@Sweetbabydust1989 your better of waiting for the hospital 20 weeks scan as it's much more through. I don't think the private ones check everything unless youv a good clinic with a specially trained sonographer.

Em85kk · 04/05/2022 16:13

20 week scan done, still a boy which is nice! I’ve got to go back in 2 weeks as she couldn’t see the spine with the position of baby.

annlee3817 · 04/05/2022 16:16

Glad all the scans are going well, despite return visits, hope everyone else waiting that the days go quickly for you.

I feel uncomfortable today, like she's wedged herself somewhere, sitting at my desk and keep having to move, feels a bit early to be this uncomfortable, am only 23 weeks

dkedm15 · 04/05/2022 16:24

Had our scan this morning - very nearly needed a rescan because she just wasn't playing ball but we got there in the end! We've had a couple of private scans in between but it's always so lovely to see her wriggling about. 21 weeks tomorrow 🥰

TurquoiseDreamCatcher · 04/05/2022 16:39

Congratulations on the scans that have happened today.

I feel like I've gone from feeling no movements to being booted to pieces. I had such a strong kick earlier that it physically made me jump!

Butterflytulip · 04/05/2022 16:42

Lovely to hear scans going well!!

Butterflytulip · 04/05/2022 16:43

@annlee3817 I had to sit in a gym ball instead of a chair towards the end of work in my last pregnancy. It was fab bouncing up and down while on virtual calls 😂😂

stimpyyouidiot · 04/05/2022 16:53

Had 20 week scan number 2 today. Little bugger is sitting really awkwardly, feet in front of face and bum down. Already panicking about him being breech. He's really low down so im going to use my ball to lean over and hopefully he will come out of my pelvis. Didn't think I'd have to think about this already!! They did manage to get the end of the spine and no problems but only after I'd been for a wee and jumped around as well. Still no picture so that's that chance gone!

Sweetbabydust1989 · 04/05/2022 16:54

So lovely to see all your scans went well!! Mine is in 6 days couldn't come quick enough I think I can relax once that one is out the way.. we want to go shopping for little bits xx

Sweetbabydust1989 · 04/05/2022 16:55

@Butterflytulip I haven't bothered only another 6 days left to wait going to save my pennies for the one we are doing at 28 weeks xx

DD was a breech baby. Although it's early to determine wether yours will definitely stay breech, I'm happy to answer any questions.

stimpyyouidiot · 04/05/2022 18:47

@TurquoiseDreamCatcher my concern is I am hoping for a second home birth and no intervention. Which will be difficult if breech :(

TurquoiseDreamCatcher · 04/05/2022 18:51

@stimpyyouidiot there is quite a bit of time for baby to turn so fingers crossed that this happens. If not, there is a website called spinning babies which encourages babies to turn. I tried to do follow some of the exercises before DD was born but the lady was not for turning!

stimpyyouidiot · 04/05/2022 18:54

I've been sitting on my ball tonight - hoping that he will shift. He's sitting low in my pelvis which is probably why I'm so uncomfortable and why my bump doesn't look like a proper bump. Hopefully he will come out soon. @TurquoiseDreamCatcher

HHomebird · 04/05/2022 19:05

@Butterflytulip thank you! I get like o was at the back of the September pack so it's nice to see so many scans happening today 🥰

The scan was fascinating. Little wriggler didn't want their lower spine scanned so I had to get up and have a little walk around but we got their in the end. We managed to keep the gender a secret still, although I almost caved half way through.

Everything on track. VERY relieved as I haven't felt any movement until the last 24 hours and my "bump" is very small. Confirmed anterior placenta which probably explains that, and I know I have a tilted uterus which would've taken a bit of time to pop out.

Visited our first nursery today as well. Big baby day all round!

Mine is low down in my pelvis too. Although, unlike her sister she is head down. The tops of my legs where they meet my hips are killing me already. I worry for future me!

annlee3817 · 04/05/2022 20:33

@Butterflytulip I may have to get the gym ball back out, good idea

@TurquoiseDreamCatcher lol, some of the kicks make me jump too!

@stimpyyouidiot my DD was breach up until 22 weeks and then flipped and stayed head down for the rest of the pregnancy, still lots of rooms for tumbling around, understand why it makes you nervous though

Glad the rest of the scans went well everyone :)

madeleine85 · 04/05/2022 20:38

@stimpyyouidiot hopefully the little one turns over for it's mum!

Anterior placenta issues still have me. I can feel the little one now if it's first thing in the morning and i'm in bed, and he clearly wants me to get up and get some food. Those kicks seem down low and it's so nice to get anything. My DD gave me one hell of a cough (shocked it isn't covid), but i've spent the last 2 days hacking my lungs up, and today have felt basically nothing from the baby, and my bump feels smaller from all the coughing, which is always concerning. I'd love a day of kicks right now just for reassurance. If I weren't pregnant, i'd be loving the effortless abs i'm currently getting courtesy of this daycare plague, but alas :)

stimpyyouidiot · 04/05/2022 20:39

It's because I'm such a wuss when it comes to hospitals 🤣 @annlee3817

I've been so calm about everything so far but this is my kryptonite

stimpyyouidiot · 04/05/2022 20:43

Also she pressed so hard my stomach still hurts! Appointment was at 4!

LaddieCthulu · 04/05/2022 21:09

Someone I know has just had their baby move from transverse to head down at 36 weeks! @stimpyyouidiot

stimpyyouidiot · 04/05/2022 21:10

Awesome. I'm hoping he will get out of this position then! He has been stuck right in my pelvis the whole time though as I've felt him there - hopefully he will come out soon. @LaddieCthulu

Butterflytulip · 04/05/2022 22:09

@madeleine85 I'm the same with anterior placenta. Usually when I eat and lie on my left I feel something or just on my back rubbing my tummy. I coughed for weeks with Covid and it had no affect on baby, they are well protected in there. Change in babies position might cause the bump size change

madeleine85 · 04/05/2022 23:02

Thanks @Butterflytulip that’s reassuring to hear. Maybe he just turned himself into a comfier spot to avoid my hacking 😂.

Peauela · 05/05/2022 06:51

Hi all! Im officially 20 weeks as of yesterday! 😄 8 more days until the anatomy scan 💕

My feet are swelling sooooooo bad I can't deal 😑
