Continuing on from thread 5!

A post of gratitude... I had a crap night's sleep and lots of emotional triggers in my dreams that made me not want to go back to sleep! Although there was one 'scene' where I walked into a room full of pregnant women, of all different sizes and I was greeting different women as good friends. It was so amazing to be around other women who can relate to where I'm at, and vice versa! So although it's not quite the same (hugging, chatting, eating cake!), I am so appreciative of you all and this thread. Even if I'm not responding to everything I do read all the messages and reply when I can. It certainly helps me to feel more supported and sane, and that I'm not alone even though physically I am quite isolated!

Sending you all lots of love and gratitude, and wishing you all wonderful experiences at your scans this week, and I hope you all enjoy a really good slice (or 3) of cake in honour of our thread! Happy Tuesday xx

@Butterflytulip I have some dungaree shorts from Urban Bliss and they are so comfy and still plenty of room to grow into even though my belly is protruding out a fair bit already! They were from eBay rather than direct

@Redapple21 oh I am so pleased it helped I find they can be more comfortable my other half uses my pregnancy pillow and I use my normal one lol you will find it will help so much xx

Morning ladies.

I had my 20 weeks scan this morning. All is ok with baby. At the moment the placenta is blocking the exit and baby is very low down. I'm planning to have a c-section but the hospital want me back at 32 weeks so they can scan me again and find your location of the placenta.

Baby was very uncooperative and refused to pose for a photo. She seems to like having hands by her face. The sonographer was also able to confirm that baby is still a girl 💕

7 days until my 20 week scan getting nervous and excited to see baby again and my little boy wants to buy the first little outfit out of his birthday money bless him xx

@Celyn22 I no he is so lovely I said I would take him shopping next weekend once the scan is done I haven't even thought of shopping yet I will most likely leave it last minute 🙈 xx

@Sweetbabydust1989 my little girl is being very sweet about her little sister, she has earmarked some toys that she is going to give to her. She got worried the other day that Father Christmas wouldn't know there was a new baby in the house. I've assured her that FC knows everything and don't leave her sister out🤣

@stimpyyouidiot Hey sister! I'm chubby as well, I was at my highest weight before getting pregnant and now 5kg heavier than that! But I try to make this experience positive, yes I feel like a blob, we're going on holidays in a month and I feel embarrassed to put on a swimming suit but at the same time... to hell with insecurities! I'm literally creating life here and I can worry about weight after 😂

I'll be 20 weeks tomorrow I can't believe it!

@TurquoiseDreamCatcher aww that's amazing my boys are a older I have a 9 and 11 year old but it's lovely to see them getting excited won't last long when the baby is attacking their stuff 😂 xx

My sciatica is getting worse now too, must be the extra weight from bump. There is a pressure point in your bum cheek that if you press will help to relieve the pain. Like someone else said, heat works well too. I use a wheat pack to help. Having lots of hip pain as well when I’ve sat in different chairs. I feel so old! I know it’s SPD/PGP as I had it so bad last time, so thankful at least it’s not constant. The pillow between knees at night really helps.

Last night I dreamt I was in labour and then when I woke up my tummy was really sore as I was so bursting for a wee! Sounds silly but it was a really nice dream and made me feel really connected to my baby boy. I have my scan tomorrow, so excited to see how he’s getting on. Let’s hope we get a good picture this time and he behaves! I’ve felt a lot more movement recently too, but it’s so faint. If I’m busy I wouldn’t notice it, but every now and then there’s a bit of a stronger one. I just want to get cracking on the baby room and sorting out all of the girl baby clothes in our loft that we don’t need now. I’ve been waiting until after the scan, so looking forward to getting going. We’ve got a tub as well for my little girl to donate ‘boyish’ toys for him.

Anyone else experiencing cramping and their bump feeling a little tight? Xx

@Sweetbabydust1989 yes I've had more cramps in the past few days. And a few shooting pains here and there

A friend just sent me this link which was a good read if you have a few minutes. It talks about the medicinal benefits of cacao during pregnancy, birth and after birth. I do use cacao most weeks but after reading this I'll be upping my doses nearer my due date! The article of course is geared towards selling it, but I usually buy it at a fraction of the price so let me know if you want a link!

@Celyn22 thanks lovely I am getting shooting pains up my bum too 🙈 it kinda feels like gas pains I think I feel baby moving around in there just wasn't sure if ii am a little dehydrated too I have a bit of shooting pains up my back and down my left leg xx

Second 20 week scan tomorrow. I hope he's in a good position this time, and I can get a picture. Will get them to double check sex too just in case!!

@Peauela thank you! I'm trying hard to remember this is why I'm doing it, but it's hard when I also have a holiday end of this month! MN isn't the best for big women either haha.

Right the pain has gone now I think it might of been because I had to hold my wee in while I was driving. I swear this baby just flicks a switch on in there for when I need to go as soon as I feel like I need to go I need to go lol I was debating booking a scan in for tomorrow privately as my 20 week one is taking forever to come round xx

@Sweetbabydust1989 I am experiencing that too... needing to pee without warning rather than it building up gradually. Also it's the same with pooping! And both give me pains as their first warning which isn't nice. Especially waking up in the night or car journeys!

@Celyn22 I am so glad it isn't just me it feels so bloody weird like I will be ok and the bam I need a wee and if I don't go my stomach hurts I thought it was a uti but all came back clear maybe it's baby pressing on my bladder or something xx

@HHomebird and @stimpyyouidiot hope your scans today went well? I have mine later this afternoon 🤞
