@PeeAche yes I had one yesterday little girl we tossed a coin to decide whether to find out 😂 the last few days wait is the worst hope yours goes well 😊 xx

DaimDillyDoo · 01/02/2022 13:53

I don't know if I've posted my 20 week scan or not, it was about 3 weeks ago now... I'm actually due in May but as we know the exact moment we conceived pretty much (fertility treatment) it can't possibly work out to be those dates.

Baby girl was sucking her thumb and the pic was taken just as she was moving her thumb towards her face Grin

@PeeAche I'm Monday too. Can't wait!

Lostintranslatio · 01/02/2022 14:17

@GrowBabyGrow we are going for a week to the Canary Islands at 23weeks. Can't wait!

We are in February already! 16 days to my 20 weeks scan 😍

“My round ligament pain is now so bad, I have bought a "belly bra". I have never felt like less of a sexual being in my life.”

@PeeAche omg where did you get this from please? I’m really struggling with walking our cockerpoo pup (Milo, hense the user name) Not exactly a big heavy dog but he’s 10months old and pulls like a trooper which really takes its toll on me. Feels like intense stitch pain but only round the bottom of my bump so I know it’s round ligament but omg the pain!! I don’t want to have to stop walking just yet as it’s only CV exercise left that I can just about manage :( and DP will have to take over all the dog walks soon so I dont want to have to bail on this any earlier than I need to.

Any recommendations for bump supports very much appreciated.

Also those of you with pets, what are you plans introducing our new bundle of joys to our little fur babies ?

needarainbow · 01/02/2022 14:41

Hi ladies. Just wanted to say that I love catching up with this thread. I'm in awe of how organised and informed you all are! I have clearly lost my mind and undertaken a huge renovation and extension at 5 months pregnant and am currently living in a building site. Who's smart idea was that? 😂 Hope this baby is pretty hardy cause its flipping freezing! So whilst I'm not at the stage of buying things and decorating the nursery (mainly because our nursery has no walls yet 🤦‍♀️) I am squirreling away all this great information you're giving for a later time! Have my 20week scan tomorrow so I'm super excited and a bit nervous, even though we aren't finding out what we're having!

needarainbow · 01/02/2022 14:43

@Littlemilomoo I'm looking forward to hearing some ideas about pet introductions as well! As per usual it hadn't crossed my mind 🤦‍♀️

MrsNT · 01/02/2022 14:53

@clomid1 ah ok .phew..mine is slightly lower than urs but gives me relief as I got worried even though it says normal on everything.

Clomid1 · 01/02/2022 15:05

@MrsNT what is yours? Mine according to the baby centre app is more in line with 21 weeks. The baby centre app has 10.6oz about 300g for 20 weeks. But I think we’re roughly around the right range

MrsNT · 01/02/2022 15:16

@clomid1 316g which i guess is ok as per the baby app range.

Clueless22 · 01/02/2022 16:04

Is it just me or does it seem that every bad news story regarding pregnancy and birth is finding its way into your eyeline at present. I'm beginning to think ill only use my phone for texts and messages like the old days. Yesterday someone had shown support for someone who had lost their baby due to a still birth on LinkedIn and then today Amanda Holden was in the Daily Mail marking the 11th anniversary of a still birth.
Seeing that article has ruined my day, had me in floods of tears and back to worrying like crazy again just as I was beginning to relax. I feel exhausted 😩

PeeAche · 01/02/2022 16:07

@Starbeach and @DaimDillyDoo two more girls! Eek. How exciting and gorgeous! Congratulations! (Daim, I have no idea if I've seen yours already. It's all becoming a bit of a blur now!)

@Littlemilomoo I got mine on Amazon. It's called a pregnancy support belt. I did also have a go with the "pregnancy bands" from H&M but they weren't the right thing for me.
I'll let you know how I get on with my gut strut.

I can't decide whether to paint my new baby's room in a "jungle" theme or "music" theme.

@Littlemilomoo @needarainbow

www.dogstrust.org.uk/help-advice/training/preparing-your-dog-for-a-new-baby is a good resource for preparing your pooch, You can also stream "sounds soothing" by dogs trust to get them used to sounds (a bit like fireworks) - m.soundcloud.com/dogstrust/sounds-soothing-baby-crying. Also on Instagram is "Dog meets baby" which is a really informative. They do lots of really good dog body language stuff in their posts and stories. instagram.com/dogmeets_baby?igshid=1xl2esbg69edz

If you are a reader, two recommended books are:
"How to tell your dog you're pregnant" by Dr Lewis Kirkman and "Babies, kids and dogs" by Melissa Fsllon and Vickie Davenport

I got this from my physio today.

@PeeAche @fpeg thanks so much

Speccybibliophile · 01/02/2022 17:09

Sorry I've not been able to post but checking in on the post every now and again has been lovely.

I've had a really stressful few months tbh with a whole load of family stresses going on. My mum has bipolar manic depression and had a relapse a couple of months ago that she still isn't quite over. There's a few other things going on too so quite upsetting overall.

On a positive note had my 20 week scan a couple of weeks ago and found out we are expecting a little baby boy! Baby is well and healthy. Another positive is that my HG has really cleared up with only mild nausea at the moment!

It honestly has been a lifeline to see everyone's updates here - lots of love and best wishes to you all!

Clueless22 · 01/02/2022 18:31

Have any of you ladies still nor felt any kicks? I think I've had the fluttering but I can't be sure as first baby so not certain whether it's that or wind!
I'm now 21 weeks and was quite relaxed about it all but read that by 24 weeks you should be feeling definite movement and its not that far off.
Read that playing music helps but nothing!?
Doesn't help that I'm having a bit of a down day of worrying x

Clueless22 · 01/02/2022 18:32

Not sorry not nor!
Also, have any of you noticed an increase in discharge?

GrowBabyGrow · 01/02/2022 18:36

I'm 19wks so a bit behind you but I haven't felt any kicks! I've had some potential fluttering but definitely in that 'is this wind' category.

I've had a clear increase in discharge in the past week or so though!

ChildOfFriday · 01/02/2022 18:48

@Clueless22 I'm also 21 weeks (+ 1 day Smile) and I wouldn't say I've felt movement that I could say was definitely the baby yet either. I've felt flutters that do seem to be getting more frequent, so hopefully it'll get clearer for us both over the next few weeks!

Clueless22 · 01/02/2022 18:51

Thanks @GrowBabyGrow and @ChildOfFriday, not sure what's wrong with me today, my brain starts working overtime and then start worrying about everything.
Glad there's still a few others still waiting for the kicks xx

needarainbow · 01/02/2022 18:53

@Clueless22 @ChildOfFriday I haven't felt any movements either and I'm 20+ 2. I got told I have an anterior placenta though so not expecting much until closer to 24 weeks! Try not to worry, I'm sure it'll come soon 😊

needarainbow · 01/02/2022 18:54

@fpeg thanks for the great resources! Definitely think we'll try playing some of the sounds as a starting point!

ChildOfFriday · 01/02/2022 19:02

Thanks @needarainbow Smile

Octoblockisadick · 01/02/2022 21:14

Had my 20 week scan, we're having a little boy! I'm so happy. They did say his abdomen measurement was a bit high, but they didn't seem worried at all. They just want me to have a growth scan at 32 weeks.
I feel huge though, is anyone else showing quite a lot?
