I donโ€™t know when Iโ€™m due, Iโ€™ve not had a period since DS was born but I got 1-2 weeks on a Clearblue digi this morning which puts me sometime late October or early November (I think!)
Feels like Iโ€™m too far behind the October group but too early for a November oneโ€ฆ anyone due a similar time and want to join me? Would love to have some company ๐Ÿ˜Š

@AbbiL0u Iโ€™m not too bad. Resigned to just waiting til Tuesday now. The progesterone has stopped the spotting entirely and Iโ€™ve had no other bleeding ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ Iโ€™m getting progressively more nauseated but I donโ€™t know if thatโ€™s the baby or the pessaries :/

I donโ€™t want to hope but part of me has started hoping and I know Iโ€™m just going to be massively disappointed when the scan comes around ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

Iโ€™ve already cancelled all of my other appointments (booking in and 12 week scan).

I hope you enjoy your appointment on Friday! :)

TheBirdintheCave · 24/03/2022 08:27

Eugh I've started having red spotting this morning so that's probably it for me :( That's what I get for hoping.

Annny27 · 24/03/2022 12:42

@thebirdinthecave :( can you call the EPU to get seen?

TheBirdintheCave · 24/03/2022 13:00

@Annny27 My husband's left a message. They'll probably just tell us to wait til the scan on Tuesday :(

Sorry everyone, just seems like this pregnancy has been endless drama from start til now.

Tuesdaysgirl · 24/03/2022 13:29

Hello, anyone mind if I join this thread?

Got a shock bfp this week - Iโ€™m 41 and already have two DC aged 8 (nearly 9) and 6.

Not really sure when Iโ€™m due. My periods were v irregular (in fact I thought I was perimenopausal) and my last period was around 10 Feb but I remember it being unusually light and am now wondering if it was actually an implantation bleed Confused

Have a GP appt on Monday so hopefully they can shed some light!

sunnyd67 · 24/03/2022 17:11

Any advice, please!!!!??

I had an internal scan on Tuesday at 7w3 measuring 7w6d, the nurse showed us the screen and said sorry it's a very unclear picture, I asked her why is that, she said it could be for number of reasons but didn't say what. We could still see the heartbeat and had a picture. After she took the probe out and I cleaned myself I noticed brown spotting on the tissue paper. Didn't think anything of it, next day I had quite a lot of dark brown discharge come out in one go and then pale brown for the rest of the day. Today I'm having really bad cramps and back pain with some pinkish brown discharge throughout the day. The nurse had to go quite deep with pressure, I thought might be cervix but now I'm having bad cramps I don't feel reassured by the scan at all, the nurse was also 'cold' no affection at all despite working in an IVF clinic โ˜น๏ธ this is my fifth pregnancy, all previous have ended in losses, this is the furthers I have got to.. I know people say cramps are normal and I understand but this is pretty much straight after the scan with brown spotting

TheBirdintheCave · 24/03/2022 17:42

Did she mean the quality of the scanner wasnโ€™t the best? Or did she definitely mean the baby?

sunnyd67 · 24/03/2022 18:37

@TheBirdintheCave all she said the picture wasn't very clear, I'm not really sure what she meant, but googling other scan pictures I can see some are clearer than others

xreadytoglow · 24/03/2022 20:03

@sunnyd67 sorry to hear you're going through that, I'm sure it's worrying for you. I'd call your IVF clinic to tell them and complain if you feel like you didn't have a good experience, they may offer you another reassurance one in a week or so? Hopefully it's just that you're a bit irritated after the scan x

Does anyone else feel like time is not moving? I just want to get to 12 weeks and officially be in the 2nd trimester & relax a bit, but it's a whole 4 weeks away :(

justanotherlaura · 25/03/2022 11:29

@ThinkingDifferent yes and no, I found out at 3+1 and I'm 9 weeks today so that's felt quite quick but I'm desperate to get to my 12 week scan and hopefully get less symptoms, I'm so done with the nausea

God, yes, I have around a month to go for 12 weeks too and the days are going so slow!

Hi @Lemonbell, sorry you're going through this stressful time. Some solidarity in that I'm also going through it too. Had some light brown mucus/spotting since yesterday afternoon. Not got any worse, but not going either which is just stressing me out. I'm 8 weeks, and had something similar at 5 weeks, but it was literally one episode then nothing, this just isn't going away!

That's great that your GP was so proactive, I went to mine at 5 weeks and they basically just said it's common and wait and see. Sorry to put a downer on everything but I have had a miscarriage and this is how it started, so the whole 'brown blood is fine' really doesn't help me!

Really hope it eases off for you x

Sorry to hear that @Lemonbell :( When the EPU arranged my scan it was within three days of the call so hopefully yours will be quick.

My brown spotting lasted nine days then stopped and I think the progesterone they put me on helped with that.

Sorry itโ€™s happening to you too @theblueflowers :(

AbbiL0u · 25/03/2022 21:12

Hi all, so sorry to hear about your stressful times with spotting and mucus! I still have it too, and have done on and off for nearly 2 weeks now, but the EPU said everything looks fine and to try not to worry if it stays brown - I hope thatโ€™s the case for you guys too and you get answers ASAP because the worry/limbo is horrific!

@TheBirdintheCave sorry itโ€™s taken me so long to reply, I see youโ€™ve had red spotting since your last message? :( how is it now? Did you get through to EPU? Itโ€™s so stressful, I really hope youโ€™re okay!

TheBirdintheCave · 26/03/2022 08:42

@AbbiL0u Seems it was from my cervix as it was literally just that one time and then stopped ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ It happened again this morning and hopefully it will have stopped now. The common denominator seems to be when I strain a little for number twos ๐Ÿ˜‚ Fingers crossed thatโ€™s all it is. It seems the most logical answer ๐Ÿ˜…

AbbiL0u · 26/03/2022 09:02

@TheBirdintheCave Ooooh that sounds positive then!! Everything crossed :)

Annny27 · 26/03/2022 15:19

@lemonbell wishing you luck!!

@thebirdinthecave your might just have a sensitive cervix! Keeping fingers crossed for you

P.s had a scan at 9 weeks is today and all looked good and could see baby moving it's arms and legs. Was wonderful ๐Ÿ’—

Annny27 · 26/03/2022 15:19

9 weeks ish*
