I have just had my BFP this morning, and based on dates I am due on the 1st September! I’m only just late on my period so hopefully there will be a few more of us over the next few weeks. Last pregnancy my date was pushed back a few days and DS ended up being a full 12 days late after that so I’m not too wedded to the 1st September!

I am 4 weeks with due date 10/9. Second pregnancy, I have a 4 yo DD. I am concerned because I already have heartburn and loss of appetite in the mornings. My symptoms didn't start before week 5-6 last time and I only had heartburn at the end of the pregnancy. Isn't it too early for such symptoms? I am thinking the worst.

I am also a teacher. As far as I know, if the school follows the burgundy book, you can start maternity leave anytime up to your due date. If you are told otherwise, better to check with your Union.

@Alexandra07 congratulations!! I have a 2 year old and I’m waiting for the feeling of hypermesis and real exhaustion to start too. I’ve had mild cramping, on/off heartburn and boob pain time, all of which I didn’t have with my DD until the 3rd trimester and I’m wondering if this pregnancy is just going to be different 🤷‍♀️. I wish my body came with a manual 😂

@girafferafferaffe I wouldn't worry about the multivitamin sorry! Just change now you know you're pregnant- I was also taking a general one and then didn't take any for a week while I was away for Christmas because I didn't think I was pregnant 🤷‍♀️ you can only work with the information you have at the time xx

On the vitamin front I take 5mg folic acid anyway due to epilepsy ( seizure free for 14 years apart from a small one when I was under anaesthesia for my D+C in October but still have to take medication) and I was taking seven seas conception ones I have about a week and a half - two weeks left of those so I'll keep taking that then just take pregnacare. I've also ordered Vitamin D that should arrive today. Has anyone told their GP's yet?

My GP won't want me to contact them. And the self referral form I have to fill in says not to do so until 6 weeks so a couple of weeks wait now!

I'm hoping to have another home birth. I'm in a different county and it looks like they have a lovely home birth team unlike my last one so hoping for the best.

Due approx 12th September according to the apps.

Very sore boobs for about 3-4 days now and so tired! But cannot sleep at night! Anyone else experience insomnia?? Is it a symptom? It could just be that I'm so excited!

@arianasky I made a self referral for my local maternity unit because I am not sure when I'll manage to get a gp appointment.

Thanks ladies I have to contact mine because of the PMP I'll do it Tuesday I think, I'm in mini panic mode now as I just did a FRER with FMU and it's lighter than yesterday 😔 I'm praying baby sticks I know I wee'd on the actual test part where the lines show on accident so hoping its all ok 😔

Looking at it now I'd say it's not lighter but same as yesterday I'll try with another tomorrow morning and a cheapie see if there was progression on that, errggh it's so anxiety inducing early pregnancy 😩

@arianasky I will phone my GP on Tuesday because they aren’t open until then, although I’m new to the practice so I have no idea what they will want me to do!

I have found dip testing HPTs a better method than midstream. Could be worth a try tomorrow morning?

@cantbelieveit2022 welcome and congrats! I’ve been awake at night too. Not sure if it’s a symptom for me probably more due to the fact I’m worrying so much about every little twinge.

@arianasky I was worried about my line progression last week but they did get darker after another 48 hours and then I got 2-3 on a cb digi on 30th Dec.

I’ve been having quite sharp cramps for the past half an hour or so, no bleeding. Just hoping it’s normal and not a bad sign 😩

@Chasingrainbows1518 yes that could be it for me too... honestly not sure I'll relax at all during this. A million and one things running through my head constantly!

@notmyusualchoice when I rang before they literally just took my details and booked me for a midwife appointment at 8 weeks, I know I have been dipping the last few days but I was desperate to wee this morning and didn't have any cups in the bathroom so I'll definitely dip tomorrow, I've bought some week indicators aswell so I'll start using those maybe Tuesday/ Wednesday

Morning Ladies I was wondering if anyone could help AF due tomorrow and I should be 13dpo today I took a test this morning and I think I can see a faint line but I don’t know if it is my mind playing tricks on me what do you think?

Tentatively joining as well, 5+1, due Sept 3rd. Had IVF with genetic testing as 2YO DS has a genetic condition. It took 2 years to conceive DS1 naturally and only got one suitable embryo from 1st cycle of IVF. Can’t believe it looks like it’s stuck!

@AmberBox I see a line too! I would def test again in 48hrs. Hopefully a much clearer line then! Good luck!

@arianasky thank you I hope so. Just had a little walk around and they seem to have eased off so hoping it stays that way.

@cantbelieveit2022 @Chasingrainbows1518 I also slept terribly last night having been sooo tired all day. Had quite bad cramping in the middle of the night and a sudden sore throat so ended up taking paracetamol at 2am. Hoping everything's fine but the symptoms do make you obsess don't they!

It's such early days so trying to put it out my head but v hard when you're constantly cramping... Also sore throat made me think covid, but it seems to be gone this morn 🤷‍♀️

Lots of teachers here. I work at a university, so also enjoying the prospect of September due date :)

I wont be contacting GP until fertility clinic signs me off as having a viable pregnancy at scan.

@Chasingrainbows1518 I had some really sharp stabbing pains low down kind of middle of uterus area last night around midnight - was the weirdest thing ever, 3 very sharp, but short lived stabbing sensations that just lasted a couple of second each then completely stopped... Hoping everything is ok. Was more reassured this morning when I got up and there is no bleeding or anything so hoping it was nothing worrying.

Has anyone else been experiencing constant thirst?? I'm only 4+2 so it feels v early for all these symptoms, but I went for a run yest (not even a particularly long one) and all afternoon afterwards I was half asleep and glugging the most ridiculous amount of water haha

Congratulations to everyone who's had their BFPs! @arianasky I was exactly the same with FRER a few days ago, no progression in my lines within 24 hours so I left it 48 before testing again and I had a darker line, it's so hard not to keep testing daily though!

I've reay been stressing myself out over every little symptom! Having mild cramping constantly since 10dpo and am now 15dpo (4+1 weeks). TMI but I had light brown discharge 10dpo until yesterday and am now having very watery discharge with no colour. Hope it's all okay but I've been googling non stop! Also been feeling light headed which I didn't get with DD. I wish I could just fast forward to the second trimester.
