@InvisibleDragon Pivot! PIVOT!!

Flowerbug1994 · 24/01/2022 10:07

@Lostintranslatio no the sonographer didn’t mention it she only said do you have a GTT booked I said yes for March at 28 weeks. And she then just noted on my report AC plotting above 97th centile states GTT booked for March. So I started googling which is never good and now I am going insane.

@InvisibleDragon I have read that and also that measurements can be a little off. He was wriggling about so much it was so hard for her to get the scan complete so am hoping it’s just an off measurement as he was going nuts in there.

Lostintranslatio · 24/01/2022 10:14

@Flowerbug1994 I would not worry too much about it. I was told I will also have to do the glucose test (I guess because of my age) but where I am from the GTT is mandatory for all pregnancies.

Hi, dipping into the thread again. I can't keep up!

Lovely to hear about all the good scans going on. I have mine soon but I'm not seeing any midwives or anyone for a few months. I feel a bit on my own and lonely with it all. Anyone else?

Not feeling any kicks but I keep feeling like a my tummy is flipping like when on a rollercoaster crossed with being winded without actually being winded. Is this the baby? They definitely aren't flutters

Flowerbug1994 · 24/01/2022 10:59

@czycoup I’d say that would be the baby I’ve never had what people describe as flutter or butterfly’s my first few movements was like someone was turning my stomach. Then it turned into what felt like a deep stomach rumbling. Now it’s more little kicks a few times a day.

czycoup · 24/01/2022 11:00

Aww that's lovely! I'm getting really worried I'm not feeling much movement. I feel some but only if I'm concentrating and I'm wondering if I'm imagining it

aus12 · 24/01/2022 11:11

@MrsNT I bought a nappy bag on amazon & am hoping it’s ok. It’s a black/grey backpack as I wanted something my husband could use too. It’s called the Heyi Multifunction nappy bag if you wanted to google it. It arrives today so will let you know what it’s like.

MrsNT · 24/01/2022 12:09

@aus12 let me know if its any good

Olive60 · 24/01/2022 14:37

@czycoup yes! Saw my MW at 15weeks and was told I won't be seen again until 28weeks as its my 2nd baby! Seems rediculous as 1. I was last pregnant 11 years ago and 2. Every pregnancy is different! I dont like the big wait! I'm 18+1 and sure I felt something last night 4 kicks to the same area but nothing since so I'm doubting myself!

czycoup · 24/01/2022 14:40

@Olive60 yeah this is my second and I feel like I should know what I'm doing but it's a different hospital and different trust. What are you doing about the MATB1 form? Work need it about 24/25 weeks but I'm not seeing a midwife (or consultant as I'm consultant led) until 29 weeks (I can't make 28 weeks). Work have also increased maternity pay by double so I deffo don't want to miss out on that!

Olive60 · 24/01/2022 16:03

@czycoup Consultant led too! I'm going to have to call the gp I think, I know the midwifes there every Tuesday so ill have to ring and request it I think! My 20 week scan is on the 7th so I'll mention it there too!

Vimto1991 · 24/01/2022 16:37

@ALHCTPS it wasn’t me that mentioned bras but I am in desperate need so thank you for the tag regardless! The last two days I’ve had to squeeze into my old bras… well, DH had to help put them on 😅😅 he wasn’t complaining, though.

@Flowerbug1994 what % was the ab? Our baby had double the % for the abs (around 67%) and everything else was mid 30s. I think it’s quite normal for a bit of a bigger belly from what I can tell.

Also thanks everyone for the well wishes yesterday! Got myself a filling by 12pm today, very handy to not have to pay for dental work today! Baby even jumped when the sound of the blade started 🙈

ALHCTPS · 24/01/2022 16:43

@Vimto1991 yes, Beloved is very interested in my boobs right now too, but i can't bare for him to touch them they're so tender. I swear he comes towards me for a hug with his hands ready for a sneaky grope.

Vimto1991 · 24/01/2022 16:45

@ALHCTPS yeah I’m like this, too. Too sore to touch, and I think they’re too weird to look at so been shying away from him. 😂

hellointhere · 24/01/2022 16:53

Thank you for tagging me!

Congratulations to all who've had their 20 week scans. Mine isn't until Feb. I have really started to notice a bump the last couple of days, especially when I lay down. It's low, under my belly button, it almost feels like what I imagine having strong abs would feel like, it's firm.

Flowerbug1994 · 24/01/2022 17:56

@Vimto1991 they are the measurements with the percentile next to it according to an online calculator.

@MrsNT the bag came & I really like it. Has a section at the front with insulated bottle holders, a pocket on the side for where you place wipes. Not sure how to upload photos but I think it will be perfect. I know you can use any type of bag but we only have one backpack that my husband uses for work so would need to buy a new backpack anyway.

RoseValleyRambles · 24/01/2022 19:11

I'm in for a surprise antenatal ward visit after a day of cramps that paracetamol won't shift. Hoping it's just the results of doing a bit too much. Aargh.

Turniptracker · 24/01/2022 19:16

Oh no, hope you feel better soon @RoseValleyRambles and it's nothing serious!

Anyone else got a scan tomorrow? Excited to see who is inside the big belly of mine!

ChildOfFriday · 24/01/2022 19:16

@RoseValleyRambles- I hope everything is ok Thanks

ChildOfFriday · 24/01/2022 19:18

My scan is tomorrow as well @Turniptracker, but unfortunately I have to wait all the way until 4.15! I won't be able to concentrate at work all day. I'm both excited to see our little one again and anxious about everything being ok. Best of luck with yours too Smile
Whatcanmyusernamebe · 24/01/2022 19:30

@RoseValleyRambles hope all is well. So much to worry about before the babies even get here isn’t there.

RoseValleyRambles · 24/01/2022 19:43

Thanks guys. Hopefully it's just leaf blowing over exertion... And no, that's not a euphemism! Grin

Clueless22 · 24/01/2022 21:46

@MrsNT I picked up a great changing bag from Aldi today, really pleased with it, lightweight with lots of pockets and sections and a bargain at £19.99 😀

Rolledthedice · 24/01/2022 22:02

Thank you for the reassurance about the abdominal cramps @AlbatrossSociety and @RoseValleyRambles. They seem to have gone away now, I’m just very bloated at the moment - will try cutting out gluten again.

RoseValley, I hope your aches settle down and everything is ok. You’re probably right that it’s just over exertion from the leaf blowing! It’s amazing how easy it is to overdo things while we grow these tiny humans. I tend to go about my day/activities as if I’m my normal physical self and it’s only afterwards that I realise my muscles don’t agree with it!
