Does anyone have a little bump of a bump yet? Or is it all just bloating at this stage, I’m 9 weeks 4 days. With my son I got a bump at 12 weeks but I was smaller frame back then x

CLC22 · 06/02/2022 07:39

Little bit of a bump* sorry x

girafferafferaffe · 06/02/2022 08:05

I was already fat (size 16) so I just look fatter which is unfortunate!

annlee3817 · 06/02/2022 08:08

@CLC22 yep, I seem to have the same bump that I had at 15 weeks last time, I know it's probably bloat, but the say everything stretches much quicker with subsequent

I also now just look really fat!
Dreamer30 · 06/02/2022 08:55

Also part of the fat looking club 🤣 with my daughter I never even had a bump at 24 weeks, I popped at 7 months lol. Now that I'm older and wider (not wiser😅) I've no idea when I'll show. Can definitely see me getting put on some sort of diet programme by the midwife lol

TotoAnnihiliation · 06/02/2022 09:02

I'm a good 2 stone heavier than when I had DD and I wasn't exactly a slender minx then. I've actually lost weight since finding out I was as pregnant because of the severe food aversions. As a result, my fat has redistributed itself - my thighs are huge and I had to buy new knickers to accommodate this,my tummy fat looks more bump shaped!

Belle2210 · 06/02/2022 09:40

@Hopeforarainbow27 It'd been like this for me over the past couple of weeks. Got a scan yesterday and everything is great.

Hopingforarainbow27 · 06/02/2022 09:52

@Belle2210 thanks for getting back to me, I've had two miscarriages so naturally I've been worrying. I've woke up today and don't really feel sick at all

girafferafferaffe · 06/02/2022 10:19

How far are you rainbow? I'm 9+3 and starting to feel a bit better

Hopingforarainbow27 · 06/02/2022 10:25

@girafferafferaffe 7weeks 2 days 😒

Purplerain1144 · 06/02/2022 10:37

9 weeks today! Baby is now a foetus and not just an embryo. Anyone else due 10th as well?? Xx

Isonthecase · 06/02/2022 12:24

Yeah, the bloating seems to go up and down! I started feeling much better around 10 weeks but massive improvement from 9 and back in my jeans (they're a bit tighter though). For me my stomach is fairly normal in the morning then proper bump by the evening if I've eaten carbs, vegetables, or food in general really 🤣

Billymay · 06/02/2022 12:48

Yea I’m bloated but think that’s because I’m eating so much white bread. Also who ever mentioned coronation chicken… thank you! Was a delight to eat ☺️

I completely understand how you feel. I had a MMC before my daughter and I'm unable to relax in pregnancy. I'm panicking because I feel slightly better although still pretty awful. I'm 7+4. I'm visiting my best friend and have had to come for a line down in her bed because I feel so weak!

monkeyjocks · 06/02/2022 13:22

@Purplerain1144 me! Happy 9 weeks to us! SmileFlowers

Yay! How are you feeling

surprised12 · 06/02/2022 18:04

Hope you're all doing well this weekend.

I wish wish wish my appetite would decide what it wants to do!!
Some days I don't want to eat anything - other days I can't stop!

This is what I've ate today....
bagel with Philadelphia
Strawberries
Pineapple
Muller corner yoghurt
2 x bags of crisps
A pizza with extra mushrooms, peppers and sweetcorn,
A pot noodle
And some peanuts .....

Ordering a take out tonight too! Anyone else binge eating like me? I have to add - I ate one of the bags of crisps in secret and hid the evidence!!!

girafferafferaffe · 06/02/2022 18:09

Sounds delicious!! I spent most of my day hungry as was at a kids birthday party. Ate cereal for breakfast. A bit of half eaten cake for lunch and the chips she didn't eat. A few cheese and crackers. And then got the chicken Big Mac for dinner as was done in.

holdonbaby · 06/02/2022 18:30

Hi everyone, lovely to see all your scan pics and hear of those little heartbeats! ❤️

Please can I ask your advice as you're all at a similar stage to me.

I've had no symptoms so will be booking an early private scan. However the dates I can do I'll be either
7w 6d or
8w 4d according to LMP, ovulation would put me 3 days later so 7w 3d or 8w 1d.

My issue is the scanning place (only one nearby at 1 hour away) says you have to be at least 7 weeks as they can't see anything before then and you have to sign to acknowledge there is no second scan unless you pay more.

We are having the harmony at 10/11 weeks at £450 so can't afford a second early scan- shouldn't be having this one but I'm anxious about baby being ok as I've had zero symptoms and bleeding every day. MWU don't want to know unless I'm going through several pads a day and it's bright red (it's not).

I'm desperate to see baby I really need reassurance but don't want to be told sorry nothing can be seen but thanks for your money!!

WWYD?

YouBoggleMyMind · 06/02/2022 18:36

@holdonbaby I had a scan today at 7+3 by ovulation date and was told I was 7+2. You could see baby first off as an abdominal scan and we then swapped to internal to get a clear picture. You can defo see something at 7 weeks by either method but the scan was clearer using an internal scan.

I've felt so rough today, afternoon in bed, feel like I'm failing as a Mum as not done anything with DD today, she's been so good about it though bless her. Umming and ahhing about what to have for dinner, don't really fancy anything, may just have a bowl of Cheerios

OP posts:
annlee3817 · 06/02/2022 18:43

@YouBoggleMyMind congrats on the scan :)

@holdonbaby I waited until 8 weeks to have the private scan just in case, like you we've got the NIPT test booked privately (tomorrow) so didn't want to be paying out for too many. I remember when booking in my last pregnancy them saying that 8 weeks was a good point to get it.

I can't comment on earlier as never had an earlier scan.

YouBoggleMyMind · 06/02/2022 18:50

Thank you @annlee3817 it's been a very anxious wait but delighted to see baby all ok today. Also contemplating a NIPT at 10/11 weeks. The place we went to for our scan today does the IONA NIPT.

Most private scan places will see you from 6 weeks for a viability scan with the aim of seeing a heartbeat, so the fact that this place is waiting until 7 weeks, you should be fine at any of those dates you've mentioned @holdonbaby

annlee3817 · 06/02/2022 18:53

@YouBoggleMyMind I've not heard of the Iona NIPT, think mine is just a standard one, only one place near us that does it. I feel apprehensive about the results, but looking forward to seeing the little bean again :)
