Discharged. Baby's heart beat is fine. Possible infection, so glad I came in. Relieved baby's ok!

InvisibleDragon · 24/01/2022 22:35

That's great news @RoseValleyRambles - really glad that everything is ok!

ChildOfFriday · 24/01/2022 22:49

Glad it's all ok @RoseValleyRambles Thanks

Rolledthedice · 24/01/2022 23:01

So pleased everything is ok @RoseValleyRambles! :)

AlbatrossSociety · 24/01/2022 23:03

@RoseValleyRambles glad all is okay with baby and hope you can get any infection or whatever causing the pain sorted quickly!

MrsNT · 24/01/2022 23:24

@clueless12 @aus12 do you know if the bottle pockets will fit dr brown bottles?

RoseValleyRambles · 24/01/2022 23:56

Thanks all. Now home and off to sleep. I was looking forward to a lazy Monday evening, but the best laid plans...

V thankfully for good maternity triage services tho. They were all lovely, despite it taking a bit of time to get seen.

PleaseSendNoodles · 25/01/2022 01:02

@MrsNT @aus12 @sunflower198 Thanks all - sounds like a worthwhile investment. I’ll check out Amazon and supermarkets.

@Flowerbug1994 I have one caffeinated Nespresso latte every day. After doing a bit of research I’ve decided I’m comfortable enough this is safe.

@czycoup I’m both struggling to keep up with the thread - and feel a bit lonely! I’m living alone til my husband returns from deployment in the summer so I don’t really have anyone to share my excitement and fears with 😔

PleaseSendNoodles · 25/01/2022 01:03

Oh and @RoseValleyRambles I’m glad all is well with you and babe, infection aside!

MadamMaltesers · 25/01/2022 06:47

Hi ladies,
Haven't been on here for a while. Not even sure why I'm coming on. I was due June 22nd 2022, but had a miscarriage at 8 weeks in November. I was so excited, but it wasn't meant to be and keep looking at how many weeks I would have been by now Sad. I think I would have been about 19 weeks. Its not my first miscarriage (third) so I don't know why this is affecting me more. Wish you all the best in your pregnancies x

PeeAche · 25/01/2022 08:36

Hi Madam Malteasers (I haven't tagged you, in case you don't want to see the thread again).

It's really good to hear from you again. ThanksI'm so sorry about your miscarriage and how it is affecting you this time. My second miscarriage affected me more deeply than any other and I couldn't understand why. There are forgetmenots growing in my garden, which were here when we bought the house; I didn't even plant them. But, they have become the place I go to think about my second miscarriage, which I just don't have with any of my other ones. I can't understand why that one stands out so much for me, even now.

Come by any time and tell us about your baby. I'm lighting a candle for them today and I will think of you both on June 19th.xxx Thanks

Argh I’m getting movement anxiety again. Anyone’s baby seem to have a mega active day then go mega quiet the next day? It keeps happening and inevitably on the quiet days I am so worried about it.

Not felt her yet this morning. I know I ought not to panic as this is not unusual for her as she’ll probably become most active this evening.

I have a posterior placenta so I can usually feel her very well when she does kick. I think she’s just a sleepyhead (this is my logical dude talking now), but it’s so worrying!!!

On the nice side I actually saw my bump moving slightly a couple of days ago and hubby & DS observed, DS was very excited 🥰

Pandamama88 · 25/01/2022 10:09

Hi everyone, I had a follow up scan after my 20 week scan. My little girl has bilateral talipes. We are upset and she will need physio, casts and a foot brace at night until she is 5. Fortunately the vast majority of cases are treatable and she will lead a normal life able to walk, run and play. It's just going to be hard for a while.

CurryandSnuggle · 25/01/2022 10:12

@MadamMaltesers I’m so sorry to read that. It’s totally normal to be upset, let yourself feel, but do seek help if it’s affecting you severely. Wishing you all the best for the future ❤️ I will say though, try to stop the urge to think about dates and how far you would have been though as it’s not going to be helpful for your mental health ❤️ Xx

CurryandSnuggle · 25/01/2022 10:14

@Pandamama88 so sorry to read that, it must have been a shock. The good news is that it is treatable and they’ve set your expectations now so you won’t have a shock later. I’m sure she’ll be a very happy little girl regardless ❤️

AlbatrossSociety · 25/01/2022 11:03

@Pandamama88 so hard to find out that your little girl will have to face some challenges in those early years. It must have been so hard to hear and completely natural to feel upset. I don't want to jump to reassuring or looking for silver linings, but I do feel certain that the joy that she will bring will far outshine the difficult moments.

Thinking of you MadamMaltesers.

@CurryandSnuggle I'm not even sure whether I've felt baby yet!! Think that helps me stay very calm about movements. I have heard that they tend to be quietest when we're awake and active and then have parties when we're trying to wind down so sounds like she's following that pattern!

RoseValleyRambles · 25/01/2022 12:15

@pandamama88 that must be really stressful to hear while she's still so little - I'm sorry. But you'll do a great job and it's something that can and will be sorted. And you have warning! It'll quickly become just another part of your routine with her. Hugs.

Clueless22 · 25/01/2022 12:42

@MrsNT I'm not sure what those bottles are and unfortunately there's no measurements on the tags 😕
I doubt this picture helps much does it?

@Pandamama88 So sorry to hear the news about your little one.

It isn't much consolation but, it's been discovered early (thanks to the amazing detections made possible by living in the future and having access to superb medical stuff) and so she has the best chance of having a healthy and happy recovery from this. Just 15 years ago, this would have been very different. She's not even Earth side yet and she's being looked after in the best way.xxx

@clueless22 no worries..ill see if its on the webpage..otherwise can always order and return

I have ordered the one @aus12 got from aldi. So will compare both and see.

Btw ladies aldi is selling chicco next to me sheets 2 pack for 14.99 .much cheaper than amazon or buying from the shops. I got a pack since even the non branded ones are like £8 each

fpeg · 25/01/2022 13:06

@Pandamama88 sorry to hear that there was an issue picked up. As the others have said at least it is treatable with what sounds like fairly minimal intervention. My best friend's first was born with hip dysplasia and had to go in a cast for 8 weeks. I remember she was so upset at the time, 12 years down the line she barely remembers it having been an issue.

Times like this I'm so grateful for our NHS, i remember the first time I went to the states and seeing adults with deformities we just don't see in this country because they get fixed in childhood. It really shocked me.

Hope you are feeling ok xxx

DaimDillyDoo · 25/01/2022 13:50

@MadamMaltesers Sending you love. Not much more I can say that would help

@Pandamama88 I bet that was a shock but at least it's treatable. Smile

I've just had a big order of H&M baby clothes. I've ordered our Moses basket but I need to order the stand. Are they all universal stands? The seller on Etsy didn't sell the stand with Blush

Is anyone else getting leaky boobs already?!

Turniptracker · 25/01/2022 14:07

Found out I'm having a boy. Gender grief is really painful, having to mourn the loss of the daughter I will never get to meet. I didn't think I cared that much but I haven't stopped crying yet.
@Pandamama88 so sorry to hear your news but glad it is treatable

destiEos · 25/01/2022 14:17

@MadamMaltesers I'm so sorry, I hope you're getting some comfort from your friends and family. Thank you for your well wishes and good luck in the future

@Pandamama88 that must be hard to hear, glad to hear it seems very treatable though. As @fpeg says, hopefully one day it will be a distant memory.
