@Vimto1991 fingers crossed by week 13 we start feeling a bit better!

Vimto1991 · 29/11/2021 18:10

@pregnancydiaries hopefully! Fingers crossed :)

EarlGreywithLemon · 29/11/2021 18:19

I’ve also been snacking mostly on salted pretzels, popcorn, salt and vinegar and salted crisps, ginger snaps, Dairylea cheese triangles, jelly sweets and the Innocent banana and strawberry smoothies. I never eat any of those things normally! Fresh fruit also goes down well.
In my previous pregnancy I also had gherkins and olives, but this time even the thought completely turns my stomach.
I’m getting at the stage though where I’m beginning to go off lots of these things too. Last time the nausea eased around 14-15 weeks, hoping for the same this time.

Ive been quite quiet on here but today ive just reached 12 weeks!! So incredibly happy after a miscarriage that i had back in august but eveeything seems to be looking up ! I have a scan booked for next week when i should be 13+2, I am feeling so nauseous as the thought of eating anything right now, i still eat what i can but its so difficult at the moment, does anyone have any tips for making eating a kittle easier or do i just have to pull through until it eases off?😂😅Hope everyones doing good !

JAR1981 · 29/11/2021 18:56

Congratulations to the ladies reaching 12 weeks or having scans today!

I had quite a sore tummy and cramping for a few hours after my 12 week scan. Due to baby not being in the right place I had to do a fair bit of jumping and shaking my hips and also the sonographer pressed quite hard and made me gasp at one point. That was five days ago and not had any bleeding though so hoping little one is ok.

For those that were interested the Bella Moon pregnancy pillow has arrived. First impressions when I unpacked the box were a bit disappointing however I have to say it is super comfortable. My neck is 100% better and I haven’t had any periods of laying awake in the night. Also has cut out the tossing and turning however I still find that my bottom hip gets very sore which I think is just a consequence of not being used to sleeping on my side. At one point last night I found my husband had snuggled up to it so had to push him off haha! Also realised I made a bit of an error when ordering the pink feather patterned cases. I preferred this pattern but clearly didn’t think through the fact we may have a boy if I want to use this for nursing too! 🤦🏻‍♀️ Overall, it’s expensive but I would recommend if you are struggling to sleep.

@PeeAche thank you for your really kind comment yesterday - it really helped Smile

I get anxious around money and official admin sometimes. I think it's because my mum had money issues when I was little - I remember her being really stressed about not having money for my school shoes / her bank account being overdrawn etc and getting messed around and looked down on by people because of that. The thing is, I know that doesn't apply to me now, but sometimes I get stuck in a loop of avoiding tasks and feeling bad about it. Managed to do all except one task now thankfully, and have put aside some time for the last one tomorrow!

destiEos · 29/11/2021 19:05

So fun reading all your updates and seeing all the scan and test results coming in! I have my scan tomorrow - crossing my fingers I don't throw up when they do it. The thought of someone pressing on my belly is making my stomach flip 🤢

What a day! Some silly woman in a wrong lane ran into the side of my car on my way to my scan appointment. DH was with me and calmly dealt with it all. No one injured but a lot of scrape damage to my poor car. I was a bag of nerves going into my appointment but thankfully all was perfect! Baby measuring a few days ahead (I'm 10+5 but measuring 11+2 or so). Glad to be home with my feet up this evening!

DaimDillyDoo · 29/11/2021 21:13

Thank you for the lovely messages, I feel I can relax a little bit now! Lovely to see more 12 week scans coming through!

@EarlGreywithLemon I also love pretzels & salt vinegar crisps (the more salt and vinegar the better) Grin

Brightsmoke · 29/11/2021 22:00

@caz198917

Scan went well, 13 weeks 4 days. Any guesses on sex? Xx
Have you got any other pics? From that, I'm going against the grain with boy, but it's so hard to tell at 12 weeks
caz198917 · 29/11/2021 22:03

Well I paid through a website and got this lol! So time will tell.

@caz198917 lol I didn’t even know websites did that! I’d also guess boy, I mean it’s 50/50 right?!

Thought I’d share a pic too, it’s amazing how much ultrasounds can pick up now - I was more impressed by the technology than anything else 😂

Amazing scans ladies! 🥰

I have a private scan booked tomorrow. So nervous but also thinking nothing has changed that I know since my last scan so should be all good. Think positive!
11 weeks on Wednesday x

Rolledthedice · 29/11/2021 22:52

Good luck tomorrow @unknownscot! I’m sure all will be well :)

PleaseSendNoodles · 30/11/2021 02:21

Ooof! Glad you’re okay, @Journeylikenomother but what a horrible shock.

Congrats to all of you with your lovely scans! I had my 12 week apt today (a little ahead of schedule). They didn’t manage to get many good photos but here’s one where you can just about make out baby waving 👋🏼

RoseValleyRambles · 30/11/2021 06:07

Aargh. Guys, nausea is back with a vengeance and I'm now being sick. Woke up in the night and had to absolutely leg it for the loo.

Practical q: should I eat after, or not? So far small regular meals have keys the nausea at bay, but no idea what to do now I'm actually being sick.

10weeks. Unimpressed.

ALHCTPS · 30/11/2021 07:01

@RoseValleyRambles and anyone else who’s properly throwing up not just feeling nauseous - make sure you thoroughly rinse your mouth with water afterwards. I threw up a LOT with my last pregnancy. So much so that my dentist asked me if I had a history of bulimia as I’d done so much damage to my tooth enamel.

pregnancydiaries · 30/11/2021 07:07

@RoseValleyRambles apparently HCG peaks in week 10 so that could be what turned nausea to sickness. Sorry it’s hit you ☹️ As a fellow spewer my advice would be to keep to the little and often but maybe move from small regular meals to snacking constantly, I.e on the hour every hour xxx

InvisibleDragon · 30/11/2021 07:34

@RoseValleyRambles - I have also been surprised by middle of the night sickness and vomiting. For me it's definitely related to what /when I eat dinner. Anything rich or fatty has a very bad effect. My evening meal has to be small and bland.

beansprout55 · 30/11/2021 07:39

Can't stress what @ALHCTPS has said enough! If you are being sick rinse with water straight away ( a fluoride mouth rinse if you can tolerate it) do not brush!! Brushing in the acid from the sick will cause even more damage to your teeth.

I can already see a moderate build up of calculus around my molars as using ID brushes makes me gag 😕 I hate having dirty teeth!

UTI! I have one - are we allowed to take the sodium citrate cystitis sachets? Have any of you? I need something to help until I get my AB's xxxx

Sorry you're poorly @RoseValleyRambles xxx

MrsTwentyNine · 30/11/2021 08:17

Hey all
I'm 11+4 and my nausea is now always at night. Has this happened to anyone? Every single day without fail around 7/8pm. In fact I threw up yesterday in bed ... My poor DH!!
@HopefulJ2018 don't worry about nausea tailing off! Especially if you've had hyperemesis. I think I was the same as my nausea pattern completely changed from all day to night only!
