I'm receiving oxygen and some fluids via IV and I have to stay in the hospital. The plan is to keep baby inside me for as long as possible because every day in me makes them stronger. But I will be going in for early C section if her heart rate doesn't regulate.

Feeling tired but not as scared as I was this morning. Consultant has said I may have to stay in until birth now but midwife told me on the sly that lots of women in my situation go home after a few days.

No idea what caused her to go crazy at 3am and then silent. They really just don't know. So weird. Her heart rate is still low but it's stabilised and they expect it to begin going up now.

PeeAche2 · 19/04/2022 20:31

Sorry, I should have been clearer: I'm going in for c section in the next couple of days if her heart rate and movements don't improve. So I could be the first in this group.... nail biting.

Vimto1991 · 19/04/2022 20:49

@PeeAche2 crossing all my fingers and toes it stabilises so you can go home and baby can cook for another few weeks yet!! How odd that it happened, but thank god you trusted your instincts even after the midwife dismissed you!!

EarlGreywithLemon · 19/04/2022 20:58

@PeeAche2 how stressful, but brilliant that you trusted your instincts and went in. Have they said what they think the issue is?

@annie1994 I did actually flag the antidepressant several times before the first birth, and was reassured that it’s on my notes and they’re aware. I’m not aware of them doing any special monitoring on her though, and she didn’t seem to have any side effects. It may be a trust thing?

Flowerbug1994 · 19/04/2022 21:03

@PeeAche2 so sorry you have to go through this but well done on trusting your instincts and going in and getting the treatment you need. How far are you now ? Are they giving you steroids ? Will keep everything crossed for you xxxx

RoseValleyRambles · 19/04/2022 21:15

@peeache2 praying for everything to stabilise so she can bake a little longer - how stressful. You're doing all the right things for her though so just keep going.

Big love.

Prema112 · 19/04/2022 21:16

Oh @PeeAche2!! This is so crazy I'm so sorry you're going through this but pleased to hear you're feeling better and baby is being monitored. What's her heart rate? Have they done a scan and checked the placenta blood flow? How many weeks are you? Praying her hr goes back up and you're able to go home and have her after 37 weeks xxx

DaimDillyDoo · 19/04/2022 21:18

@PeeAche2 Thinking of you. You're in the best possible place.

The heartburn is killing me and I'm already on 2 x Omezprozole each day! Easter Sad I've put on 5lb in 3 weeks as well! Can't wait to feel like myself again.

lochmaree · 19/04/2022 21:23

hi everyone. I just found this thread! I am due on 26th June. Smile

MrsNT · 19/04/2022 21:28

@daimdillydoo

Rennie tablets are my best friend for heartburn. Even having it middle of night as wakeup due to severe heartburn

MrsNT · 19/04/2022 21:29

@PeeAche2 hope all goes well for u hun xx do keep us updated

Rolledthedice · 19/04/2022 21:31

Keeping everything crossed for you @PeeAche2! Really hope your little one’s heart rate goes up and stabilises. She has a strong mum! xx

beansprout55 · 19/04/2022 21:36

Praying all stays ok peeache2. Xx

30+2 now - anyone else get breathless whilst sitting or laying? I've been having it on and off all evening. Comes on randomly during the day too. I mentioned it at last MW check to be safe but she was happy. Freaks me out sometimes!

Octoblockisadick · 19/04/2022 21:41

@annie1994 my daughter was born at 10.30am ish, so probably left the theatre just after 11. Was told I could go home at noon the next day, but ended up waiting until tea time for the Dr to do the baby checks because it was a Saturday. If it had been a weekday I would've been discharged before lunch I think.

Oh @PeeAche2 Flowers. How many weeks are you? So glad your listened to your instinct that something wasn't right, gut feelings are so important. Fingers crossed everything stabilises so she can grow for a little bit longer.

JAR1981 · 20/04/2022 06:31

Thinking of you @PeeAche2 . Sending lots of positive thoughts to your little one that the heartbeat stabilises and you can keep them cooking a little longer x

pregnancydiaries · 20/04/2022 07:09

@PeeAche2 so sorry to come on and read this, I'm so glad you went to get checked.

I've been told so many times over the past few days that if they need to bring baby on early that we are in a strong position. Yes, little one will need a spell in NICU but they would be brought in under controlled circumstances with every thing ready to help them the second they come out. I've had lots of midwives tell me of their own personal stories of babies coming out 30+ with babies that are now the healthiest wee children. I'm not 100% sure but I'm sure you're due around the same as me if not slightly ahead, so at 31 weeks plus, we've got this 💪🏻 hope little ones heart rate has picked up today and that you're comfortable. Xxx

pregnancydiaries · 20/04/2022 07:54

@PeeAche2 no idea why that post below is all over the place...you get the idea

Roxystar23 · 20/04/2022 08:37

Sending lots of love to you @PeeAche2 - will be thinking about you and baby girl and sending positive vibes your way for little ones heart rate.

I’m 33 weeks tomorrow & I was born at 33 weeks myself. My mum has filled me with panic that I’m not ready (hospital bags are not packed, no birth plan & we haven’t made up the bedside crib yet either & there is still a lot we need to buy) & what if my baby comes early just like I did? Is anyone else is a bit of a state of panic thinking “what if I go into labour today!?”. I haven’t finished reading my hypnobirthing book yet and I would at least like to get to the end of that before I go into labour.

I’m another one that seems to be waking in the middle of the night for a rennie - such a lovely midnight snack! Haha!

ChildOfFriday · 20/04/2022 08:47

Thinking of you @PeeAche2 and hoping everything is ok.

@Roxystar23 I feel exactly the same- I’m 32 +2 today and I still feel so unprepared and like I have so much to do, but I’m so tired after work that I don’t have the energy to get anything sorted!

annie1994 · 20/04/2022 08:52

@PeeAche2 fingers crossed that baby’s heart rate stabilises, at least you’re in the safest place! Will be thinking of you and baby

@EarlGreywithLemon it must be a trust thing then, it’s weird how policies differ so much between NHS trusts!

@lochmaree welcome! How are you finding your pregnancy so far?

fpeg · 20/04/2022 09:16

@PeeAche2 hope you and little one are all ok and that her heart rate climbs again! Like everyone else says, so important that we listen to our instincts, no one knows ourselves our baby better than we do! Hope you've been able to rest overnight ok x fingers crossed all settled down and stays out and you are allowed home again like the midwife says. 💚

@lochmaree welcome xx

Octoblockisadick · 20/04/2022 09:19

@Roxystar23 I'm starting to think about things a bit more too. I'm 32+4 but with baby being so big (supposedly) I'm starting to think maybe I should be ready earlier. He's quite low too, they commented at the scan that his face is very low in my pelvis. My bump seems quite low too.

Also, question re the size thing. When the midwife measures my stomach its bang on 50% every time, but all the scans have said 97.5%. If my placenta and fluid are normal (which they've said they are), where the hell is baby? How is he twice the size of my womb? I don't get it haha.

Hope things are better today @p

Octoblockisadick · 20/04/2022 09:20

Ugh mumsnet is glitching
That was meant to say @PeeAche2 ❤❤

Vimto1991 · 20/04/2022 09:25

@Roxystar23
im 33 weeks and started panicking, too, so I’ve been picking up bits for the bag here and there, got nursing outfits on the way, tankini, fruit and nuts which won’t go out of date, nothing actually packed. We still don’t have a bedside crib (we are getting this off a friend but don’t know when!!), nor a basket for sleeping downstairs either. We have clothes and a few packs of nappies 😅 if baby drops out now we’d just have to scramble all the help we could get. I think you’d have a bit of time to get stuff ready as baby might be in NICU for a little bit, so I think we will be okay!

yes also to the rennies club! I actually woke up in the night twice for rennies rather than to pee 🙈 I’ve got read bad insomnia and RSL, too so I’m knackered at work already.

JAR1981 · 20/04/2022 09:55

@Roxystar23 yep! I have A few hospital bag items laid out in our spare room but doing an Amazon order practically every day for the rest and nothing is packed. I’ll be 34 weeks on Saturday so also really need to start washing baby clothes. I think because the consultant told me I will likely need to induce early (around 38-39 weeks) due to GD, I’m more caught up in that and deciding whether I’d prefer an elective c-section vs thinking about the possibility of an early arrival.
