@Whatelsecouldibecalled I had my last one at 8 weeks and measured 7+4 and saw a tiny bean and heartbeat. Today's one is also at 8 weeks :)

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 22/01/2022 09:06

@annlee3817 what time is scan today? So should I book when I think I'm 8 weeks?

Billymay · 22/01/2022 09:21

Hope all goes well @annlee3817 xxx

annlee3817 · 22/01/2022 09:37

Scan is at 10.20

8 weeks felt right for me, but everyone is different, will let you know how it goes

MOLWI · 22/01/2022 09:49

@Whatelsecouldibecalled

If you have booked an early scan. How far along are you? I'm worried about booking too soon but also anxious. At my ivf clinic they wouldn't book h til after 7 weeks. But obviously with ivf I was certain with my dates. This time. We had sex twice and I was doing opk so I'm pretty certain with my dates?
I had mine last week at 6+5 because I'm impatient 😂 but so glad I did as I'm so much more relaxed now after seeing the heartbeat x
BlueSky57 · 22/01/2022 11:08

Hi everyone, just an update.

I ended up being at the hospital from 1.30-midnight yesterday. It was pretty horrific as they made me wait in A&E for bloods/blood pressure etc but I ended up being there 5 hours and they never even took blood. So when I got to the gynae ward they then had to do bloods and wait for results.

They ruled out appendicitis at least and think I might have had a stomach bug or undiagnosed ibs but they need to rule out ectopic. They were still waiting for my HCG blood test result at 11pm last night & wouldn’t do an early scan until my hcg was 1500? They let me go home & I had to ring this morning to find out and then if it was low I’d have to have more bloods on Sunday but if it was over 1500 I could book the early scan. My levels were high enough so they’ve booked me in for the scan to check for ectopic on Monday. Fingers crossed all will be ok Confused

petitlapin1 · 22/01/2022 11:27

Got my fingers crossed for you @BlueSky57. I'm waiting for my second HCG level- if I don't hear about it today then I'll be waiting till next week too. It seems like a very long time till Monday.

Having said that...
I'm 7+5 today. Last time I started bleeding today so it's another "marker" for me. Woke up this morning and apart from nauseous, I'm starting to feel... Hopeful! Optimistic!
The anxiety is still there but it's not all-consuming. Hurrah!!
Any other pregnancy-after-loss mums have a date they're aiming for? X

Belle2210 · 22/01/2022 11:27

@BlueSky57 Oh no 💕 how horrible to have to end up in A&E. Glad that your HCG level is high enough and although it will still feel like forever to be getting a scan on Monday to put your mind at ease.

girafferafferaffe · 22/01/2022 11:37

I hope it all turns out alright in the end mate. That must be really hard to deal with
girafferafferaffe · 22/01/2022 11:39

I'm in week 7 now and every morning I wake up and feel like I've been hit by a bus. I don't have many symptoms just general feeling crap. Last night I did a lft because I felt so crap. I don't feel sick or anything. Just massively tired and my boobs are just so painful/sensitive (and annoyingly huge!!!!)

Hopingforarainbow27 · 22/01/2022 11:41

@petitlapin1 I'm marked is 8 weeks. I've got a scan on Wednesday and I should be 6 weeks but I hope I make it to my 8 week scan and the baby is still there!

Billymay · 22/01/2022 11:46

@BlueSky57 what a worry. I hope everything goes ok for your scan. Xxx

BlueSky57 · 22/01/2022 12:00

Thank you very much @Billymay @girafferafferaffe @petitlapin1 @Belle2210 Flowers

I am hoping the fact my hcg levels were above 1500 is a good sign but who knows? I also did a clearblue test for reassurance this morning (not sure why!) & it showed 3+ weeks so that’s the last one of those I’ll do now. I’m not sure what hcg result gives you 3+ weeks with those clearblue tests though?

holdonbaby · 22/01/2022 12:23

@Pinkflamingofly glad you've said that I've had this a couple of times. Like a pink tinge but nothing in pants!

Mags146 · 22/01/2022 12:59

@BlueSky57 when test shows 3+ hcg level is above 2400

I ended up calling 111 yesterday as had a horrific pain in my pelvic area and then it moved onto stomach. Turns out I have urinary track infection and got 7day course of antibiotics.

Pinkflamingofly · 22/01/2022 13:23

@holdonbaby tes same for me, just on the paper. Luckily didnt happen again the whole morning but I'm scared to go for a wee now!
@annlee3817 hope you're right. But can you get implantation bleeding after a bfp?
I hope your scan went well this morning

@BlueSky57 what a nightmare, hope you're ok and will manage to rest over the weekend.

I really want to have an early scan too when I'm 8 weeks, but I've already booked a Harmony test for when I'm 10 weeks and they will also do a scan. I cant afford both scans, the harmony test is 400 quid!!!!

annlee3817 · 22/01/2022 13:31

@BlueSky57 hope everything is ok when you get the scan

annlee3817 · 22/01/2022 13:33

Scan went well, thankfully, measuring 8+4

Excellent news @annlee3817

Pinkflamingofly · 22/01/2022 16:29

Amazing news @annlee3817 congratulations!

Which pregnancy app are you ladies using? I've got what to expect but wondering if there's a better one out there

110APiccadilly · 22/01/2022 17:32

I don't have a pregnancy app as such but I use Natural Cycles so I'm using that in pregnancy mode (yes, baby was planned - NC has a "plan pregnancy" mode as well as a "prevent" one!) It's probably not the most detailed, but you do get a weekly summary of what's going on with you and with baby. I wouldn't pay for it just to get pregnancy mode though!

girafferafferaffe · 22/01/2022 18:11

I'm using Ovia

Billymay · 22/01/2022 21:37

What supplements is everyone taking? I’ve used pregnacare in previous pregnancies but I can get folic acid and vit d for less money in Holland and barrett? Xx

hayleynk27 · 22/01/2022 21:57

I was taking pregnacare.. but kept finding after taking around 20/30 mins later I was being sick. Could be coincidence of course! But I picked up ultra folic acid with vit b12 (vitabiotics) and have been fine with these Smile x

holdonbaby · 22/01/2022 21:57

@Billymay I'm using pregnacare max which is 3 for 2 in boots. I tend to have 2 days of those then 1 of asdas own brand pregnancy vits as I have a good diet so don't want to overdo vits but also don't want to be lacking hence the max version of pregnacare.

I've had several deficiencies over the years so I need to be on the ball.
