Aah @Prema112 I’m so glad you were surrounded by such lovely people and a lovely atmosphere. Exactly how it should be!

@Pandamama88 I know right, appalling! To be fair, in the country I’m in they tell people to wait till the second trimester so that’s probably why she panicked, but like…where’s the data on the difference it makes?? Also CLEARLY I’d made a pretty conscious decision.

Personally the first time was traumatic because of how heavily I bled in the days following (was soaking through pads constantly which seems to be a very rare reaction), so just been terrified ever since. But to be honest if it’s going to happen again, I’d prefer it happen sooner rather than later.

Good luck with your booster - hope the atmosphere is as kind and reassuring as @prema112’s, not bloody mine! X

Someone asked earlier but my brains fried and I've forgotten; I've had a pedicure. My beautician says they don't recommend treatments in first trimester as your so limited as to what medication you have in case you have a reaction. But chances of a reaction to gel polish is almost non existent.

We've just fitted aircon into our bedroom. First thing I thought 'when the fan is on full, that's perfect white noise for baby' 😅

I'm finally starting to feel better. My poor neglected house is slowly being cleaned and tidied again. We're starting on the nursery tomorrow, only because it's bright yellow wallpaper and polystyrene ceiling tiles, so want to see what we've got left. But I'm excited to start planning what to do with it now! My sons nursery theme was circus animals. He's now got the most incredible dinosaur bedroom that I'm so jealous of 😂. Has anyone got nursery ideas yet?

Nobody enjoyed the Camembert. 🙄
Sounds like a cold war code-phrase 😂
jun2022 · 20/11/2021 22:41

Are we allowed Camembert? I had in my head pregnant people weren't?

My nausea had disappeared but the last few days has come back with a bang and I'm feeling terrible again! I'm 11+3, it's draining! Tea tonight was Ritz crackers and apple crumble!

MrsNT · 20/11/2021 23:29

@brightsmoke that was me asking about pedicurws 😁...oh well it can wait now. I boughy these foot mask socks from tk maxx..treated myself with that. Feet are super soft now. Although cant beat the awesme massage they do in pedicures. I rarely get nail polish done ..i get it done for get rid of the dryness

MrsNT · 20/11/2021 23:31

@brightsmoke we have plans for nursery but will do it after new yr. Need to get ugly lilac color wallpaper removed .thinking of going for a simple creme type shade so it goes with everything

MrsNT · 20/11/2021 23:34

@jennixxx im gettng headaches. Increase ur water intake and also get gp or midwife to check ur thyroid levels

MrsNT · 21/11/2021 00:00

I tend to get headaches if water intake is less

Owen456 · 21/11/2021 05:09

Anyone else struggling with sleep? I wake up in the middle of the night and then I’m wide awake for hours 😑
We went for a private scan the other day at 8+3 after we suffered a pretty nasty car crash and was so relieved to see one happy healthy baby ❤️

@Owen456 im the exact same i wake up at 4am every morning and i just cannot get back to sleep for hours its so irritating!
And awhe i hope everyone else is okay and glad baby is happy and healthy!! SmileGrin

Olive60 · 21/11/2021 08:31

@owen456 yes! Unsettled all night then wide awake for 4am (usually up for work at half 5 anyhow) I'm heading to bed every night for 8ish!

CurryandSnuggle · 21/11/2021 08:42

@olive60 I’ve noticed I wake up in the night and can’t settle again if I went to bed too early. Trouble is I’m exhausted and keep dozing off by 9pm lol. But if I go to bed at 10 or 11 I sleep fine.

Our brains are probably thinking it’s had enough sleep by the time we wake up because most adults only need 7-8 hours a night.

Sorry to read about your car crash. I had one in my first pregnancy so I can empathise how scary it is. I am glad you and baby are ok. They’re super resilient especially in early pregnancy as they’re so well cushioned Smile

CurryandSnuggle · 21/11/2021 08:43

Sorry meant to tag @Owen456 in above post xx

PeeAche · 21/11/2021 09:07

Ouch, @Owen456 so sorry to hear about nasty car crash but so glad you're okay. And baby too! Lovely heathy scan picture!

@jun2022 Camembert is fine if it's heated through until piping hot! I used to love the stuff but I can't stomach it at the moment. 🤢

RoseValleyRambles · 21/11/2021 10:19

Joy of joys, I've woken up not feeling sick! Going to clean the carnage that is the kitchen as fast as I can while it lasts... Honestly don't know how those of you with kids already do it. Hats off to you.

destiEos · 21/11/2021 12:07

@RoseValleyRambles I'm praying for that day to arrive. Can't cope with this nausea much longer 😢

unknownscot · 21/11/2021 12:08

Is anyone else feeling short of breath, I'm struggling quite a lot today (I'm in work which doesn't help either) and actually a colleague asked me if I knew I was breathing funnily.

X

Prema112 · 21/11/2021 12:28

@unknownscot I've been short of breath pretty much since my BFP, it's from the massive rise progesterone. However, if you're feeling really short of breath you should get checked out just to be safe x

@Wellthiswasunexpected how are you today? Any jab side effects? I'm so pleased I don't seem to have any except a sore arm

Prema112 · 21/11/2021 12:30

@RoseValleyRambles Yey to no nausea! I hope it lasts! @destiEos hang in there, it will get better!

@Owen456 so sorry to hear about your car crash how scary, glad to hear you and baby are fine

Prema112 · 21/11/2021 12:31

@PeeAche You've got me thinking about Camembert and wondering if I could stomach it, I LOVED it pre pregnancy...

Prema112 · 21/11/2021 12:33

I can't remember who said their baby would come out looking like a block of cheese but I'm totally with you- pretty sure mine will too Grin

beansprout55 · 21/11/2021 13:13

@Owen456 thank goodness you're all ok! How frightening. Lovely scan ❤️

So, every food and drink that didn't make me nauseous week 6-8 now makes me want to die. Can we share what foods/drinks are working for us at the mo? (Those who have the severe nausea or HG) I really need some inspiration.

Fizzy drinks went down well at first but now, urghhhh. I've even gone off my smokey bacon Walkers, genuinely devastated.

DaimDillyDoo · 21/11/2021 13:36

It's my 12 week scan tomorrow and nerves are setting in! Sad
