@Imhereforthecake

Yep, PeeAche as in Pee Ache.

What can I say? It was a really bad kidney infection...

Imhereforthecake · 16/01/2022 19:57

@PeeAche GrinGrinGrin

Rolledthedice · 16/01/2022 20:07

@ChildOfFriday I know what you mean about the pulling feeling. I had it after playing badminton today. I assume it’s ligaments etc stretching!

Clomid1 · 16/01/2022 21:06

@MrsTwentyNine I am 18+1

@ChildOfFriday thanks both. I now think its trapped wind, it has cleared slightly if it persists I may call the midwife

PlodandPod · 16/01/2022 23:34

@unknownscot I'm not planning on finding out. Looking forward to it being a surprise but would make it easier if we knew 😂 I keep looking at clothes thinking 'unisex' clothes are more suited to a boy than a girl!

@destiEos Depending on how you feel about 2nd hand (I know everyone is different) I got a like new dockatot/sleepyhead from Facebook marketplace locally to me for £40 instead of £120!

@Clomid1 I have round ligament pain on my left side, started last Monday but felt exactly like a stitch as you're describing. Sending hugs, at times it's unbelievably painful :(

PeeAche · 17/01/2022 00:20

I have bad round ligament pain. Today I actually have a tender spot at the very bottom of my abdomen. It's tender to the touch. Does this sound normal? Bit worried.

pregnancydiaries · 17/01/2022 09:07

@PeeAche this sounds similar to what I had last week that took me into triage, mainly because I was specifically worried about the tender spot. After all the checks doctor said it was likely an actual torn ligament from going from being bed bound/sick so much with the HG and now starting to move around a lot more as we get better. As a feeling HG sufferer I wonder if it could be that too?

All was fine with little bub, heard the heartbeat and no real advise but to mix resting and walking again slowly.

How are you feeling this morning?xx

pregnancydiaries · 17/01/2022 09:07

Pandamama88 · 17/01/2022 09:45

More certain that I am feeling the baby kick now. It's like little pops and twitches it's weird

21 weeks tomorrow.

RoseValleyRambles · 17/01/2022 10:05

We got our first kicks last night - could even see them through the skin! Felt like little muscle twitches. I'm only 17 weeks, but bump is quite tight, which I'm guessing accounts for early appearance! Very cool seeing baby make it's presence felt!

PeeAche · 17/01/2022 10:15

Hey @pregnancydiaries thank you. Can't find anything in my Googling but obviously it's stressing me out. Does feel like something muscle/ligament related.

I have suddenly become a lot more mobile and active. I even went out to a ball on Saturday! Perhaps I have just overdone it!

I heard the heartbeat last Tuesday so I'm fairly certain everything is fine. Have felt 2 distinctive "bloops" near my belly button last night too. But still not entirely convinced it's not just wind. 😂

pregnancydiaries · 17/01/2022 10:24

@PeeAche exact same as me in that I had been completely bed bound for the best part 10 weeks then decided to go for long walks every day...it could well be the same thing but I am not a Dr so might be worth phoning to double check if you're still worried.

A ball? That is MIGHTY impressive!!!

RoseValleyRambles · 17/01/2022 10:53

I want to go to a ball! That is epic and deserving of celebration.

mrkb · 17/01/2022 11:52

Just got back from our 20 week scan and we're having a little girl!!! I was so convinced baby was going to be a boy I almost can't believe it. So excited and just cannot wait for her to arrive now!

Lostintranslatio · 17/01/2022 12:02

@mrkb congrats on your scan and your little girl!!!!

RoseValleyRambles · 17/01/2022 12:06

@mrkb Congratulations! So exciting to have a little more info on your resident... :)

fpeg · 17/01/2022 12:08

@mrkb so glad your scan went well! Congratulations!

@PeeAche wowsers a ball!! How exciting, definitely time to get these things in before we can't do it for a little while, sorry about the after effects though!

@RoseValleyRambles how lovely to feel those first kicks 💚 I've felt little one a couple of times (externally) but definitely not seen her move yet!

Unarosaes · 17/01/2022 12:16

I haven't been o here for a while. Trying to catch up! Super excited 20 week scans have already started. Mine is not until 2 weeks' time
I am currently 19 weeks and I feel movement in my lower belly but I am not sure what baby feels like, so pretty much in the dark. I think these are not always gas as I can usually feel it moving beyond lower abdomen (sorry tmi Confused)

InvisibleDragon · 17/01/2022 12:18

@mrkb Congrats on your successful scan! That's really exciting news Smile

Had a midwife appointment today and got the whooping cough vaccine. Was very keen to have it as I got whooping cough when I was a child and it was not fun at all!

Still not sure if I'm feeling any movements - 18 weeks with an anterior placenta. I have felt some small pops really low down in my abdomen, which I like to imagine are tiny kicks. But I'm also continually constipated, so could easily just be my intestines complaining Confused

mrkb · 17/01/2022 12:24

Thanks everyone!! Just over the moon!

@InvisibleDragon I've got an anterior placenta too and haven't really felt anything in ages. I thought I had flutters a few weeks ago but assuming that was just gas now 😂 the sonographer told me it's nothing to worry about at all and just means we probably won't feel anything until closer to 24 weeks

Prema112 · 17/01/2022 12:24

@mrkb Congrats on your little girl!! I'm so convinced mine is a girl so I shall be similarly surprise it we find out it's a boy tmw!

I'm getting more and more scanxiety now with just over 24 hours until the scan...

fpeg · 17/01/2022 12:33

I'm terms of feeling and not feeling movements seeing the scan really helped me understand why they are so intermittent. Little monster was facing the wrong way for 95% of the scan so facing placenta and my back and is essentially punching and kicking a giant cushion when facing that way. The scan picture just made it make so much sense and really helped to relieve any anxiety about feeling things one day and not the next. Hope this helps someone 💚

Prema112 · 17/01/2022 12:36

@PeeAche Sorry to hear you are in pain love, might be worth getting it checked out if it persists. So many weird aches and pains in pregnancy!

Flowerbug1994 · 17/01/2022 12:42

Hey girls congratulations on your 20 weeks scans just a little question how long did you scans take how log was you at the hospital ? I’ve got mine Friday then need to go for a rhesus blood test just wondering if I will have time. Thanks xxx

mrkb · 17/01/2022 12:50

@Prema112 definitely understand the scanxiety - I barely slept last night! I'm sure it will all be fine though - it usually is! Good luck - seeing baby again is just the best feeling.

@Flowerbug1994 I think it took around half an hour for the scan but then I needed to see the midwife for a urine sample and blood pressure etc. All in I was in and out in an hour but I was called 10 mins early and already had my whooping cough vaccine last week and they make you sit down for 15 mins after just to check everything is ok. Probably something that depends on how busy they are at the time.
