Congratulations @YummyMummyXoX ☺️ Lovely news, so glad she is here safe and sound, hopefully it's a weight off your mind now. Enjoy the newborn bubble! xx

JMill13 · 23/04/2022 08:11

Anyone else having absolutely mental dreams? I had so many different ones last night my head was melted. They feel so so real. Literally dreams about baby girl stopping growing, stopping moving, early labour (I'm 36+3), her just disappearing from my belly Honestly horrible things.

Bubbasmama2017 · 23/04/2022 08:32

@JMill13 yeah I've been having some very vivid dreams I think it's partly due to hormones and partly feeling stressed out/worried

Jowd92 · 23/04/2022 08:37

Hi all hope everyone is coping well massive congratulations @YummyMummyXoX on your baby girl, I’ve had a nightmare my self after having growth scan yesterday my little girl has gone down only slightly but also her movement have changed really slowed down I’ve been in for reduced movement over 3 times now so consultant has now decided I need to have ctg monitoring every other day which is a nightmare when I have 4 other children! And to be scanned again in 2 weeks and a decision will then be made

YfenniChristie · 23/04/2022 08:54

Congratulations @YummyMummyXoX! So glad to hear that you and little one are well!

YummyMummyXoX · 23/04/2022 09:26

Thank you so much everyone, thank you for your advice, encouragement and support. We're not completely out the woods but my babies here and we're both safe! Anything anyone wants to know anything about my experience (and what a varied labour it was!) I'd be happy to try and help if I can. I hope you all feeling ok and relaxing in the last run up now ❤️

JMill13 · 23/04/2022 09:55

@Bubbasmama2017 it's horrible isn't it? I don't remember them being this vivid last time round.

My movements have definitely slowed / changed the last couple of days and my bump has dropped a bit today, I can now bend at the waist without nearly dying/breaking my ribs and my belly is more squishy.
Not sure if I should go to get checked or not. Or if it's normal at this point? Have the consultant on Monday morning first thing so going to maybe monitor her myself today and track her movement a bit and see what it's like.

Kittycaz · 23/04/2022 09:59

@YummyMummyXoX I just wondered what your contractions felt like to you as a FTM I have no clue and did u have a bloody show before hand? X

Bubbasmama2017 · 23/04/2022 10:03

@Jowd92 have you been in 3 times total or this week? I've been in Twice now for ctg and was a bit worried if I had to go again it might change my birth preferences or mean I would have to go in more regularly for monitoring. Hope that makes sense!

Jowd92 · 23/04/2022 11:54

3 times over all @Bubbasmama2017 but because my ctg kept saying criteria not me to had to stay on long until it finally met and because my growth scan has dropped ever so slightly I now have to go ever other day it’s not ideal really but can’t be helped, I was to be induced anyway I’ve been induced the last 3 times so it’s nothing new to me and I actually prefer it knowing a date and it gives me chance to sort out my 4 other children I think the more you do go in with reduced movement they do lean more toward an induction if they think it’s needed

YummyMummyXoX · 23/04/2022 14:20

So she’s had to go to neonates her oxygens a bit low, temp was low, she might have an infection and needs antibiotics and bloods AGAIN feel like I counted my chickens way to early... 😭 she’s already been pricked and prodded lots and covered in bruises only been out 14 hours 😭 I've cried a few times so overwhelming when you think they're ok and then deteriorate out of nowhere when will the nightmare end.

@Kittycaz
So this time, my contractions on the day I went into labour started 2 days before but were mild that first day just noticeable I was discharged from triage as wasn't dilated, came home they started ramping up that night, had a lot of pressure through the night, kept being woken up with the contractions, weeing was very uncomfortable. I was just up and down unsettled all night. Finally had a bath at 7am which soothed the contractions as soon as I got out the bath the intensity was a lot. Got dropped to the hospital (was driving fine the Thurs, the fri I was totally unable to drive) they said 4cm the contractions ramped up and were VERY close together examined again 7cm. Managed with gas and air and diamorphine to fully.

With my son contractions started around lunchtime on the thurs at 41+4 was booked for induction on the sun. Managed at home in the bath with mild contractions til 7pm. After I left for hospital the intensity was unreal and they were basically back to back. Got to hospital only like 2cm. Checked and at 3cm had epi so was nice to experience a natural labour this time from start to finish.

Listen to your body and trust what it's telling you, don't be scared to be assertive or ask questions/get info it's your body, baby and birth experience xx

Kittycaz · 23/04/2022 16:59

Oh @YummyMummyXoX my thoughts are with you and your little girl. Your both in the best place the hospital and they should keep an eye on you x

Thinking of you @YummyMummyXoX sending lots of hugs! Xx

YummyMummyXoX · 24/04/2022 18:51

She's back with me and doing well I'm having another infusion tonight and hopefully home tomorrow x
How is everyone doing any signs yet 🙂 x

Sarah239 · 24/04/2022 21:59

Glad to hear it! Really keeping my fingers crossed for you, so happy she is back with you now 🥰

I'm doing ok, just hoping I test negative for covid tomorrow (it's been 10 days since symptoms now but still tested positive yesterday) so I can go to my antenatal appointments and don't have to rearrange them again. I haven't had an appointment since 34 weeks and I will be 37 tomorrow.

No labour signs for me... after all the chat over this weekend, I think I've got it in my head now that baby could/will come at any moment 😅but also trying to remind myself my due date is not for another 3 weeks and I read that 85% of FTMs go over their due date (if not induced, I suppose)...! So could definitely still be a wait! She has been moving like crazy tonight.

My lower abdomen feels so tight/heavy and also my bikini area feels so swollen/squidgy (not sore or anything just bunched up!)... anyone else? I think it's just everything being pushed downwards and squeezed out the way!

YummyMummyXoX · 25/04/2022 05:27

Thank you @Sarah239 v exciting esp with you being a FTM! Looking forward to seeing everyone's babies turn up ♥️

@Kittycaz also forgot to answer some of your question, I had a bloody show in the bath about 7am the day I went into labour and gave birth.

Oh @YummyMummyXoX look at her 😍🥰 absolutely beautiful. Glad she's back with you now, fingers crossed yous get to go home soon.

I've been quite sick this weekend. It's honestly felt like being back in the first trimester, every time I eat anything I l've either felt super sick or actually been sick, almost like my body is trying to keep itself empty, is that even a thing?
Movements are still way different/less than they have been but she's still there and moving just differently. Have the consultant at half 9 this morning so hopefully all goes smoothly.

It was around 36 weeks that my little boy stopped growing last time / i developed pre-eclampsia (though both of those weren't discovered until 38 weeks) so think I'm just overly anxious about everything this time.

Kittycaz · 25/04/2022 07:20

@YummyMummyXoX awww she's gorgeous it's amazing all the hair she has am so glad to hear she's back with you. I hope u will be able to go home soon bet your boy can't wait to meet his sister.
I've been getting cramps last few days and more mucus plug but no contractions but I don't know why but I have a gut feeling this may be the week. I am 38+3 atm and it's getting very uncomfortable.
I got midwife tomorrow I don't know if she will look but I'd like to hear if she thinks I'm effaced or dilated. When I had my scan last week it said my estimated due date is today but they didn't change it on my notes and I made mistake of telling my family what scan said so been bombarded this morning with messages 😂.

Morning everyone! 👋🏻

Oh @YummyMummyXoX she's gorgeous! Love the name. Glad to hear she's doing better and back with you. Hope you both get to go home soon!

I've not had any signs yet, but had a very uncomfortable night on Saturday with a very crampy belly and what I thought could be BH at one point. But nothing since. Otherwise have a very wriggly baby, and very ache-y hips and lower bump. Bump feels proper solid in places and I keep having small panics that baby has moved from being head down (which they have been throughout the pregnancy) to sideways.

Sarah239 · 25/04/2022 07:48

@YfenniChristie I feel like I could have written your post, been getting exactly the same!

@Kittycaz Surprised they'd change your due date by such a late scan! I'm beginning to wish we hadn't told anyone our due date but so far haven't really had many questions...

@YummyMummyXoX she is gorgeous! Welcome to the world little lady xx

EastMidsGem · 25/04/2022 07:49

@YummyMummyXoX she's absolutely beautiful - so glad to hear you're together now 🥰

I went for my c-section pre-op yesterday morning and got the c-section booked for tomorrow. Baby was not happy with the midwife poking around at my abdomen yesterday, it made his heart rate shoot up! It soon calmed down but makes me wonder how distressed the poor little mite will be when he's pulled out tomorrow.

Still doesn't seem real that I'll see my baby tomorrow. I'm 39 weeks today and been extremely uncomfortable overnight with my hips and shoulders for a few weeks now. One more pregnant night to get through 🤯

MissM94 · 25/04/2022 08:44

@YummyMummyXoX congratulations! She's gorgeous, love the name 😍 xx

Jowd92 · 25/04/2022 10:30

@YummyMummyXoX congratulations she’s beautiful good luck @EastMidsGem hope all goes well for your C-section can’t believe how fast it seems to have gone and now everyone is having there babies hopefully a couple of more weeks and I’ll be holding my little girl I can’t wait keep getting cramps a lot and losing plug it’s my hips and back what ache the most was going to try having a go on my birthing ball but not sure if it’s still a little too early as only nearly 36 weeks

Kittycaz · 25/04/2022 11:03

@Sarah239 they haven't changed my due date. What it was when I had my scan last week and they measured his head, tummy and femur bone after he was typing up his report he left the screen on and I looked and it said estimated due date 25th April based on those scan measurement. Afterwards when I went into consultant I asked about it he said he won't change it on my notes as it just buggers up appointments. But when I left hospital I was messaging a family member who was asking me how it went and told her what it said on sonographer screen and she got it in her head that today's my due date so she's been messaging around other family members today. I think there all just excited as it's the first baby in my family for 20 years. Hopefully this week though 🤞

@EastMidsGem ooooh bet it's very exciting you won't be able to sleep tonight I hope it all goes well ❤️ X

@Kittycaz ahhhh I see! Bet you wish you'd sworn them to secrecy 😅

@EastMidsGem Good luck! How exciting, will be thinking of you tomorrow!

I am covid negative this morning 🥳 so I was able to go to my scoliosis assessment (no complications anticipated), also had bloods checked as I've had itchy hands and feet which came back normal... and had a CTG done which was fine. Then had my delayed 36 week midwife appt this afternoon and she obviously said I'd already had checks this morning so it was very quick. Fundal height is measuring pretty much on 50th percentile so that's good too!

Glad the last week is over and all the checkups are done today now... I'm feeling like all the things I was worrying about are sorted now and I can now relax :)

Sending everyone all the best wishes!! Getting very real now the babies are starting to arrive...
