@PeeAche2 wow. I'm so happy you're both safe and well.

Sending you all my love and best wishes!

DaimDillyDoo · 20/04/2022 22:12

@PeeAche2 Congratulations on the birth of your little girl. Very pleased to hear you are doing well.

EarlGreywithLemon · 20/04/2022 22:16

@PeeAche2 big congratulations and really good to hear you’re both doing well!

@DaimDillyDoo I’m with you! I’d also have wanted to put it together ( and not near smoke). The textile parts of our pram are machine washable. Might be the case with yours?

ChildOfFriday · 20/04/2022 22:17

Congratulations @PeeAche2! Glad to hear that your little girl is healthy and I hope that you are also doing well.

GrowBabyGrow · 20/04/2022 22:20

Congratulations @PeeAche2 ! So good that you went in when you did, hope you and baby PeeAche recover well from the ordeal of the last few days and that she goes from strength to strength

mrkb · 20/04/2022 22:21

Congratulations @PeeAche2! What a shock that must be for you but also amazing to have her out in the world with you safe and sound! Hope you're getting lots of rest now.

DaimDillyDoo · 20/04/2022 22:23

@EarlGreywithLemon I feel really silly that I'm so emotional over it. If they had said "we want to purchase your pushchair and put it up before she arrives" I'd probably say no thank you, I'll buy it myself as I'd like to put it up with DP"

I didnt even want to put it up myself yet! I haven't even thought about how I take the material off. It's a Mamas & Papas Strada so I'm sure I will be able too. I really wanted to take it out it's packaging and spend an afternoon with DP putting it together a few days before she arrives. This is my first and unfortunately last baby so it's a special moment.

Why would they think it's acceptable to do that without asking?!

PlodandPod · 20/04/2022 22:27

@PeeAche2 Congratulations, pleased to hear you're both doing okay xx

Flowerbug1994 · 20/04/2022 22:30

@PeeAche2 Congratulations… glad to hear your both doing ok. Well done again on trusting them instincts !! Regarding prem clothes I seen some cute bits in Asda the other day and not to dear as am sure she’s going to come on fabulously and be out of prem baby clothes pretty soon. Can’t believe first baby from this thread is here already 💖💖

Annabell1 · 20/04/2022 22:30

So good to hear you and your little girl are OK @PeeAche2 Congratulations and all the best! 💕 Hope you feel better soon. Xx

@Flowerbug1994 I have also noticed that baby is more active if I'm relaxing. Went for a long walk over the weekend and was worried about how quiet she was. But once I got home, the party started.

Does anyone know what you have to do if you and your partner are not married but want to share parental rights?

Rolledthedice · 20/04/2022 22:32

Oh my gosh, that must have been quite a shock @PeeAche2 . So glad baby Peeache is ok and congrats on meeting your daughter! Wishing you both lots of good health and hope you are able to rest and recover.

EarlGreywithLemon · 20/04/2022 22:37

@DaimDillyDoo I honestly completely understand and would feel the same. I think it’s two things: parents seem to forget what it was like to be new parents ; and they get over excited about grandchildren and forget they’re not their kids. I saw that with my mum - and we came to blows about it. Luckily they live abroad so it didn’t happen often.
if I were you I’d get the pram home at some point, machine wash what parts you can, air the others, and put it together with your husband just as you meant to!

InvisibleDragon · 20/04/2022 22:42

Congratulation on the birth of your baby girl @PeeAche2 !!

My goodness, that must have been a tough few days - really glad you're both ok and begin well looked after in hospital!

@pregnancydiaries how are things going for you? Is your pain being managed a bit better now?

@DaimDillyDoo oh that's so annoying 😞 Probably thought they were being helpful but it's so frustrating when the "helping" actually makes things worse!

RoseValleyRambles · 20/04/2022 23:01

@peeache2 wow! So glad she's here and safe. I hope you're being looked after - it all sounds really scary.

Brightsmoke · 20/04/2022 23:10

@rolledthedice mainly in case covid came back, I couldn’t cope with what happened last time without my husband. Also, the hospital is in the town centre and is horrendous to get to in rush hour, and took us 30 mins to park recently. Also, I just feel a bit more zen these days 😂😂

@f movements are definitely less when I’m busy, until I sit down of an evening and he goes mad again.

@Daimdillydoo I’m with you, I’d be pissed

Congratulations @PeeAche2! Glad you’re both OK

Vimto1991 · 20/04/2022 23:22

@PeeAche2 hugest congratulations to you on the birth of your baby girl! I am so glad to hear she is doing well and you are, too. Hope your recovery is quick and your baby can go home as soon as she’s ready swiftly. so glad you trusted something was wrong and you have your baby girl now!

Whatcanmyusernamebe · 20/04/2022 23:45

Congratulations @PeeAche2. So glad that little one has arrived safely. Wishing you all the best with your recovery.

Vimto1991 · 21/04/2022 00:35

I’m really struggling to identify ‘reduced’ movements. I’ve felt baby move like little fingers near pelvis as that’s where they are now, but all this evening nothing major. No big rolls. No big kicks. I have an anterior placenta so I don’t know if now they’re back to stomach and head down I just can’t feel it as much. Is it reduced like quieter, nothing, more time between movement?
ive Played music and that made them roll (not a big movement but I saw and felt them roll), that was an hour ago. Since then… slight finger twitching. I can’t sleep until I feel them. DH said it’s my anxiety and I really hated that, especially as we rely on our intuition right now. :( I don’t want to waste peoples time if I have to go to
hospital to get told all is okay, especially with how late it is and I still feel SOME movement, just not as large as previously. Like as I type this I can once again feel something in my pelvis (I figure it hands), but nothing in my upper body 😭

Rolledthedice · 21/04/2022 01:10

@Vimto1991 I also have anterior placenta and sometimes feel not much more than the finger movements you describe. Whereas other evenings I feel big rolls! I think it can depend on what way they are facing too. I would try drinking a big glass of cold water and see if that wakes them up. Never feel like you are wasting the midwives time by calling, even if it’s just for reassurance over the phone, they’d always much rather you call than not. :)

Jammymare · 21/04/2022 03:13

@PeeAche2 congratulations! I’m so glad you and baby are safe and well. What with work being less than supportive and an unplanned early arrival you have had a pretty traumatic time of it. I hope you’re feeling less sore soon, take care xx

PleaseSendNoodles · 21/04/2022 04:06

@Vimto1991 and @Rolledthedice same here… anterior placenta. Some big rolls at night but other times just little flickers. I’m feeling a bit guilty for not having recorded a proper ‘pattern’.

Oh wow @PeeAche2 what a shock! But congrats on the safe arrival of your daughter. Sending loads of love to your little family 💕

JAR1981 · 21/04/2022 05:19

@PeeAche2 huge congratulations on the safe arrival of your little girl. The first baby born to the thread! I can’t imagine the shock and stress you’ve been through over the past couple of days though. Wishing you a speedy recovery and hope the little one continues to do well.

@pregnancydiaries how are you doing now?

I‘’m at the hospital now as woke up at 2am with wet pyjamas. Waiting on tests to see if it’s my waters or I just peed myself (never happened before and feels odd to say I’m hoping for that!

imhereforthecake · 21/04/2022 06:12

@PeeAche2
Congratulations ❤️
I'm glad you're both safe. Just shows you should always follow your gut.

Monitoring of baby movement and heartrate all fine so now just waiting on a doctor to check cerxix/do a swab for presence of amniotic fluid.

@Vimto1991 i asked my midwife about this and said when monitoring movement consider the regularity not the strength as that can change with baby’s position. If you’re at all concerned though call triage

Turniptracker · 21/04/2022 06:31

@PeeAche2 thank god you listened to your instincts, it probably saved your baby girl. Congrats on her safe arrival and hope you recover well.
