@YfenniChristie oh my goodness, at least they're monitoring you but what a nightmare!

I'm so not prepared with the batch cooking although I plan to make a big batch of bolognese this weekend as I figure I can easily use that for jacket potato, with pasta, change it into chilli, etc.

I was on low dose aspirin and was told to stop taking it at 38 weeks so I only stopped this week. Very strange that it's different everywhere

YfenniChristie · 22/04/2022 11:18

It's so frustrating. The original midwife has said that it could just be how the baby is, as looking at the previous readings, they are very much the same across the board. But then she started talking about needing a plan of attack and possibly being induced as I'm in the "safe zone" (37 weeks) anyway.

Just had two other midwives look at the readings so far, and they think it looks great so far but don't understand why the CTG isn't accepting it. 🤦🏼‍♀️😩

EastMidsGem · 22/04/2022 11:35

I just don't understand why they can't override the machine decision like you said before!! It's crazy. It must have some weird tolerances built in that don't work for everyone

H0peing · 22/04/2022 12:19

@YfenniChristie it seems like most people are happy with your readings. I hope it gets resolved soon. Xx

H0peing · 22/04/2022 12:23

@morphe so strange that the definition of full term is different here compared to U.S! I'm definitely choosing to believe that my baby's been fully developed since 37 weeks as I just find it more reassuring, especially considering that I've been having a few signs that my body could be preparing for labour soon and my 1st sweep's booked in with my Midwife from 38 weeks. Xx

YfenniChristie · 22/04/2022 12:45

I've been discharged! Failed the criteria (again), didn't help that baby fell asleep during the last 20mins. The midwives were happy with it, took it to the consultant to review who was also happy with it, so they have sent me on my merry way!

Bumped into the midwife who sent me up to obstetrics on my way out, and she was surprised that they didn't want to see me again/monitor the baby's movements more closely.

YummyMummyXoX · 22/04/2022 13:17

Omg guys I'm 4cm dilated!!!!! Wth didn't expect that x

Kittycaz · 22/04/2022 15:05

@Kittycaz I'm on labour ward atm. Looks like I'm in full blown labour. Going to be examined again hopefully I've moved up a cm with all the contractions I've experienced this afternoon x

Kittycaz · 22/04/2022 15:34

@YummyMummyXoX oh wow so exciting. Am so happy things are progressing for you. You were spot on with your previous post saying your contractions were same as the day before you had your son and they were. 😊 X

Oh good luck @YummyMummyXoX ! I hope everything goes well. Are you able to have anyone with you?

@YfenniChristie I'm glad you were able to be discharged, it sounds frustrating.

Sarah239 · 22/04/2022 17:40

Good luck @YummyMummyXoX !!

EastMidsGem · 22/04/2022 17:46

Bubbasmama2017 · 22/04/2022 18:01

Good luck @YummyMummyXoX
All these babies arriving early is making me a bit nervous I haven't packed my bags or put the car seat in the car yet 🤣

MrsMay19 · 22/04/2022 19:51

@Bubbasmama2017 tell me about it saw the midwife today and she was like you all packed and I was like nope, she was like everything built and I was like nope.. that’s this weekends to do list. So have told DH we need to sort the next2me and pack the bag this weekend so have just started sorting through her clothes to get something washed to pack!

GinnyBee · 22/04/2022 20:05

Best of luck @YummyMummyXoX ! Let us know how it goes!!! 💕

YummyMummyXoX · 23/04/2022 02:22

Thank you guys for well wishes means a lot. Baby girl is here!!! Born at 11.14pm 7lb4oz so growth scan quite accurate last week. She's sooo tiny and cute!
Everything ok so far had a slight over bleed and tiny 1cm tear few stitches. Just awaiting our GD and blood results. My heart is so full with love x

MrsMay19 · 23/04/2022 03:24

Congratulations @YummyMummyXoX Bet it’s such a relief to have her here safe after everything!

GinnyBee · 23/04/2022 04:37

Congratulations @YummyMummyXoX !

I'm awake again. I have slept so shitly for over a week now, apart from Weds and Thursday nights when I only woke up once, didn't have to get out of bed and then 'slept in' until 6am, so yesterday I actually felt like a human being again. Now I've been tossing and turning again all night and then wide awake from 3.30am. Going to bed I had restless legs, itchy feet and slight heartburn, then eventually waking up I really now think it's BH, as I was feeling a slight ache when I was lying in bed trying to get back to sleep with zero success.

Honeymint · 23/04/2022 06:18

@YummyMummyXoX Congratulations!! I’m so glad you’re both doing well, it must be such a relief after all the rubbish you’ve been through. 🎉

@GinnyBee Tell me about it, I haven’t had more than a few hours of broken sleep in months now.. I keep telling myself it’ll be good practice for when they’re here but it’s so uncomfortable some nights I could cry!

I’m 35 weeks now and I’ve been getting a crazy amount of braxton hicks and back pain, for a bit there I was worried about premature labour… but I tried a urine test on a whim (I got a bunch of hospital grade ones from Amazon, they’ve been very helpful) and nope, it’s a UTI. 🤦‍♀️ I have a midwife appointment at the beginning of next week and I don’t know whether to hold on until then or contact triage?

Bubbasmama2017 · 23/04/2022 07:03
