21+3 here and not got much of a bump yet. Tbh this was bigger than I was last time! My daughter was born 5lb 3oz 2nd centile so il be very surprised if she is massive this time 😂

ALYGirl · 16/05/2022 13:47

We bought our travel system at the weekend. We've gone for the Silvercross Pioneer❤

Sweetbabydust1989 · 16/05/2022 14:35

kitkat2022 · 16/05/2022 15:27

@MummyToBe2022, I bought an Ocarro bundle last night for an amazing price from Pramworld. Here's the link in case you're interested :)

Great catch up, loving seeing what everyone is buying. I've bought a mix of up to one month and 0-3 at the moment. First baby so no idea on what weight it will be! Feel like my bump has certainly popped out now at week 23. I work in a secondary school and the kids still haven't asked me - I've heard a few whispering but maybe they're too scared to ask in case I say 'no I've just put some weight on' haha. In terms of prams, we've ordered a bugaboo fox from a shop who does refurbished prams, and my friend has given us a tutti bambini next to me which is great. Thinking of starting the nursery at the end of June, so will buy nursery furniture June/July.

annlee3817 · 16/05/2022 18:07

Lovely bumps ladies!

Celyn22 · 16/05/2022 19:06

Aww loving all the bump pics! Here is mine from this morning whilst catching raindrops! 24+5 today with our first.

Thank you all for your comments on what you are buying/thinking of. I've no experience with buggies but after some long chats with my mum, I think we need two! One off-road one for using around home - which has bumpy and rough terrain in places, and one 'clean' one for out and about. I think we'll get the following for our and about https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08ZBQ7STT/ref=cmswwrothhapiii_96XRFYBM9JY7WZ8VSK42?psc=1&th=1 and I'm patiently waiting for an off road one on eBay hoping no one else bids and it stays cheap!

Sending you all lots of love and foot rubs x

MummyToBe2022 · 16/05/2022 20:04

@kitkat2022 thank you. I love the ocarro.

I'm getting very uncomfortable at work. I'm a TA in year 1 and leaning over the low tables isn't doing me any good.
The children are all looking after me though.

Every time I lean forward I can feel baby kick as if to say "mummy you're squashing me!"

Butterflytulip · 16/05/2022 20:41

The car seats with the base are great. You can click in and out from car. No need to faff around with seat belt. Ours was maxi cosi pebble.

Also you can buy additional attachments for the pram so you can click out the car seat and attach to pram frame (if baby is asleep you don't have to wake them and transfer them to main pram bassinet). Great for popping to shops (only recommended max 1 hr in a car seat).

When our little one was 1 year old we got the joie 360 which spins.

stimpyyouidiot · 16/05/2022 20:56

Dds got a sick bug from school. Excellent. And h has gone off to work for a few days 🙈 it'll be me next. Not good.

TurquoiseDreamCatcher · 16/05/2022 21:44

Is anyone else ridiculously uncomfortable? I'm 22 weeks now and now matter how I sit or lie down I am so uncomfortable. My legs are so restless. I don't remember being like this with DD. Is anyone else like this or have any tips to overcome it?

Sweetbabydust1989 · 16/05/2022 21:46

@TurquoiseDreamCatcher iam the same mostly in bed I found making sure I drink plenty of water helps I have found my little lady likes to move loads in the evenings I think I have ligament pains as they seem very low down and stabby they're quick and sharp xx

TurquoiseDreamCatcher · 16/05/2022 21:52

Thank you for replying @Sweetbabydust1989. I've just read that chocolate can make it worse! Looks like I'll have to stop scoffing. I honestly would like to chop my legs off at the moment.

Sweetbabydust1989 · 16/05/2022 21:53

Anyone else experiencing the joys of round ligament pains 😩 I can feel my lady moving around so much and then bam stabby pain really low down xx

Sweetbabydust1989 · 16/05/2022 21:56

@TurquoiseDreamCatcher I don't eat chocolate anymore it's seems to make my pregnancy reflux worse so I eat more fruit now like loads and drink more water more than 2L a day this little lady has changed my diet completely she hardly likes anything other than that it's a boring diet now but had to cut so much out but much more healthy xx

madeleine85 · 16/05/2022 22:54

@stimpyyouidiot hope you escape the germs! When mine was sick 2 weeks ago, she coughed into my mouth, and I knew (correctly) that I was a lost cause!😷

@TurquoiseDreamCatcher I go between feeling 100% normal, vs sciatica, heartburn, or just feeling so uncomfortable even sitting in the car driving to a meeting is misery. 25 weeks tomorrow. If 37 weeks is the safe spot then I count 12 weeks till this one gets his eviction notice and I start squatting all day until he is out :). I am meant to have a trip to see my in laws at 36 weeks to a place a 2 hour drive from me which is known for being incredibly hot, and I am considering sending DH and DD without me just as I know that I won't want to be stuck in a car for 2 hours each way, being sociable with all my in laws and their children for 5 days, and sitting poolside while feeling like a whale (all while panic working to get things wrapped up for mat leave). Feel kind of like a d*ck for skipping the extended family trip to celebrate my FIL's retirement, but my hermit self thinks that it would be an utterly heavenly baby moon to be at home by myself for 5 days with the dog, and i'm not going to want to go anywhere if I've even made it to that stage of pregnancy without another premie.

stimpyyouidiot · 16/05/2022 22:59

It doesn't sound promising @madeleine85 It's been going round school and several families have had it. I messaged the class group just to warn them and loads came back with 'oh we had that and everyone got it!' Someone even said to get pull ups for dd. I was like Jesus! Are we going to be that ill? I've got no backup and I desperately don't want to have a really bad sick bug!

madeleine85 · 16/05/2022 23:07

@stimpyyouidiot that sounds awful! Pull ups for a not infant child?! Hoping beyond hope that you all skip the worst of it. Maybe stock up on drinks with electrolytes in advance, just in case, and hopefully wont be needed x

stimpyyouidiot · 16/05/2022 23:19

I mean she's nearly 5. She would NOT be impressed with wearing pull ups. She's only being sick at the moment so that's crazy. It's only me here with her so I'll have to dig around to see if I've got any dioralyte leftover from a holiday or something. @madeleine85

MummyToBe2022 · 17/05/2022 06:18

@stimpyyouidiot it is definitely doing the rounds. I work in a school and it's going through like wildfire, plus the majority who have had it also tested positive for covid.

My DS felt ill yesterday evening, he even came off his PlayStation earlier than asked which is very unusual for him.

He hasn't been sick though so hoping he's just eaten something dodgy and it's not the bug.

Hope you manage to escape the germs.

@TurquoiseDreamCatcher I am very uncomfortable too, I just can't find a position I'm comfortable in.
I'm 23+3, my restless legs aren't too bad now but I just can't sit right.
Don't remember being this uncomfortable with my DS and DD

annlee3817 · 17/05/2022 06:19

@stimpyyouidiot my DD was sent home from school yesterday due to being sick, although not convinced it's a bug as she's not been sick once since, I think she coughed too hard (allergies) but means she can't go back for 48 hours 🙄 hope yours feels better soon and you manage to avoid.

This one was so active during the night, woke up and put my hand to my stomach and could feel what I am sure was both of her feet scurrying around, felt so weird against my hand! Woke up three times to her having a proper fidget. Current DD never moved at night when I was pregnant with her.

25 weeks and baby the size of a bottle of wine, far more tangible than fruit and veg lol.

@madeleine85 I think I'd quite like to float in someone's pool at 36 weeks, understand on the not wanting to be sociable front though. I was swollen at that point last time and went on my best friends hen, was so happy when DH drove an hour and came to pick me up just before midnight to take me back home.

LaddieCthulu · 17/05/2022 07:57

I am 24 +5 my bump has grown significantly in the last few weeks, despite only putting on 2.5kg throughout the pregmancy. It's quite amazing.

I bought a mamas and papas Ocarro with cot, and a few extras second hand in fab condition for £220. Very lucky indeed! We love it though, we shortlisted it through a combo of mumsnet and Which? Reviews. I am glad just to have one and not have to research anymore. There are an overwhelming number of pushchairs!
