@Peauela that definitely looks like a bump shape 😊

SoOverThisCrap · 08/04/2022 10:00

@stimpyyouidiot ahh it's a lovely feeling isn't it? I could feel my little one going crazy when I was in bed last night. It still feels like flutters and popping at the moment but they feel more intense than they even did a few days ago...

Poppypip1 · 08/04/2022 10:01

Thank you @annlee3817 it's frustrating isn't it!

@Peauela that's fab news you don't have diabetes, but absolutely you're welcome to join our fitness club!

Also I think you've got a bump forming there 😊 I'm 17 weeks today and no obvious bump yet.

Sorry you're not well @PrettyTulip sounds miserable hopefully you'll feel better soon.

@stimpyyouidiot eeeh that's so exciting you can feel kicking 😁 I've had done flutters and pops but no real kicks yet. Can't wait

I'm so nervous for my scan tomorrow 😬😬😬

SoOverThisCrap · 08/04/2022 10:02

So today is the day I start weaning off Cyclogest. I was 16 weeks yesterday and I did my final morning pessary yesterday morning. As of today it'll be evening ones for about a week, or I may just do a couple of evenings in a row and then every other evening until next Thursday/Friday and then stop completely.

Feeling slightly nervous and anxious about the whole thing....

Peauela · 08/04/2022 10:09

@Celyn22 Yes the clothes are definitely getting tighter now!

GlitteryGreen · 08/04/2022 10:18

@Poppypip1 I completely agree with you about the body comments...I know people are just trying to be nice but nobody wants to be told they look bigger.

It frustrates me especially because my 'bump' is pretty much non-existent as yet and there is 100% no way anyone would guess I was pregnant from my appearance, so it really annoys me when now all of a sudden they 'can see a bump' just because they've been told.

Poppypip1 · 08/04/2022 10:35

@GlitteryGreen it's as though as soon as you tell people you're pregnant your body all of a sudden becomes public property!

Also another moan...I am so shocked by the amount of people who have asked me if this baby was planned/were we trying! Rude!!!

Close friends I don't mind asking and I'm happy to tell them the truth (it wasn't) but people I don't know that well and random colleagues how rude!
I'm struggling a little mentally with it so not something I want to talk about with people I don't know that well. Anyone else experienced this? I guess it's because I'm older and have a huge age gap between my first and this one.

annlee3817 · 08/04/2022 10:46

@GlitteryGreen I'm kind of expecting this, as I was adamant that we would only be having one because of how stressful the last pregnancy was, and have been saying a hard no for 6 1/2 years, then with turning 40, I don't really blame them if they ask if it was planned (it was)

ShiningStarz · 08/04/2022 11:31

@annlee3817 I'm wearing my old maternity bra today!!! My god it makes a big difference! I looked on M&S online last night! Must get some of their crop top style bras. I'm a 32E so cup ones are useless as I just fall out unless it's wired!! 😂

annlee3817 · 08/04/2022 11:35

Lol @ShiningStarz I'm currently measuring at a 34D, but went up to an F when my milk came in last time then settled at an E, these have a good full cup though if that helps. I usually a 30C so in alien territory 🤣

Celyn22 · 08/04/2022 12:13

@Poppypip1 yes i’ve experienced this too... my partner and I were talking about having children most days but imagining we’d have them in a year or two... our little boy had other ideas! Now is clearly the right time and we’re both thrilled. But yes as i’ve told people and I answer that question, I say “yes he was planned but his timing was a surprise!” When we told family we were then asked immediately when we’d be getting married! I didn’t really expect that!

@Celyn22 Yea similar for us really, we'd talked about it and had things that were in process (house sales moving etc) before we were going to start trying but baby had different ideas and thankfully it all seems to be working out okay. I give similar answers to people I don't know too well, but my close friends had a proper chat with them about how I'm feeling a mixture of shock/surprise/excitement but don't really want to talk about that with colleagues! I can't believe so many people think that's a polite question to ask! I find it so personal!

Carebear99 · 08/04/2022 12:55

I have told a few people at work. As I'm 39 with a 20 year old daughter the response from MEN has been shocking. My boss laughed and an older male colleague was quite rude (not on purpose I don't think).

stimpyyouidiot · 08/04/2022 13:32

I'm 18+4 today! @Celyn22

So pleased. The anxiety had finally started to get me but I sat there this morning and just felt absolute relief!!

Famii · 08/04/2022 13:49

Hi everyone!!

I'm also due with my rainbow baby in Sept and was wondering if you can help?

I'm currently 16 weeks and been having dull cramping for about a week or so. Also been having tingling and pressure on my cervix today with sudden pressure above pelvic bone. Is this normal for someone at 16+2?

After two miscarriages, I'm really worried and waiting for my GP to call me is making me feel worse 😅

veryberrie · 08/04/2022 13:50

I'm 16+6 days pregnant, I felt a little bubble popping sensation in my womb 3 times last night and 1 this morning. Is this flutters? Blush

@Carebear99

I'm along the same lines as you, that's so rude!!!!! What is wrong with people!

Yep! It'll feel very similar to gas 🤣

Yep! You'll just be starting to stretch it all out and it just feels very weird!!
Carebear99 · 08/04/2022 14:32

I'm 18w today, still not sure I've felt anything. I've got a doppler so I know the baby still has a heartbeat

MOLWI · 08/04/2022 14:45

I'm also 18 weeks but have an anterior placenta so haven't felt anything yet! Hopefully not too long until I do 🤞🏼

veryberrie · 08/04/2022 14:47

@Famii don't worry, I'm going through the exact same craps. It's just stretching, can be uncomfortable so make sure you're getting enough rest. Big hugs to you x

@stimpyyouidiot yeah I was unsure if it was gas... but it seemed too low 😂 ah the joys of being pregnancy and constipated haha

@Carebear99 I wouldn't worry if you haven't felt anything yet, everyone is different. Your little one is probably just too comfy and cosy in there. 🥰

veryberrie · 08/04/2022 14:48

@MOLWI ah bless you, can't wait until you feel your first movement 🥰 so exciting!

Famii · 08/04/2022 16:29

Thank you @veryberrie @stimpyyouidiot you both helped put my mind at rest ☺️

madeleine85 · 08/04/2022 17:29

@stimpyyouidiot that is lovely to hear! So glad you have movement now!

@Peauela you look great, I definitely see a cute little bump.

@Poppypip1 it is no one's business but yours! People are so damn nosy. Our fist one wasn't planned, and both my/my HD's families have an accidental 3rd child. I laught at how people think it is taboo, yet it happens all the time!

@Famii I randomly get stretching pains all the time at the moment, I also get sharp pains if I sit up from lying suddenly. If you are concerned ask your midwife. I asked my doctor, and she said as long as there is no bleeding she wasn't concerned. No harm checking though really.
