Also I got some essential like sleep suits from Morrison's and I really recommend the material are really good and very affordable nutmeg.morrisons.com/en/baby-body-suits?page=3

Hello @nikita22 😊 glad to hear all was ok!

Beautiful scan picture @Rolledthedice I think it's cute how snuggled up they are.

I'm so sorry for all those experiencing shoddy care, it's just horrible when you get someone in a caring role who seems to have lost their compassion for the job (and I think we've all met the odd one that never had it!). I've been fortunate so far in that for my pregnancy journey all the people I've met have been lovely, and I just hope you get better experiences going forward xxx

Just opened my app to see I've now got 17 weeks and 6 days to go... that really don't feel like a lot of time and I still have a kitchen and nursery to sort out 😬

EarlGreywithLemon · 27/01/2022 07:48

We had our twenty week scan yesterday- I say “we”, but our daughter was under the weather and off nursery so my husband stayed with her in the car while I went up for the scan. All OK, and little one is confirmed to be a boy. I didn’t have the whooping cough jab either, I think in the last pregnancy I had it at one of the later GP appointments, so I’ll make sure I have the same this time.
@MrsNT if you are unsure on sleeping bags vs swaddles, a few newborn sleeping bags do both - I.e. they have zips that allow you to tuck in the arms, or not, as you prefer. We had Grosnugs (now called Swaddle bags). Our daughter didn’t like being swaddled, so we just used it as a sleeping bag. The new baby will use hers, although I might get a 0.5 tog as well just in case (we have 1 tog and 2.5 tog as she is a winter baby).

@nikita22 Hi! My sister text me this morning about how nice the baby stuff is in Morrisons! Really trying to hold off buying anything for another 10 weeks as I know I'd buy everything!

Off to IKEA later for drawers for baby! Buying the ones that fit into the pax wardrobes. Had the same with my daughter and I love that you're adding storage but you can't see it!

aus12 · 27/01/2022 14:02

@yellowpinkbluegreen I’ve been looking into classes too as we don’t know many ppl in the area & are first time parents so everything is overwhelming. The bump & baby classes are already sold out for our area, the only spaces are in the July course! Looking at NCT but it’s a lot more expensive than bump & baby, does anyone know why?

caz198917 · 27/01/2022 14:40

Hi all!! I hope everyone is well!! Just catching up!! I'm 22 weeks today and feeling lots of movement even with my anterior placenta. Just a shout out to say if you don't mind 2nd hand get on Vinted! I've had lots of bargains on there recently. Xx

Olive60 · 27/01/2022 14:50

Anyone not just wearing black leggings!? I'm missing my skinny jeans now, feeling really dressed down and frumpy. Anyone got any good jeans suggestions?

PeeAche · 27/01/2022 15:02

@Olive60 I'm still in my normal jeans but I'm using an extender. I bought a packet of 3 on Amazon for a tenner and they're pretty good. But most days I just use a hairtie (looped through the button hole and over the button) To hide my flab, I'm using an H&M belly band. It's really comfortable.

The belly band + the maternity extenders have cost me a fraction of the price of just 1 pair of new jeans and I get to keep wearing my jeans. 🤷🏻‍♀️

@Olive60 were also going to have a look in IKEA for baby's room bits but I'm leaving that till last as still have to move 😩
I'm also in leggings atm as maternity jeans lare still too big and all my jeans are too small 🤦🏼‍♀️

EarlGreywithLemon · 27/01/2022 16:00

@Olive60 I have a pair of over the bump jeans from Verbaudet from my last pregnancy. I really like them, and actually wore them during maternity leave too, as it took me a long time to fit back into my old jeans!

Annabell1 · 27/01/2022 16:23

@Olive60 The Calzedonia Skinny jeans is really comfortable and soft. Comes in black and blue for £35.

@EarlGreywithLemon Congratulations, so good to hear your scan went well and you are having a little boy. 💙

mrkb · 27/01/2022 17:19

Is anyone doing NCT and baby & bump? I'd never heard of the latter before someone mentioned it and quite like that some of the sessions focus more on life with baby rather than just birth. I've already booked NCT but don't know if it's a bit much doing both? But I really don't know many people in the area and really like the sound of the social side of B&B!

Clomid1 · 27/01/2022 17:46

@MrsTwentyNine I still haven’t felt anything either. 19+5 was really hoping to feel something by now. How was your scan or is it tomorrow?

MrsTwentyNine · 27/01/2022 18:25

@Clomid1 don't worry - me neither and my scan today went well!! Bubbah was moving so much that they have booked me for a rescan as she couldn't see the heart chambers properly.

@PeeAche sorry you were treated so poorly - I have "couldn't visualise heart due to maternal habitual + pBMI" in my notes. Eg: mummy too fat for ultrasound 😂 Oh well! Nothing I can do now...

CurryandSnuggle · 27/01/2022 18:31

@nikita22 wow, thanks for the Morrison’s clothing link, never thought to buy from there and it’s such good value!

Ah me too, had scan today and they couldn't check all the heart measurements or see his face as his hands were covering his face the whole time! Back next Thursday for another scan 😊

Clomid1 · 27/01/2022 19:20

@MrsTwentyNine that’s a relief! Was it a boy or a girl?

Clomid1 · 27/01/2022 19:21

MrsNT · 27/01/2022 19:25

MrsNT · 27/01/2022 19:25

@aus12 i got the aldi changing bag today and looks quite good. Thanks for recomendation. Love that its not bulky or huge but big enough for essentials
Im going to order amazon one aswell to compare both

Clomid1 · 27/01/2022 19:28

@MrsNT look forward to logging in and seeing your scan update on Monday. So excited to find out what I am having. Are you finding out gender?

Vimto1991 · 27/01/2022 19:28

For the past two weeks I’ve had such strong kicks but they seem so much weaker the past two days. The kicks were always super low and now I’m wondering if baby has turned as I have anterior placenta so maybe they just don’t see as strong higher up. My midwife said I don’t have to monitor kicks until 28 weeks. 😱

Between not feeling baby as much and my thyroid consultant issue I’ve been a crying mess. Seriously spent the last two days crying. Hormones are all over the place. 😩

MrsNT · 27/01/2022 19:49

@clomid1 yes..shopping is easiar is u know what ur having

unknownscot · 27/01/2022 20:27

Can't remember who was looking for alternatives to leggings but H&M maternity is fab and a great sale on. I got loads today for like £4
