@RoseValleyRambles So pleased to hear all is ok, good to get yourself checked. Hope the cramps have calmed down today?

@MadamMaltesers So lovely to hear from you again. So sorry that it's been really hard. Please take all the time you need to feel how you feel, and do the things that make you feel better. DH & I did a little ceremony for our twins in the woods with rose petals and it helped a little. Thinking of you ❤️

@Pandamama88 Oh love I'm so sorry to hear this what upsetting news for you. It is so good that it's treatable but I'm sure you're just feeling so upset right now, we just so wish and wish all will be well with our babies dont we. I hope you can have the time and space to process. You are her mummy and you are the absolute best person to help her through this.

@Turniptracker Gender grief definitely can be painful. It's the loss of an imagined child and life with them. Take time to process and also know when you hold your little boy in your arms you with love him so much it hurts

RoseValleyRambles · 25/01/2022 14:58

@prema112 still feeling yucky, but at least it's just yucky and not worried and yucky! Should hear tomorrow/ Thursday if it's an infection, otherwise may just be fibroid-enhanced growing pains.

Prema112 · 25/01/2022 15:03

@RoseValleyRambles Worried and yucky is definitely worse but sorry to hear you feel bad. Will they put you on antibiotics if there's an infection?

Pandamama88 · 25/01/2022 15:09

Thank you all for the kind words and wishes. Xx

They will, yes. They're just culturing a swab to see if that's the problem and identify the right treatment if so. Hoping I'll hear tomorrow.

Prema112 · 25/01/2022 15:50

@CurryandSnuggle Yes I still worry about perceived lack of movement. Today I feel like his movements are weaker but I think it's still too early for anything to be reliable

MadamMaltesers · 25/01/2022 16:20

Thank you all for your kind words, really means a lot. All the best.

Clueless22 · 25/01/2022 16:30

@MadamMaltesers I'm so sorry for your loss and I know there is nothing I could say to make the pain any less. Miscarriage is an awful experience to have to go through and you should allow yourself all the time you need to grieve. Have you reached out to the miscarriage association as offered incredible support to me when I went through similar. Sending you big hugs and thinking of you at this very difficult time x

@Pandamama88 I was sorry to read your news, at least its been detected early and is treatable although the start of your daughters journey into this world will be slightly different to how you had hoped and I understand this must be hard. Lots of virtual hugs xx

CurryandSnuggle · 25/01/2022 16:53

@DaimDillyDoo yes to leaky boobs 😳

CurryandSnuggle · 25/01/2022 16:56

@Prema112 I think you’re right, they’re still so small meaning we won’t feel every time they move. Depends on their position I guess.

Alsooo I just noticed you said “his” movements, I missed your scan update, so you’re having a boy?! 😍 congratulations xx

Imhereforthecake · 25/01/2022 16:58

Has anyone else just had enough of working?
I'm only 20 weeks but I'm so over work. I'm just so tired!

pregnancydiaries · 25/01/2022 17:11

19 weeks @Imhereforthecake and totally on board with this...my partner keeps saying "only 127 days until mat leave", I don't think I can handle another 7 😂

Imhereforthecake · 25/01/2022 17:22

@pregnancydiaries glad it's not just me. I just want to hibernate!!

PeeAche · 25/01/2022 17:24

@Imhereforthecake I called in sick yesterday and I'm not even sick.

I haven't done that since I pulled a sickie to go to Alton Towers with a boy I fancied... 16 years ago!!

I know it's really bad. But I never have sick days and... I just felt like it. I hate working at the moment. All I want to do is sit quietly, feel my baby and look at baby things I can't afford / can't be arsed to actually do on Pinterest. 😳

Feeling pretty ashamed of myself.

+1 for the work lethargy. I've barely done a thing in a week. Tired and not able to focus, to be fair I had this on and off the year before I got pregnant too. Haven't figured out whether it's peri-menopause, long covid or just being fed up of work Confused

Prema112 · 25/01/2022 17:32

@CurryandSnuggle Yes! We are having another little boy! I was so sure he was a girl so it's taken a bit of readjustment but I'm so excited for another boy and so pleased my older son gets a brother 😍 I was just imagining today standing between them when they are all tall and grown up!

Prema112 · 25/01/2022 17:32

Yep also really struggling with work. It's not the same as first trimester awfulness but I'm just tired, achey, unproductive...

DaimDillyDoo · 25/01/2022 17:36

Another one here that also can't be arsed.

I'm a HR Manager and I've used a few excuses to work from home because I just cannot be fucked with it. The commute. The hours. The projects. The moaners.

I also just want to stay in my lovely new house, organise everything, decorate her nursery and rub my belly Grin

rathernotshare · 25/01/2022 18:17

My work is currently trying to give me a formal warning for an absence that I have a GP note saying is 'pregnancy related'... I know it's illegal but HR literally advised me to 'take it on the chin' 🤷‍♀️ literally been through hell and back and still only had 3 weeks off

Rolledthedice · 25/01/2022 18:19

Yeah I’m with you all on the “can’t be arsed to work” front. All my motivation and energy is gone by 3pm.

Lol @DaimDillyDoo if only you could sit at home and do that instead. 😂

Is anyone else getting their 20 week scan tomorrow? I’m going to distract myself with lots of episodes of The Good Fight. 😅

Imhereforthecake · 25/01/2022 18:35

@PeeAche yes! All the internet pretend shopping!

DaimDillyDoo · 25/01/2022 18:40

I haven't been offered a whooping cough vaccination. When do you usually get offered them? My 20 week scan was about 2 weeks ago now!

rathernotshare · 25/01/2022 18:52

@DaimDillyDoo I just called my GP and booked in, had flu and whooping cough done today 🙂

jennixxx · 25/01/2022 18:54

@DaimDillyDoo I had my whooping cough vaccination today at my 20 week scan xx

DaimDillyDoo · 25/01/2022 18:55

@rathernotshare That's terrible. Is it your manager that's given you the warning? Any illness related to pregnancy is discounted under absence management policies where a disciplinary can occur as a result.

It sounds like they aren't up to date with their discrimination training!
