly shellfish, self-centred and insensitive of me, but I am going to say it anyway, it made my heart jump to see the rainbow blanket on the pics.

2020mission · 01/05/2022 10:33

@Minster2012 I very much remember that feeling of needing a 💩 with labour pressure and I'm impressed you were able to hold back 😅 I couldn't stop pushing when that feeling came! So so glad she's here safely. We've definitely all been rooting for you here more than anyone 🌈 it's quite a shock when a first labour progresses so rapidly! I was really expecting it to take days too. Hope you get home soon.

whatwonder · 01/05/2022 10:39

OHEMGEEEE CONGRATS @Minster2012 🎉🎉🎉 she's here!! Welcome baby Bronte! Adore the name, and the pic, what a gorgeous girl you have. So happy for you and hope you are enjoying all the newborn snuggles!

Will do a longer post later, wrote out a big reply and MN didn't post it 😑

Lexber · 01/05/2022 10:40

Franklydear · 01/05/2022 10:20

This might be incredibly shellfish, self-centred and insensitive of me, but I am going to say it anyway, it made my heart jump to see the rainbow blanket on the pics.

Did you knit it?
I saw it and thought how beautifully fitting xx

Soph0105 · 01/05/2022 10:54

Holy shit @Minster2012 congratulations ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

She's absolutely gorgeous and what an amazing story! Rest up and enjoy those snuggles 🥰

kaylsd · 01/05/2022 11:01

@bez91 managed to smash through the chores, got a issue that our mable has broke down now so having to daily mop bless her.. tried her with the pants and they are just a big no no she pisses in them so it’s actually like a nappy 🤣🤣🤣🙈
@larrythelizard I was steering towards elective too after I heard about the placenta but we shall see 🙈 I also feel old before my time today, I was upset that it’s rained overnight and DH was meant to cut the grass 🥺🤣
@inkypaper I was complaining this morning to DH about weight gain saying I’ve got no self control and he could hear me rustling a packet on phone he goes what are you doing I was like opening a packet of cookies 🤣🤣🤣🤣😘
@dkdk123 maybe Emily daisy for a middle name? 🤣🤣🤣 go you though mama with your boobies getting all ready for her! Keep a eye on your swelling hopefully you can keep Emily cooking until her expected arrival 🙈
@lexber look at how gorgeous the twins are 🥹❤️ sounds like you’ve got the hang of it darling with the feeding routine! They are adorable
@minster2012 absolutely amazing story! I cannot believe you managed to get to 7cm on paracetamol I know we give it out like it’s the cure of a wonder drug but wow girl you are amazing!!! I’m gonna start watching the Yorkshire midwives it sounds like I’m missing out but Brontë is absolutely gorgeous and such a fitting story for your rainbow baby who has finally arrived! Rest up the best you can sweet and look after yourself, I hope you have a speedy recovery! 🥺❤️
@vil10 ah what a stress for you with the house I hope it can get magically sorted before you guys go on your baby moon holiday :(! Solicitors are the worst people to try and communicate with and it tends to be the other party what are the pain in the bums! I think as for the worry front about little bubs it’s completely natural to feel the way that you do we have all been guilty of those thoughts for sure, I don’t think we will ever stop until they are here and then it’ll be another set of worries no doubt! MN has been a pain in the arse logging in I don’t see all the posts now so it’s harder to check in 🥹

25 weeks today and todays the first day I actually feel like I’ve popped out 🥺 going to go shopping to pass the time whilst DH is at work 🥰 going to pick up some pooch treats as a period pick me up since our mable has broken down yesterday and I can imagine she might want to comfort treat for that 🤣🙈happy Sunday ladies looking forward to my roast later 😋

bez91 · 01/05/2022 13:26

Have loved reading your birth story @Minster2012 and the photos 😭 so so pleased for you all 🥰 that all seems to have happened so quickly

@DKDK123 this sounds like a similar conversation I had with DD this morning as I was trying to collect whilst we watched a film. It resulted in DD shouting "come on boobies that's not a lot" 😂 Daisy is actually the name she wants for a little sister, we've not told her no but she will be disappointed 🙈
Not great the feet and hands ballooning. 4 appointments in the next week wow - so much for chilling out on your mat leave eh. I think I'll opt for the opposite; feet not up, sex like @Minster2012 and legs wide apart as 38 weeks now and want out 😂

They're gorgeous @Lexber glad you all seem to be settling into a routine which I'm sure is much more needed with double the work. It must comfort them so much being near one another

@Vil10 very annoying on the house, hopefully regardless it won't take it away from you having a chilled break before getting stuck in when you're home!

@kaylsd a period pick me up for the dog 😂 love it! Girls day in = comfort eating on the menu for you both

We went bowling this morning 🙈, DD has never been before. I even managed a couple of flukey strikes. About 5 women said god you're doing well how far gone are you 😆 I just about managed, hoping all the movement brings something on later 🤞🏼

Franklydear · 01/05/2022 15:42

@Lexber yes, it’s a crochet one
horrible day today, went shopping, toy shop was closed, couldn’t find anything suitable, Amazon parcel said delivered when we weren’t in, but not in the safe place so now to wait 24 h to claim, just waiting for the washing machine to explode or something

Franklydear · 01/05/2022 15:55

Oh and dh is getting stressed setting up new phones for both of us, who knows what was wrong with mine, it is huge don’t know where I’ll put it, it is at least an inch longer than the old one, not that old btw

Franklydear · 01/05/2022 15:58

And I said set one up completely first and then the other, well, there he is trying to figure out which one is which, I am going to get some ice cream

Franklydear · 01/05/2022 16:44

Sooo pissed off, apparently is a lot of we are going to set up our own phones, I fucking hate that, I don’t do well with technology and it’ll take me ages and had so much to do today, which obviously will be added to tomorrow’s list now

paintfairy · 01/05/2022 17:49

@kaylsd I love winnie the pooh also but I can't find any wallpaper i like. Or I might have done the nursery in it. I love some of the murals but I'm not sure the wall is big enough and some are really expensive!
@bez91 thinking about it, it might not be small at all. The legs aren't. And DH and I both have really small heads. 🤭 So maybe the baby just doesn't have a huge head and isn't small at all?! Still, that's still good in my mind. Small head yes please. 🤣
@inkypaper the yellow one looks miles to walk so I have never attempted that one. I dreamt we met up IRL last night. Randomly. 🤣
@DKDK123 flipping heck. Being milked?! What? 🤣 Not good about the balloon feet either.
@becarefuloutthere wow on your sister too. This is worrying me now! 🙈
@Vil10 I don't think I've ever known anyone have a useful solicitor yet. Complete ball ache!
@Minster2012 yes that makes sense. Which is why I was surprised they didn't bloody get their arse in gear? Honestly!

Franklydear · 01/05/2022 18:25

Forgot to mention, Spanish, or rather catholic, Mother’s Day today, so have extra chocolate/ drinks today ladies
i might open the Albariño fizzy today, see if we can make up over it

Minster2012 · 01/05/2022 18:41

Legs wide open for May Labour ladies that's the idea 😂

Thank you so much everyone I'm overwhelmed with the love 💕
We are so happy, she's trying to latch on a bit now so maybe getting somewhere with the feeding as the hand expressing is hard work, DH helped me when here, I was squeezing & he was on chief syringe hoover, there's a loving relationship right there 🤗told you he'd been trying to milk me for a while 😳

@DKDK123 @bez91 daisy for the win!! Bowling??? Really??? God you think I did too much!

@kaylsd you have popped out! So cute! As is a period pamper party for the dog

@2020mission you should've heard me 😂"are you sure you shouldn't check me out cos I'm REALLY wanting to poo & i can't sooooooo💩 "

@Franklydear ive had so many compliments on the blanket it's so gorgeous 💕🥰perfect for her. You have all my hope darling 😊

@paintfairy you mall be fine, if I can do it thinking shit I'm gonna tear myself you can 😘did you get a car??? You can get wine the Pooh wall decals which are cheaper than a mural or just paint neutral & put bits in pictures on the walls which is also lovely. My mum got me a Winnie the Pooh baby grow for the baby from her local charity shop & it's gorgeous but it's too small 😂

I'm getting so much love on the name on both sides of the family which is amazing and also her turned out foot, which was totally a right angle facing outwards is not fused or anything it's totally mobile so it's already moving a bit around to stretch out so we need to manipulate it a bit and continue to encourage it to straighten & it should be fine so that's good 😊

paintfairy · 01/05/2022 18:51

I'll try my own update now. MN keeps being ridiculous and my battery was also dying. 🙄
Car shopping wasn't that successful and I'm over it now. More tomorrow. I've decided maybe we should just walk. 🤬
Horse incident lead to very unhappy finger yesterday. Blood shot everywhere, I was on my own, trying to find something to wrap it up with. 🤦‍♀️ But I did what I had to do and came home to rinse it under the tap (no running water down there) and then just sprayed some of the dogs leucillin spray at it. 🤣 Not ideal. Especially when you can't go to a&e unless you want to be there a whole day and night. I think I might have just hoped for the best in that case. But we also have a walk in centre which was more reasonable (still over 3 hours mind). So off i went at tea time. You have to register and then wait in your car. The man was actually ok for once and we had a good chat, he showed me photos of his dog. 🤣 He agreed the nhs has gone to shit but also people are wasting time. I felt bad going with a cut finger, but he said it is quite nasty to be fair. Ok, I suppose i felt a little better about going. He said a few steri strips and some glue should sort it. He then got some stuff to try to rinse it out and had to lift the flap to do so. 🤢 I didn't look. Then he said it was deeper than he thought so we'd have to properly stitch it. Pleased i definitely want wasting time but annoyed it even happened in the first place. Thankfully he did use local anaesthetic first. Felt fine until that wore off and it was bloody killing during the night. He gave me some dressings and said don't tell anyone. Also antibiotics to take if I should need to (he had to trawl through to see which ones I was allowed, he also double checked with a colleague). Asked about tetanus but thankfully that's in the whooping cough vaccine so I'm covered as luck would have it! Every cloud. 😆 Dinner went out the window so it was burger king at nearly 9pm for us! DH was thrilled. Baby was starving and likely malnourished from the crap I keep eating. 🙄

Let's see if I can add a photo.....

larrythelizard · 01/05/2022 19:39

Aww hadn't realised the blanket was your handy work @Franklydear - hope tomorrow is a better day for you!

Yay for a proper bump @kaylsd

Ooh great shout for bringing on labour @bez91!! Hope it works! I am not engaging with DS about what we should name the baby. He is a bit younger though so the concept of choosing a name is a bit mind blowing to him, he can't even name his teddies...!

Ouch @paintfairy that looks bloody sore and sounds like you did the right thing going and getting it looked at. Car shopping is just boring, they're necessary but I can't ever get that excited about it!

@Minster2012 your love bubble sounds amazing. Who knew your DH would get his wish fulfilled to milk you?! Pleased about her foot, even if it was fused I know she'd be fine, she has a warrior for a mummy!!

OP posts:
InkyPaper · 01/05/2022 20:57

@Franklydear sorry you've had such a crappy day, hope it's improved a bit now

@paintfairy haha was it a fun meetup in your dream? I used to park in yellow all the time when I had appointments at the maternity building (not TTC related, the clinic I was visiting just got moved into the maternity building) took about 20 mins to walk over. Your finger looks super painful!! Glad you were able to get seen at the walk-in

@Minster2012 glad her foot is going to be fine! Here's hoping she continues to improve her latch and DH won't need to continue milking you anymore!
