@DaimDillyDoo good luck with your 12 week scan, just think you’re going to see your cute little wriggler on screen Grin

Clomid1 · 21/11/2021 14:03

@DaimDillyDoo mine is the first week of December also very nervous. Good luck! We’ve come so far lets hope it stays positive for us 😊

unknownscot · 21/11/2021 15:27

I've taken myself to a&e just to get checked over - think I may be panicking too much - they are going to check my iron levels and check for a uti

Prema112 · 21/11/2021 16:57

@unknownscot good you're getting checked, hope everything is ok

PeeAche · 21/11/2021 18:17

@unknownscot I hope you're okay. Keep us updated.xxx

Everything good blood and obs wise. They won't scan or anything as had an early scan with ivf so no concern there.

Think this is just normal for me.

Willow1981 · 21/11/2021 18:57

I hit my local high street today in the hope of finding maternity jeans.
What a waste of time. In my town Next and New Look are closed down, M&S is huge but doesn't stock maternity wear. Jojo had one small rail and H&M only had clothes for tiny pregnant young ladies. I'm a short, already overweight 40 year old! Internet it is then.

Prema112 · 21/11/2021 19:02

@unknownscot Good to hear all is well, sorry that you're feeling unwell though, hope you feel a bit better soon x

Olive60 · 21/11/2021 19:20

Is anyone needing to size up/buy maternity jeans/trousers yet?
Felt really deflated that I'm only 9weeks and currently living in leggings as my jeans won't fasten. Bought 4 new pairs of jeans in my usual size (as reviews said to size down so I thought perfect I'll just stock to the usual!) and not one pair fit!

rathernotshare · 21/11/2021 19:28

I've bought a load of maternity jeans and will be returning all but one, it's so hard to decide which to keep! I don't know if just my belly will grow or if my legs with get thicker too? I tend to put weight on my thighs. So difficult!

Is anyone else just generally feeling crap? I seem to have thrush again even though I’ve already had it a couple of weeks ago, going to ring the midwife tomorrow to ask them to swab me. I know I shouldn’t be moaning but I’m just sick of feeling sick, bloated, itchy down below and constantly falling asleep on the couch. I’m also so anxious for my 12 week scan in 2 weeks and convinced the thrush might be harming my baby even though the midwife said it won’t.
Sorry for the rant 😔 I think this first trimester is hard without people to talk to really! I’m definitely not one of those women who sail through pregnancy xxx

Vimto1991 · 21/11/2021 20:21

I just got home from the hospital because someone decided to pull out to me whilst I was on a straight 60 road (luckily doing 30-40 as I don’t trust that stretch of road). My first thought when I crashed and air bags went off wasn’t me, or the car… just the baby. I got myself out the car and the first thing I said to the lady that did it was ‘what the fuck I’m pregnant’. Everyone was so helpful, hospital didn’t scan my stomach, though, they said as I don’t have cramps or bleeding I am okay, and lucky it’s early on in pregnancy whilst the baby is cushioned in my pelvis… but I’m still freaking out!
Today is the first day where I am so shocked at how I can be attached to something I’ve never met. So worried for my little bean I booked a private scan Tuesday, a week before my 12 week scan - just to check. I’m probably being overly anxious but 😭
I’m just bruised on my shin and wrist (potential fracture but suspected just bruising and cuts) so i am lucky to be here.
Just… hoping the baby stays put all healthy. 😩

Pandamama88 · 21/11/2021 20:23

@Willow1981 let me know where you find! I face similar problems.

Willow1981 · 21/11/2021 20:32

@Pandamama88. I've just been on newlooks website. A good range there. I have ordered some ankle grazer jeans in the hope they are short enough for me!
Only issue is, I noticed after I hit order that the delivery address is at my 4 year ago ex's house.
Going to have to contact them tomorrow to try (beg) to change it! Bloody pregnancy brain.
Not an option to pick it up from his as his mum has just died and I have just married someone else. Awkward is not the word!

Willow1981 · 21/11/2021 20:35

@Vimto1991.
I hope you are OK. Good idea re scan. Fingers crossed for you.

Pandamama88 · 21/11/2021 20:38

@HWka Last year I went through a long phase of recurrent thrush. The GP kept prescribing canesten which would help for a bit then it would come back. I got tested for all sorts of things incase it was something more sinister. Nothing. Then one female GP asked me if I was using harsh soaps etc. I wasn't using anything particularly harsh and they had never caused me any problems before. Then she rather rudely suggested that as us women get older our sensitivities change. So I begrudgingly took her advice and bought a bottle of stuff specifically designed for washing down there. I've been using femfresh ever since and haven't had any itchiness at all since. Sorry for the tmi. Also sorry for sounding like an advert there are other equivalent washes available. Just if you are anything like I was you'd be willing to give anything a go incase it can help. Also apologies if you already do use something like that. X

Vimto1991 · 21/11/2021 20:38

@Willow1981 thank you! Achey and worried, not looking forward to dealing with my car via insurance as it was compounded but grateful to be here, and crossing fingers baby is doing okay, too. :)

Pandamama88 · 21/11/2021 20:41

@Vimto1991 that's awful hope you are both okay

AmICrazy36 · 21/11/2021 20:44

@unknownscot hope your ok sweetie!

@Vimto1991 oh goodness! Hope your ok and rest! You must have had such a fright!

I have a really sore back tonight, right in the middle and spanning over the length of my back. In bed and want to cry 😢

Vimto1991 · 21/11/2021 20:47

@AmICrazy36 thank you, it was a bit life flash before your eyes and immediate panic about the baby. Especially getting to the almost 12 week mark and terrified I could lose it. Still no bleeding or pain so hopefully a funny story I get to tell them when they’re here.

I’ve been getting that pain, I’ve been blaming the mattress! I suffer with a bad back in between my shoulder blades as I sit all day for work, but recently been getting it all down my back… maybe another symptom for us then!

HWka · 21/11/2021 20:54

@Pandamama88 thanks for that! Ill give it a go. I don’t actually use anything down below as I do tend to get thrush occasionally but I do like to go swimming a few times a week so wondering if it’s that. It’s so bloody uncomfortable, particularly when already feeling sick and gross!

rathernotshare · 21/11/2021 20:57

@Vimto1991 that's terrifying even without being pregnant, hope you are doing okay!

Willow1981 · 21/11/2021 21:04

@clolo try H&M. You sound the right shape for their range.

Vimto1991 · 21/11/2021 21:14

@rathernotshare thank you! I am okay just sore and bruised, more worried about baby, wish I’d bought myself a Doppler! Hopefully they’re fine :)
