I donโ€™t know when Iโ€™m due, Iโ€™ve not had a period since DS was born but I got 1-2 weeks on a Clearblue digi this morning which puts me sometime late October or early November (I think!)
Feels like Iโ€™m too far behind the October group but too early for a November oneโ€ฆ anyone due a similar time and want to join me? Would love to have some company ๐Ÿ˜Š

Hi ladies
Hoping to join this lovely group. Trying for 2 months and conceived with expected due date 8th November. This is my first ever pregnancy and Iโ€™m so anxious Iโ€™ve booked an early scan at 7 weeks.. my brain always goes to worst case scenario :( around the time when my period was due I was getting cramps and back pain but these seemed to have settled now if thatโ€™s normal?!
Also I need to stop testing like a mad woman itโ€™s costing me a fortune lol!
Hope you are all well and we get nice healthy pregnancies.

Coastaldreamer · 03/03/2022 17:18

Thanks all

@Foxella the anxiety is unreal! This is round two for us as we have DD who will be 2 in may. I somehow forgot about all the anxiety from last time! Am booking in for private scan around 8-9 weeks so hopefully can keep positive till then!

Hope everyone is getting on ok x

Foxella · 03/03/2022 18:19

@JenniferR2021 thatโ€™s exciting! Itโ€™s nice to feel itโ€™s official and youโ€™re in the system!

@Emma543 welcome and congratulations ๐Ÿ˜Š definitely normal to feel anxious, at least youโ€™re in good company! The cramps that settle are definitely normalโ€ฆ I think pretty much all symptoms can come and go at random over the coming weeks which is really unhelpful and makes the anxiety worse! But it seems like weโ€™ve got a great group from so many backgrounds so plenty of support ๐Ÿ˜Š

@Coastaldreamer definitely not easier then second time is it?! I thought Iโ€™d be far more chilled, the difference this time is having less time for googling as DS keeps me so busy! it feels totally surreal that thereโ€™s another little person sort of like him on the way tho ๐Ÿ˜‚

Ano I only called them yesterday as I was 61/2 weeks to let them.know I was pregnant hopefully this one goes ok as I had miscarriage at 10 weeks in November

Bramblecrumble21 · 03/03/2022 19:37

My symptoms are minimal. I've allready told work as I have occupational risks which are highest in the first trimester. I only told a few people who directly work with, but it's got out to everyone. At lunch today someone asked me if I was feeling sick. I said no, I'm only 4 weeks. They said oh, you look like you have a bump allready....I laughed and said, no that's been there for months.
I feel bloated and windy plus have a more sensitive smell. Otherwise perfectly normal.

Hi Emma, I had the exact same cramping for about 7 days when my period should have been. Itโ€™s also eased off now but I use a hot water bottle of I get any cramping and thatโ€™s been helping. A lot of people have said they had the same so Iโ€™m hoping itโ€™s just normal but it doesnโ€™t ease the anxiety does it? Iโ€™ll also be having a 7 week scan so I can hopefully stop feeling so anxious ๐Ÿ˜ฌ
Bramblecrumble21 · 03/03/2022 21:01

I also had back pain and cramps.

TheBirdintheCave · 04/03/2022 06:58

Augh after having barely any sickness yesterday Iโ€™ve woken up this morning feeling nearly normal ๐Ÿ˜ญ Iโ€™ve still held off testing (havenโ€™t done one since Tuesday) as I canโ€™t face seeing the line get lighter ๐Ÿ˜ญ

TheBirdintheCave · 04/03/2022 08:53

Ok maybe jumped the gun a little bit there. My boobs still hurt and I retched a few times downstairs so I guess I do still have some symptoms it's just that the background nausea feeling isn't really there Confused

Sounds stupid but I'm so desperate to be as ill as I was with my son just so I can be sure that the baby is still there Sad

xreadytoglow · 04/03/2022 09:16

@TheBirdintheCave I'm sure everything is still fine, but I know what you mean about feeling sicker so that we feel more reassured! Funny isn't it. I also feel a lot better than I did a couple of days ago but still got a line the same strength as the control this morning. I'm sure it's all fine โค๏ธ

So I called my clinic today because today is my official test day. I'm booked in for a scan on the 23rd where I'll be 7+1. This was different to what my app was telling me, so she explained that because the blastocyst is 5 days old at transfer, I am 5 days further than my LMP.

So my new EDD is the 8th of November ๐Ÿ˜Š! Just counting down the days until scan day now... just under 3 weeks away

TheBirdintheCave · 04/03/2022 09:37

Caved and did a test on a 2.5 hour hold with moderately diluted wee and the line is ok :) It's about 3/4 the strength of the control but is darker than my FMU line from four days ago so I guess that's good? :/ I feel slightly more at ease I think.

@xreadytoglow You must be so excited :D Also, how great to find out you're five days further on than you think! :) I hope the time goes quickly for you.

detachablehoof · 04/03/2022 10:48

@TheBirdintheCave nausea isn't necessarily a symptom of a healthy pregnancy! I have the Emily Oster "expecting better" book and she says that women who are not nauseous are less likely to miscarry than those who are.

No idea if that will provide you with any reassurance. I'm sorry you are struggling so much. Been lurking on this thread for a while (EDD 6 Nov)

xreadytoglow · 04/03/2022 12:51

@TheBirdintheCave yes I definitely feel better than I'm further than I thought. Just got to keep going out of the major 'danger zone' .. although no doubt will worry throughout. That's just normal isn't it! ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Glad that your test reassured you. That sounds like great like progression x

xreadytoglow · 04/03/2022 12:51

Annny27 · 04/03/2022 13:38

@thebirdinthecave I am the same, some retching, some nausea but nothing too bad! 6 weeks today so still time for it to get worse haha

Bringonbaby3 · 04/03/2022 14:26

Sorry to hear about those experiencing anxiety! I think itโ€™s pretty normal at this stage. Iโ€™m similarly anxious. Currently 6+3 and have a scan booked in for tomorrow and feel like Iโ€™m counting down the hours. I keep waking up super early in the morning (like 4am!). Not sure if itโ€™s my anxiety or the hormones.

I have some nausea but itโ€™s more a weird feeling of like hunger but not wanting to eat anything. I feel much worse when I havenโ€™t eaten though and did feel like I was going to vomit when I took my vitamins on an empty stomach. I made a green tea the other day and couldnโ€™t have more than 2 sips as felt I was going to be sick.

My husbands finally back tonight (after leaving me with 2 young children all week!). Iโ€™m knackered as work is super busy and Iโ€™m not sleeping! Bring on my scan and the weekend alreadyโ€ฆ

kmbegs · 04/03/2022 14:41

@Bringonbaby3 please let us know how the scan goes! I go on holiday when I'll be 6+4 and back at 8 weeks, would have loved a scan before I go but worried it won't show enough to comfort me and might worry me more. So would appreciate knowing how yours goes. And sorry you're having such a tough time. I am the exact same, wide awake at 4am every morning and then feeling horrid all day, but the same thing happens again. I'll take whatever pregnancy throws at me though - feel so lucky to be here.

@detachablehoof I actually think it's the opposite, if you Google miscarriage and nausea it shows that it does greatly reduce the risk. Although not like Google has never been wrong! But my midwife friend pointed that out to me and sent me some articles and I found it reassuring.

Bramblecrumble21 · 04/03/2022 15:18

My quick Google search. A 1989 article studying a group of 908 women 'women with nausea but no vomiting had a miscarriage risk equal to that in the sample overall. Among the subsample of women with signs of threatened miscarriage, those who had experienced vomiting had a decreased risk of miscarriage' so only if you actually vomit is it a reasurance ๐Ÿคฃ.

kmbegs · 04/03/2022 15:26

Oh funny Google must show up different for everyone, which figures I guess. Top result for me is this article which is Harvard from 2016

misslahx · 04/03/2022 15:42

Hello ladies, little update from me.

Current 5 weeks 6 days today and my boobs are so so sore. They feel like two watermelons sitting on my chest. Morning sickness is still there and I also am getting car sickness too. The sickness is reassuring me. I am soo tired and exhausted and called in sick to work today because I needed a mental health day and simply needed the rest. I did feel bad for calling in sick today though.

I am also with you guys on waking up super early , I wake up at 5am and struggle to get back to sleep and when I do I'm awake again at 8.

I have also experienced some cramping that I'm not too worried about today as it isn't severe but I can feel it's there. I just want everything to go to plan so badly.

I also am from the UK close to London and I am 20โ˜บ๏ธ

Hope you are all having a lovely and healthy day xxx

DM1720 · 04/03/2022 17:22

@Bringonbaby3 ooh do let us know how your scan goes. I have one at 6+4 too but thatโ€™s not for another 10 days โ€ฆ the waiting is unbearable! But trying to keep myself busy. Hope your scan goes well.

@TheBirdintheCave good to hear you sounding more hopeful. A stronger line is always a good sign!
I did a clear blue digital today with the weeks indicator and itโ€™s gone to 3+ weeks so Iโ€™m delighted with that. Still fairly mild on the symptoms front but that 3+ means my hcg must be over 2700 or something so I know itโ€™s gone up! Ive bloods for hcg being done next week so hopefully they will confirm things are going in the right direction! And then scan the following week. Every little step gives hope!

At what stage would you go and get checked out with an ache on and off in your right side? No bleeding or spotting. The pain is like ovulation pain that I get and it comes and goes. Itโ€™s strange. Do you think a scan would even see anything?! Im 5 weeks today!

TheBirdintheCave · 04/03/2022 17:50

@DM1720 Ooh I didnโ€™t know that the weeks indicator was tied to a HCG number. Maybe Iโ€™ll depress myself with one of those this weekend ๐Ÿ˜‚

DM1720 · 04/03/2022 18:03

@TheBirdintheCave
Yes it says on the clear blue website. Thereโ€™s a minimum it has to reach to make it turn a certain number.
1-2 weeks - 10
2-3 weeks - 153
3+ weeks - 2753
So last Friday mine said 2-3 and today at 5 weeks exactly it says 3+ so bang on. Not sure how reliable it is but it has to mean something!
In jan when I had a chemical. I tried one at 5 +2 weeks and it said Not Pregnant and I started bleeding that day. Theyโ€™re pretty accurate I find.

TheBirdintheCave · 04/03/2022 18:35

Interesting! I last used one the day I got a strong positive with my son (FRER almost as dark as the control) but it only said 1-2 weeks. The FRER control line must have been less than 153 in early 2020 ๐Ÿค” Seems like itโ€™s so much higher now. Either that or my numbers are so low this time round. 2022 FRER was barely showing anything when the ClearBlue digi with a lower limit of 10 registered positive
๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ˜ข Just utterly confused.

DM1720 · 04/03/2022 19:11

I think comparing across brands is always going to cause confusion! But donโ€™t think he digital along the way has helped settle my nerves a little. Especially as symptoms are still a bit inconsistent!
