@Carebear99 I got them from a website called Love Leggings. I had to shop around to find some in a short length so was so happy with these! Yes the over the bump bit is still a bit big but sure il grow into it soon enough! Haha

Butterflytulip · 01/05/2022 08:04

@Sweetbabydust1989 I have M&S maternity jeans (got them when they had 20% off sparks). They are more expensive then others iv bought but worth it as they are so comfy. I also have black ones from H&M and they are comfy too.

Re bras I bought a maternity 2 pack from new look and they went straight into charity bag! They were so itchy! It pays off spending a bit as you'll likely be in them for months after baby is born. I kept wearing mine until daughter was 15 months old!!!

BlueSky57 · 01/05/2022 09:29

I am so envious of all the talk about maternity clothes 😳I am 20 weeks today but still wearing my usual jeans and jeggings… I also can’t say my boobs have grown at all yet so haven’t bought anything new 😕

I don’t have a bump and just look like I’ve gained a bit of weight on my face. It is my first baby though so I guess I’ll just pop one day? 😂

Sweetbabydust1989 · 01/05/2022 09:38

@BlueSky57 is this your first baby with my first and second I never showed until I was at least 26 weeks I was in my usual clothes and then popped. With this one my third I am carrying weight all round where as I wasn't with my 2 boys I had small neat bumps this one which is a girl is bloody huge I have been in maternity wear since I was 10 weeks. Yours will happen enjoy wearing your on clothes maternity wear is a pain in the arse and some of it especially jeans are so uncomfortable xx

Sweetbabydust1989 · 01/05/2022 09:39

@Butterflytulip I was thinking of H&M my leggings were amazing for when I had my boys might try the jeans I am finding the river island jeans way too tight and even the next ones they feel like they put pressure on my bump especially when I sit down and then I can't breath roll on summer I want to wear my maxi dresses xx

BlueSky57 · 01/05/2022 10:04

Thank you @Sweetbabydust1989 . Yes this is my first and I’m having a girl. My placenta is anterior and low so I’m now sure if that affects a visible bump 🤔

I am being made to teach from home for safety reasons from 26 weeks so if I don’t pop until then, I’d actually probably save money… I wouldn’t have to invest in maternity work wear for the last few weeks of term, as the camera only shows neck up 😂

Sweetbabydust1989 · 01/05/2022 18:19

@BlueSky57 I have an anterior one too had it with my second baby and now this one all I found is that I didn't feel loads of movement until a bit later due to baby smashing the crap out of my placenta but once you get further along you can feel loads. Bump wise wasn't much different at all.. enjoy fitting into your clothes I would kill to wear my jeans without it feeling like I have a back brace on 😂 xx

stimpyyouidiot · 01/05/2022 18:21

I don't think I could fit into my jeans at about 5 weeks!! I am pretty massive in the first place though.

I struggled from about 5 weeks too. I got the positive test and my arse and thighs expanded!

BlueSky57 · 01/05/2022 19:05

I feel bigger but clothes fit fine so not wanting to spend money at the moment without need as the next year (18 years at least!) will be more expensive won’t they? 😂

I was a size 12/14 when I got pregnant but had hyperemesis and lost 1.5 stone & went down to a definite size 12. Now I can eat, I’ve gained a lot of the weight back now I think (plus more maybe!) & will probably be told off at my 24 week appointment but at least I’m not bed-bound anymore 😁

Butterflytulip · 01/05/2022 20:33

@Sweetbabydust1989 the H&M Jeans are definitely softer more like jeggings... M&S ones more like denim but I find them comfy as the denim is quite low and the big fabric over the belly band is soft and comfy

Butterflytulip · 01/05/2022 21:30

Anyone got scans this week?

I have to go back for my 20 week scan on thurs (baby wasn't in best position for checking the heart fully). I'll be 22 weeks so it'll be nice to see little one again and fingers crossed all ok.

Who else was it that has to go back for same reason?

MedbN · 01/05/2022 21:54

@Butterflytulip I've got my 20 week scan on Tuesday. First one for me though rather than going back a second time.

Belle2210 · 01/05/2022 22:36

@Butterflytulip I'm back for my 3rd 20 week scan on Friday to see the heart from all sides 🤞.... Suppose I get to see Bean another week in a row so can't complain really

Another 20 week scan on Wednesday for me. Just one measurement to take this time. Hoping to get a photo this time if he's not sitting in a funny position again. I'll be 22 weeks

SoOverThisCrap · 02/05/2022 07:16

@Butterflytulip I've go to my 20 week scan on Friday afternoon. Feeling a bit nervous about it. Some days I feel the baby move a fair bit and others days it's not as much, but I do have an anterior placenta.

Goodgoodthings · 02/05/2022 07:16

I've got my 20 week scan on Friday which will be bang on. Excited and nervous!

nearly8 · 02/05/2022 07:19

Hey ladies,

Sorry again that I haven't been on here in a while. Work has been manic as people keep booking holidays/taking days off so my schedule has been really full. So much so that I had to cancel my scan on 27th and rearrange. Earliest they can get me in now is 16/05 which has actually annoyed me quite a bit as I'll be about 23 weeks by then!!

Just checking in with you all, will catch up properly over the next day or two and reply properly.

Congratulations on your scans all of you who have had them.

Oh and I am now big enough for people to start asking if I'm overdue!!

Take care, stay smiling, speak soon x

Redapple21 · 02/05/2022 07:21

Hi ladies ... the last couple of weeks I have started to get a pain/cramp in my right buttocks that goes all down the back of my leg. It's only now and again but it's quite uncomfortable. I think it's sciatica, but I've never suffered with it before. Has anyone else had this and any tips to ease it?

SoOverThisCrap · 02/05/2022 08:14

I'll be 20 weeks and 1 day on Friday when I have mine. I know what you mean about feeling excited and nervous. I think I'm feeling more nervous at the moment!

Goodgoodthings · 02/05/2022 08:41

@SoOverThisCrap this is it, I haven't had any strong feelings of movement yet and don't let myself think about it all too much really. I really want this baby but strangely I feel like my mind is in denial /self preservation mode.

Hopefully after Friday I'll feel a bit more positive 🤞🏻

Sweetbabydust1989 · 02/05/2022 08:51

@Butterflytulip I found that I didn't wanna a Jean kinda feel I just want the look 😂 haven't even tried them yet still in the bag I couldn't be bothered lol scan next week and bricking it no idea why I want it over seen so much stuff in the sales to buy xx

Sweetbabydust1989 · 02/05/2022 08:53

@nearly8 mine is being done at 21 weeks 1 day as they're so back logged wish it was this week feels like forever xx

Sweetbabydust1989 · 02/05/2022 08:54

@Redapple21 I have that quite badly I just take a warm bath and rest when I can or if I can't I hobble along it's an annoying pain xx

Butterflytulip · 02/05/2022 09:02

@Goodgoodthings I was like this with my first! In complete denial. Even when she was born I was like is she mine ?! Took a while for it to sink in!! It's a great feeling though and going home with bubs is just amazing!!

So seems like so far scans are on wed and fri !! Exciting. Won't be long for the others waiting as we must all be nearly at 20 weeks now.

@Sweetbabydust1989 defo the H&M jeggings. Defo get leggings I lived in them after birth. They were just what I needed for lots of sitting on sofa holding bubs. Jeans were a no no then! Sometimes I fell asleep so wanted to be really comfy.
