Oh no! Sorry to hear that @destiEos. I can only imagine how gutted you must be. Did they give you a new date?

@HWka I think it's probably a mix of hormones and feeling strongly about certain things. I almost cry the other day because my partner and I had already agreed that my surname would go first and he was now saying that it was unfair to him (I am in Spain and we have one surname from the father and one from the mother, but father always goes first). After an emotional speech I started welling up and he said he was just winding me up... not sure I believe him, I think he maybe just panicked

destiEos · 30/11/2021 16:05

@Unarosaes they did, I'll be back on Thursday Smile Still here though..

Pandamama88 · 30/11/2021 16:11

@HWka I wouldn't want my kids named after my husband's sisters either. Nor am I religious so wouldn't be arsed with a christening or godparents. But there are always kinder ways to put things. It's hard sometimes but try to have a calmer conversation about it later on the clear things up.

unknownscot · 30/11/2021 16:30

My scan went well measuring 10+6 which is exactly correct for my ivf dates.
I'm so glad my mum was able to experience it ❤️

ALHCTPS · 30/11/2021 17:36

@hkwa I don’t actually think aunties and uncles are good choices as godparents. As you say, they already have a role. We chose friends who we felt would be good advisers in years to come.

HWka · 30/11/2021 18:15

Thanks @Pandamama88 @ALHCTPS @Unarosaes thank you! Don’t worry I put it much kinder to him! I think it’s a lot of hormones and I think his sister would be mortified if she heard about this! I think it’s me winding myself up as some of my partners family can be very pushy and I’m a bit of a walkover but I’m making myself stand up abit more and I know i won’t be bossed about when it comes to my child! My partner is so laid back and lovely to be honest! I think he’s probably fed up of me hahaha

pregnancydiaries · 30/11/2021 18:50

Ladies with expanding busts, what are we doing? I feel like buying bras every time they grow can’t be the answer? I’ve gone from a B cup to a D cup already 😂

Prema112 · 30/11/2021 19:06

@pregnancydiaries I've just received my maternity bras from Jojo Maman Bebe and I'm loving them! So comfy and no underwire. I'm hoping they see me through breastfeeding but I've read I may need to go up another size or 2 before birth!!

beansprout55 · 30/11/2021 19:07

Jealous! I wish mine would grow, they hurt enough. I'm a 34D and was hoping to experience big girl boobs for a change - I guess I might have my go when breastfeeding!xx

I think buy what you are now but without wire, and maybe more of a stretchy material xx

InvisibleDragon · 30/11/2021 19:37

@pregnancydiaries I'm wearing lots of stretchy sports bras and cursing every time I drive/cycle over a speed bump!

Turniptracker · 30/11/2021 19:38

I had a terrible experience with constipation this morning!!! Ended up stuck on the toilet having hot sweats (and ripping my clothes off) and almost fainting. I shan't go into any further details but what a trauma. What a lark pregnancy is huh Grin. My blood pressure dropped really low afterwards and I felt woozy all day. Joy!

rathernotshare · 30/11/2021 19:39

I just keep buying bras. Since the first lockdown I've completely ditched underwires, and the bralet style seem have a bit more 'give' in them! I've gone from wearing a bra 8-10 to 14-16 😳

rathernotshare · 30/11/2021 19:40

Also they're cheaper and you can get them in multipacks from places like primark!

fiowen45 · 30/11/2021 19:46

My nausea seems to have got worse and turned into all day and night nausea 🤢 I’m 10+5 and hoping it eases soon. Even my anti sickness bands don’t give any relief atm

Pandamama88 · 30/11/2021 20:11

@Turniptracker Hasn't everyone had a poo so serious that clothes had to be removed? Grin I've been having intermittent constipation. Massive rock hard nasties! GrinGrin Only birth could be more difficult!

RoseValleyRambles · 30/11/2021 20:14

I've switched to sloggi zero feel bras, which are sized differently so cover a range of sizes. They definitely have a bit more bounce in them, but they feel sooooo much better than my underwired ones and I think they'll take quite a bit of growth too.

ALHCTPS · 30/11/2021 20:18

@Turniptracker with my last pregnancy, I was in labour for three days and didn’t manage to have a poo in that whole time. Big mistake. I was so compacted that I swear the constipation was more traumatic than the tearing and forceps. At least I had an epidural for that. I have never taken a regular easy shit for granted from that moment on.

Journeylikenomother · 30/11/2021 20:49

Adding to the scan photos (10+5).

I chatted to my baby doc about my insomnia and nighttime nausea and she's prescribed Cariban so going to take it tonight. I think my DH is more excited to a proper night's sleep than I am!

@destiEos did you get to have your appointment in the end? So stressful when something like that happens!

@Turniptracker what I'm about to say is not from experience but I read this on another forum.....however, apparently if you put your fingers inside your vagina you can help push the poo out. Now, I've never done it myself (and this might be common knowledge) but I'll leave it to you to decide if that information is of any use to you.

PeeAche · 30/11/2021 21:47

Hi everyone! I feel so behind on things in this chat. Hope everyone is keeping well. I have no news whatsoever. Just waiting. Waiting. Waiting. For my dating scan. It's just over a week away.

Waiting. Waiting. Waiting.

This was a pointless update but it's nice to talk. 🤷🏻‍♀️

@PeeAche, I am with you in the waiting game. I am due at the very tail end of June, and only 10+1. Just slowly edging towards the 12 week mark.

We do have the NIPT next week at 11 weeks, where DP will see baby for the first time. I think he still thinks it isn't real!

alittlebitofsparkle35 · 01/12/2021 07:38

@PeeAche I'm with you on the waiting!!! Think we have our scans on the same day (9th Dec) and oh my it's dragging to get to that date!!

@pregnancydiaries A while back you asked about anything that has helped with headaches. The only thing that has helped me (and I've had a fair few!) is the kool n soothe migraine patches. If you've not had them before they're like a sticky cold compress you put on your forehead and they are instantly cooling! I love them and find they help me go to sleep if I'm struggling with a headache. No idea how they work to be so cold from the packet though!! I like the forehead sticks too but the patches are my go to!

RoseValleyRambles · 01/12/2021 07:55

Turns out I had a stomach bug yesterday, after spending time with a vomiting child at the weekend. Major relief as I couldn't have hacked that level of being ill for very long.

Weetabix is my friend today.

RoseValleyRambles · 01/12/2021 07:56

@4thtimethecharm @peeache me too: I'm 10 +1ish, so still got a fortnight to go until the big scan.

Vimto1991 · 01/12/2021 07:58

Just to folllw on from yesterday, I had a rescan and the baby was still moving too much so couldn’t test for Down’s syndrome, but booked for a blood test in two weeks! I was kind of left a bit gutted, not only could they not test for that, the photos were a bit blurry, but I’m happy baby is healthy enough to be doing somersaults!! 🙈 I also felt sad when it was over, it feels like such a long wait until you see them again! We’ve booked a gender scan for the 21st so a lovely little Christmas present to ourselves! I can’t wait to see them again as our anamoly scan isn’t until 21st January! Wish I could see them everyday. 🙈 my date changed to 12+6, so 13 weeks today, which means my last period wasn’t a period. It was a very strange period, no cramps, and brown blood for 5/6 days. Maybe that was a long implantation bleed!

Also I hear you all on the constipation front… I am so on off. Three days constipation, three days total opposite. 🙈 I was in so much pain lying down last night from it, too. It makes you feel sick!
