Hello everyone!

I have just had my BFP this morning, and based on dates I am due on the 1st September! I’m only just late on my period so hopefully there will be a few more of us over the next few weeks. Last pregnancy my date was pushed back a few days and DS ended up being a full 12 days late after that so I’m not too wedded to the 1st September!

@C1aire85 omg amazing news, congratulations 💗❤️ Having obsessively read MC stats over the past few weeks I believe getting past the 6 week heartbeat stage is a v good sign!!

DH has just left for a two week trip so I'm feeling a bit emosh this morning. It will likely all be fine, but it's the idea of having a MC while he's away and I'm alone, ugh. Anyway - positive mental attitude!!

@Meganrobyn welcome and congratulations, 5th baby!! Crikey! That's incredible. We look forward to learning from your pregnancy wisdome ❤️💕 Sorry to hear it sounds like it hasn't come at the best time for you though, that must be difficult!

Sleepy86 · 09/01/2022 10:52

Morning everyone! Congrats to all the people just getting their BFP’s!

I’m 5 weeks today, just took my last CB digi and got 3+ so I’m stepping away from the tests now!

Morning everyone!!

It's early scan day for me today - so, so nervous! Ahhhh!

C1aire85 · 09/01/2022 11:15

@2mumlife my anxiety has completely changed overnight - I have woken with a spring in my step and even though I'm still having a bit of bleeding I'm ok with it because they have explained why and shown me it on the scan. I totally get your mindset - it's so fitting to have your first scan with clinic, and holding out that long will be so exciting then being around the 8 week mark.

@Maphat Welcome 👋 I have the thirst too - can't get enough water!!

@Tor88 thank you :) I didn't know that so I have an extra big smile now :)
2 weeks probably seems like a long time now ... but when he gets home think how much further along you'll be and how much your little one will have grown. You can do this!!

@Sleepy86 Congrats on your 3+, how lovely knowing there is definitely some growing going on in there :)

2mumlife · 09/01/2022 12:49

@C1aire85 Really pleased you've got the srping in the step! I'll keep paying private in mind if the spotting comes back. I know there really isn't much point though until I'm at least 6 weeks, so even with that I've got awhile to go.

@surprised12 Good luck!

Alexandra07 · 09/01/2022 14:30

@C1aire85 that's great news for you! I am happy for you! If you don't mind me asking you, how much bleeding did you have?

I had spotting yesterday and bleeding today. The GP I saw wasn't very helpful. I got no answers. I was asked to call EPU tomorrow. After the appointment I realised that I had to be referred by the GP to my local EPU. I hope I can still call them and see them as soon as possible.

C1aire85 · 09/01/2022 16:36

@surprised12 hope your scan all went well :)

@Alexandra07 sorry for tmi in advance. I had a bit of a mixture. Early on between 3-4 weeks I had old brown blood when I wiped on and off for about 3 days. I also had an afternoon of fresh red blood when I wiped. Then that stopped and at 6 weeks I've had thicker brown on and off since yesterday morning with a few little bits. Sorry it's so gross!! This is an IVF pregnancy and I had 2 transferred - one made a sac with a baby but the other one only made a sac. On the scan she showed me the sac area and said that is likely what's coming out. There was also another area of fluid - she said it was nothing of concern and quite common and also likely to come out. Hopefully yours is something similar and nothing to worry about. I didn't ring gp/epu so can't be much help with them. Really help your mind gets put to rest soon so your not stressing out XX

Hi Ladies,

Congratulations on your BFPs, just wanted to introduce myself. I'm 32 and got BFP (baby #1) on the 22nd Dec meaning that I'm 6w1d today! Have a private scan booked for a week Sat when I will be 8w. Pretty nervous as I had a chemical at 5.5 weeks in October...nobody told me how worrying pregnancy can be 😬. Glad to have found this group and have joined the fb group too!

Xxx

It went really well! The scan lady was so lovely and re- assuring.
We saw the baby - measured at 7 weeks so I'm end of August due date at the minute.

We saw it's strong little heartbeat 💓

The scan lady thoroughly checked everything and really put my mind at ease. Up to now, everything is perfect!

@HopefulMummy44 I'll share a picture tomorrow when they come through - it doesn't look too much like a baby at the minute - just a blob. She said it will be the size of my little finger nail!

HopefulMummy44 · 09/01/2022 18:30

That is amazing, what lovely news @surprised12

KatBee121 · 09/01/2022 18:58

@surprised12
Ahhh that's awesome!! Bet it's such an amazing feeling when you see it's little heart beat for the first time! 🥰 I've got 3 week until my first scan yet, gona book it for the 8 week mark.
If you don't mind me asking, did they do transabdominal or transvaginal ultrasound?
I'm really not keen on having them poke anything 'up there' so I'd have to veto it 😅😂

annlee3817 · 09/01/2022 19:30

Great news @surprised12 glad it went well :)

annlee3817 · 09/01/2022 19:31

Great to hear yours went well too @C1aire85

Belle2210 · 09/01/2022 19:56

Awww 😊 loving all this happy scan news!

4 weeks + 3 here still so a while to go before mine. I've ended up on Fragmin injections for a DVT scare after having pain in my lower leg. Going to the DVT Clinic tomorrow to be sure everything is fine. Hope I don't have these injections the whole pregnancy as they sting so bad....less when I do them myself rather than the husband though lol. Anyone else ever had these? No health issues other than fertility till now too 🙄

petitlapin1 · 09/01/2022 20:03

Congratulations @C1aire85 and @surprised12! Nothing better for the anxiety at this stage than seeing a little beating blob on a screen! @KatBee121 all my early scans up to 8 weeks in the past have been TV.

I'm finding the fluctuating symptoms a pain at the minute- I had hyperemesis with my successful pregnancy and now associate not feeling ill with bad outcomes. 5+6 today so I know there's still time.

Who else has early scans booked? I love hearing about happy scans. 😁

petitlapin1 · 09/01/2022 20:05

@Belle2210 My condolences- I had them after my last C-section and they stung like Hell! Hubby had to do them all as I couldn't.
Since I was last under maternity care they've brought in new guidelines which mean I'll be advised to have them for months whilst I'm pregnant- I'm really really not keen!
