Has anyone had really dry itchy armpits? Don't know what to do. Feels unwise to stick lotion in my pits!

@Imhereforthecake be warned, the gestational diabetes test is horrible. I had it last week. You have to have a totally empty stomach, which isn’t ideal if snacking helps with nausea as it does me, and then they take blood before making you drink this bottle of disgustingly sweet and gloopy glucose solution. How I didn’t throw up, I don’t know. It felt like about half a pint. Then you have to hang around for two hours, still not eating, before having another blood test. I felt crap enough without any of that.

@Clomid1 and @EarlGreywithLemon I've also got my scan tomorrow afternoon and I'm so nervous but so glad it's finally here.
Have just returned from New York and thankfully we got the PCR results back in time and all was negative, was worried I may have to rearrange.

@ALHCTPS How do they determine who needs to have that test? My BMI is pretty high and I haven't been asked to have one. It sounds really gross.

@beansprout55 Don’t be too hard on yourself! You have to listen to your gut. If it makes you feel any better I had both flu and covid jabs yesterday and have since had a fever and regretted my decision 🤦🏼‍♀️ it’s so hard to know what to do for the best!

@Pandamama88 they do a little metric based on your info. If you get a score of 1, you are invited for a test between 24-28 weeks. If you get a score of more than 1, or have had GD before, you are invited earlier.

So, you will have to have one, but it won't be for a few weeks yet. A raised BMI gives you a score of 1.

@Pandamama88 my BMI barely scrapes 19 and I have none of the usual contributing factors (family history, certain ethnicities etc) BUT I stupidly knocked back a can of coke immediately before my midwife appointment as I was nauseous and my energy was flagging and then there was a lot of sugar in my urine.

The scan was easy and I saw a little one in there! I saw their heartbeat. I am slightly early though, they've put me at 10w 4d so I have to go back in 2 weeks! I feel a huge relief.

I found the wait very hard @unaroses but feeling so much better now I saw them on the scan. although I am a bit disappointed I'm not 12 weeks, I felt safer thinking I was further along.

I've had the GTT twice and I never really minded the drink but a lot of people do say it's not very nice.

I got another one at 16 weeks

Scan went very well today. Could see little bean measuring a few days ahead. 2 hand, 2 feet, all the important bits were there. I have to wait for next week to get the results of the triple screening test. TN was 1.4 so it is looking promising! Dr guessed it's a girl, will be back in 4 weeks and confirm sex. The relief I feel right now is immeasurable.

Flag for anyone in London: tfl currently have a backlog on baby on board badges, so order now. I've had to message them on Twitter as an order of almost a month ago still hasn't arrived.

Hey everyone! I came across this thread and I’m sorry I’m jumping on to see if anyone is experiencing the same symptoms as me to ease my anxiety🤣🤦🏻‍♀️ I’m 18+3 (first baby) and I’ve been having cramps on and off on my bikini line both sides and sometimes in the middle it comes and goes! I can never get hold of my midwife (not sure if anyone else is the same) and I feel whenever I ask I always get the same response if your concerned go to the labour ward which I don’t find helpful because I don’t know whether to be concerned or not 😂🤦🏻‍♀️ I just feel like I’m panicking over everything 🤣 xx

Me too lol! Yes with the fireworks. So they will either be pink or blue xx

@caz198917😂 i thought you were doing a gender reveal and once the gender has been revealed you’d all go out for fireworks. sorry clearly very slow!

@Clomid1 That's a good question. My other half already made christmas pudding with brandy butter and I felt sorry for my self not being able to have it. 😂
