I donโ€™t know when Iโ€™m due, Iโ€™ve not had a period since DS was born but I got 1-2 weeks on a Clearblue digi this morning which puts me sometime late October or early November (I think!)
Feels like Iโ€™m too far behind the October group but too early for a November oneโ€ฆ anyone due a similar time and want to join me? Would love to have some company ๐Ÿ˜Š

I think @Hjklasdfg set up the group

misslahx · 01/04/2022 10:59

Off topic but is anyone experiencing MAJOR food aversions? I will go to make food as hungry but when it comes to eating if I just don't want it.

I'm fine with drinks but it's just food for me. I also am finding myself full up when only eaten half of my food

Anyone else?

Annny27 · 01/04/2022 11:07

@misslahx 100% yes

I thought of a dinner I wanted yesterday, husband cooked it, and then I couldn't eat it as the smell was making me ๐Ÿคข๐Ÿคข

Soo hard to think of what to eat!!!

PeoniesInJune · 01/04/2022 14:16

@misslahx Yep! I was a vegetarian before falling pregnant and my diet is now basically what I would have eaten when I was 10. For a while I kept trying to eat as I would before but a lot of stuff made me gag. I only fancy quite bland stuff, pizza, ham and cheese sandwiches, crisps, yogurts, cod and mash, some cereals.

It changes day to day though. Iโ€™ve completely gone off fruit and most veg except broccoli so itโ€™s a bit of a shock. Shock My nausea is definitely easing a little in week 9 but I was prescribed something by the doctor.

73nat · 01/04/2022 15:06

@annny27 yes me too! I get a vile taste when I eat some foods basically anything with flavour !

I'm really hoping it eases soon !

Hi All,
New to any forums, and pregnancy! This is my first, estimated due date is 29th October ๐Ÿคž
So I am currently 9weeks 4days (estimated) and I have covid, I've had a temperature and fatigue and muscle aches but the most worrying thing I've now developed is spotting, obviously not related to covid but I'm worried that it is more than spotting...

Since getting covid my nausea has stopped, my breasts don't hurt as much and I know it could just be because I am poorly so I am not focusing so much on the pregnancy symptoms, but now the spotting has started, I'm so worried. I spoke to the EPAU yesterday and they reassured me, however the spotting seems worse today, and it's lasted longer.
It started off as brown blood and changed to pink/red like what you'd get at the very beginning/end of your period.
Is or has anyone else experienced spotting at this stage and can tell me what it is like, (graphic details are fine) I honestly have no idea what to expect from my body during pregnancy and with covid thrown in I'm worrying even more.
Obviously as I have covid I can't go for a scan right now, so the only choice I have is to google things and that is not helping!

This baby has been 3 years in the making, I had almost given up all hope, so I'm not prepared for this to not work out!

AbbiL0u · 01/04/2022 17:10

@DogsAndBirds So pleased your scan went well, woohooo! Hope youโ€™re feeling loads better today ๐Ÿ’•

@BlueFrog1 So sorry to hear this, itโ€™s so stressful and especially with covid at the same time! I had brown spotting for a while, it stopped and then 4 days later I started bleeding red like a period too, for a fair few hours. Had a scan the following week and confirmed all okay, so it might honestly be fine and I hope it ends for you soon to put your worries at rest! Mine happened at 7 weeks, and I read that as the weeks go on itโ€™s more unlikely for something bad to happen so everything crossed ๐Ÿ’•

I have a few food aversions, and feel like my sense of smell is stronger than usual at the minute, but more than anything I am hungry alllll the time, and for bad stuff! I have been feeling slightly nauseous (and my nausea has dropped off the last week or so so hoping that all is okay), and is just replaced by constant hunger instead! Anyone else gone this way? :S

AbbiL0u · 01/04/2022 17:11

@BlueFrog1 fingers crossed all okay for you at over 9 weeks* ๐Ÿ’•

DogsAndBirds · 01/04/2022 17:29

@BlueFrog1 Iโ€™ve had spotting a few times - first time was around week 5/6 and was pink followed by brown. When I got to 8 weeks I paid for a private scan to check everything was okay.

I then had spotting again this week at about 10+3 and had an emergency NHS scan to check things were okay. This spotting started again pink - certainly not red, it was a paler pink colour (I think it was like a bit of blood mixed with โ€˜normalโ€™ discharge), followed by brown later on. (I also had pain which is why it was taken more seriously)

I think some spotting is relatively normal as everything is growing and stretching but if you are worried maybe get yourself in for a scan to check everything.

Iโ€™m Rhesus negative so from 12 weeks any bleeding at all and I have to get an anti-D injection.

Kat668 · 02/04/2022 08:02

@BlueFrog1 am sorry you are going through covid and spotting ๐Ÿ˜ž I think as long as there aren't clots try and stay positive (sometimes even with clots things can be fine though, but that's a bit rarer). I wouldn't worry about your dymptomd stopping, mine completely went and I freaked out so much that I spoke to my midwife who said it's really nothing to worry about, and had an early scan that showed everything was fine.
Will keep everything crossed for you x

@AbbiL0u yes I'm the same! Little bit annoying as I was loosing some much needed weight but now I'm probably putting it all back on again ๐Ÿฅฒ๐Ÿ˜น just feel hungry all the time now. I've only noticed one food aversion so far though so I suppose that's good!

Kat668 · 02/04/2022 08:03

Oh and is anyone using a pregnancy tracker app? Was thinking of using one but don't know which to go for!

BlueFrog1 · 02/04/2022 10:36

Hi All thanks for your comments.
The spotting has got worse, red blood and is now more like a light period, with mild cramping. I have rang the EPAU again and am waiting on a call back.
Unfortunately not much I can do with covid as I can't exactly go in for a scan.
Hoping for the best but fearing the worst ๐Ÿ˜ž

MrsGreen2021 · 02/04/2022 11:31

@Kat668 I use Glow (Nurture) and itโ€™s great

CatLady1994 · 02/04/2022 16:10

I had spotting earlier this week @BlueFrog1 - started off as a brownish discharge and then turned into spots of red and had mild cramping. GP was a bit useless and wouldn't refer me to the EPU until I started passing clots, so I paid for a private scan on Friday to reassure me. Baby is absolutely fine and was dancing around in there, kicking its legs and waving its arms! Luckily my spotting has now cleared up. I'm 10w1d today according to LMP but was measuring slightly ahead at 10w2d at the scan yesterday x

Due late Oct ๐ŸŽƒ - early Nov ๐ŸŽ‰
Raindrops2015 · 02/04/2022 17:06

@BlueFrog1 I had covid and started spotting, it only happened three times. Had some very mild cramping too. Had a private and nhs scan and all was OK. Start doing lateral flows and you can get out of isolation early if you have 2 negatives in a row. Hope you get seen soon, any type of bleeding should be investigated.

misslahx · 02/04/2022 19:23

@Kat668 pregnancy + is the best one !! Only available for iPhones I think x

BlueFrog1 · 02/04/2022 19:28

@CatLady1994 congratulations, that's the cutest scan I think I've ever seen โค๏ธ
Was your red spotting light?
@Raindrops2015 I've been LF testing and they are all coming back strong positives ๐Ÿ˜ž I feel fine other than a stuffy nose.
This is day 4 now, and I'd definitely say it's moved onto bleeding, mostly small clots and one large clot, mixed with clear stretchy mucus. Sorry for being graphic.
I haven't heard back from the EPAU either.
I've just got to wait it out.

Raindrops2015 · 02/04/2022 21:28

Get a scan sorted for the day you come out of isolation. I'm sorry. I'm sure it is so tough isolating and having the stress of bleeding. I really hope it's something benign. If you tell EPU the changes they should see you as soon as you are out of isolation. Could you try and get someone to collect a script for progesterone in the meantime? I started progesterone after my spotting. I'm on aspirin too. Definitely worth taking low dose 75mg aspirin in pregnancy if you have covid. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

CatLady1994 · 03/04/2022 08:31

@BlueFrog1 I would say it was consistent with what I'd see on the day my period would start - so yes quite light, not enough to fill a pad but enough for me to be concerned about. I didn't pass any clots in the end. The sonographer at the private clinic I went to couldn't see anything to cause the bleeding which is both a comfort and a worry in case it happens again! But keeping fingers crossed that it was a one off.

I hope you hear back from the EPU soon and your covid clears up. Try and stay positive x

sunnyd67 · 03/04/2022 13:15

Hello. Any advise regards to fever and cold symptoms? Stuffed nose, headache and now low grade fever. I have taken paracetamol, unwillingly as I would wish to avoid any medicine taken while pregnant. I'm 9 weeks. Worried that the fever might affect the baby somehow? My fifth pregnancy and first time getting this far.

Annny27 · 06/04/2022 08:37

How is everyone?

About a week till my 12 week scan.now so not too long!

@sunnyd67 I think paracetamol/ kool and soothe fever strops might be all we can use in pregnancy sadly

ThinkingDifferent · 06/04/2022 09:19

Ooh how exciting @Annny27 not long to go. I'm ok just have weird food aversions, 90% of the time I actually don't want to eat anything

DogsAndBirds · 06/04/2022 12:04

@Annny27 my 12 week scan is on Monday :) And then we plan to tell family so that will be great! Feeling alright at the moment but my bladder is the size of a walnut. I should have bought share in toilet paper!

@ThinkingDifferent food aversion sounds awful- sorry your struggling

misslahx · 06/04/2022 18:57

Good aversions are my main symptom right now I get the odd sickness but not as often. I have a private scan I had to push back on Monday due to covid which I will be 11w1d for so hopefully will see bub!! I then have my nhs 12 week scan on the following Friday which is exciting
