@BunBun221 aww thanks. Nobody has said anything about it yet - so that’s kind!

Where I’m living in the US there are quite a few prenatal yoga options BUT no NCT or Bump and Baby type classes, unfortunately. And no gas and air during labour! Guess you win some and lose some!

Annabell1 · 06/02/2022 00:07

@BunBun221 We should always remember what an incredible job our bodies are doing. Feel proud of yourself. Every woman, bump and baby is different. 💕

@PleaseSendNoodles You have a lovely bump as well. Pretty similar to mine in terms of size. It doesn't look very big yet, but I think it will grow quite a bit over the next few weeks.

Today I saw the first kicks and felt quite a lot of movement.. It's so fascinating, I'm completely in love ☺️

PleaseSendNoodles · 06/02/2022 00:24

@Annabell1 Thank you - that’s reassuring! The sonographer said it’s normal to be on the smaller side. She said it’s probably because I have a long torso or baby could be sitting further back.

And that’s amazing! Glad you’re getting to enjoy some movement!

Lostintranslatio · 06/02/2022 08:01

@PleaseSendNoodles I'm getting a belly like yours. At first I was worried (of course 😂) that it wasn't growing but OH told me than I'm tall and that's why I'm not showing a lot yet.

BTW, he feels a bit left out as he can't feel the baby yet 😂😂😂

Matilda30 · 06/02/2022 08:57

Had my 20 week scan, placenta is posterior which is a relief as I was worried about it being on the section scar. Baby was also really really low down, not sure what that means. We're having another boy which I'm really happy about. My son wanted a girl but he seems ok so far.

MrsTwentyNine · 06/02/2022 12:45

@CurryandSnuggle @BunBun221 ah I hope mine rounds out but don't think it will. Will have to wait and see! Currently just look very chubby 😩 Have to remember it's all about the little one being okay these next few months and not my image! 🤞🏽

pansytub · 06/02/2022 14:27

Hi ladies, I've been lurking for such a long time today - found out its a girl, due 11th June which I have to say was the news I wanted having a little boy already. So grateful to all of you for "keeping me company" so far on this journey and hopefully I'll post a little more frequently now it seems more real at last! I recently moved to Manchester and don't really know anyone so if someone due around the same time wanted to meet up I'd love that x

Qwerty2000 · 06/02/2022 15:20

Hi all. Is anybody else STILL nauseous and exhausted and headachy and has that horrible mouth taste?? I'm 22 weeks and enough is enough!! Everyone around me keeps saying oh you should be glowing and going on a babymoon now. I wouldn't wish this on anyone but I also sort of want to know i am not the only one who is really not enjoying pregnancy! I've really gone downhill again the past week and have randomly started crying over anything. I've felt horrendous for five months and just can't contemplate four more months. My partner is withdrawing from me saying I'm so ill that I need to just be alone and does not want to engage with me on anything. :-(

I'm due 11th June and live in Manchester too! Which hospital are you under?
Northofthebordermum · 06/02/2022 15:53

Oh no sorry to hear that @qwerty2000. I’ve been feeling pretty crap still at nearly 20 weeks. But your partner should be stepping up to look after you, not withdrawing! Is a stern talking to in order??

I tested positive for covid last night 😫 then woke in the night with belly pains and was terrified I was miscarrying. I think (Hope) it was just constipation/ trapped wind. But I’ve already had a stinking cold plus insomnia all week so feeling pretty sorry for myself right now.

Qwerty2000 · 06/02/2022 15:59

@Northofthebordermum Thanks for responding. I had very symptomatic covid over Christmas and it was rough - and also came with weeks of digestive pain and trapped air at night. But I've had two scans since and baby is bouncing around just fine, if that is any reassurance.

pansytub · 06/02/2022 18:10

Im under Oldham who were properly weird about the whole gender thing - wouldn't write it down luckily my sister is law was there and sat on the secret for a whole 2 weeks! Where are you? Fortunately my pregnancy so far has been straightforward so in principle not going back there now 🤞🤞🤞 how have you been finding pregnancy so far?

unknownscot · 06/02/2022 18:50

Hi everyone - I bought the cot today! Eeeek. I managed to get a £30 off referral code for mamas and papas which was good, and now I have one to share.
If anyone wants it now or in the future just let me know. It lasts a week and is £30 off a spend of £150 or more.

We went for the Dover cotbed 🥰

X

Olive60 · 06/02/2022 19:41

We went pram "window shopping" today to try and get a jist of what we want and its made me even more confused!
Love the Joolz which they didn't stock, But liked the look of Maxi Cosi Adorra Luxe, Mamas & papas Ocarro, Bugaboo fox & the Venicci & a nuna one...so it's got me no where!

Northofthebordermum · 06/02/2022 19:57

That does make me feel better- thank you so much! Just really want my second scan now…

Clueless22 · 06/02/2022 20:26

@olive60 we have our eye on the nuna x

unknownscot · 06/02/2022 20:37

@Olive60
We've chosen the Oyster3.

Best thing to do is try them all, folding them, changing the seat position etc and see what works for you both.

MrsTwentyNine · 06/02/2022 20:44

@Northofthebordermum is it worth popping into your hosp just to get it checked out as you mentioned belly pain? Hope you feel better soon!

I don't have a cot on my list of things to buy as not having a nursery ...that's okay right ? Or do people consider chicco next to me as a cot ? Can you tell how clueless I am about these things ...

unknownscot · 06/02/2022 20:51

@MrsTwentyNine
We have a next2me second hand from my sister in law but have bought the cot for once the baby is in its own room.

GrowBabyGrow · 06/02/2022 20:53

@Olive60 I loved pram shopping! We ended up doing 3 trips to different places to try out different ones and narrow it down. Agree with @unknownscot it's good to try them out and see how you get on with folding etc. I found just pushing them round the shop helpful too as some (like the icandy) I just hated the feel of. It's a very personal choice I think.

We've gone for the uppababy vista - not to add yet another into the mix but it's a good one if you do lots of walking and need something that works on different terrains. It is on the heavier side though.

Littlemilomoo · 06/02/2022 21:36

@unknownscot we are also picking a Oyster 3! Going next Saturday to pre order it, it’s so exciting ! 😁

rathernotshare · 06/02/2022 21:44

@Olive60 we have gone for the ocarro, put a deposit down in the shop but it's not coming for a couple of months yet. I believe if you order in store rather than online you get £150 mamas and papas voucher when it's delivered 🙂

JAR1981 · 06/02/2022 21:48

Ooo pram shopping. We are also going with the Uppababy Vista as need something good for the countryside and loved the fact that the lie flat pram/carrycot is one of the few approved for overnight sleeping so it will double up as a daytime sleep space downstairs and means we don’t need to take both a pram and separate moses basket/crib when we travel.

mrkb · 06/02/2022 22:09

Also going for the uppababy vista based on chatting to friends who highly recommend - the basket is huge and it's good for lots of terrains but isn't too hard to fold away. Also baby can sleep in the carrycot so one less thing to buy/worry about if we're staying away!

@MrsTwentyNine we also aren't having a nursery (mostly because we live in a 1 bed flat!). I think we are going to go for the snuzpod 4 - again good reviews from friends but I particularly like that the crib detaches from the stand so don't need to get a separate bassinet/Moses basket.

If anyone else has any space saving recommendations please share as I'm trying to convince myself we don't need to immediately move house just because a baby is arriving!!

pregnancydiaries · 07/02/2022 02:46

Waking up in the middle of the night, every night is so fun....right ladies 😂😩😩😩
