@nadgersbadgers aw that's awful, it's very scary to see blood. I hope the bleeding has stopped now and you are ok x

missv556 · 24/12/2021 06:39

@UncomfortableBadger I have several risk factors for GD unfortunately lol. My bmi, my ethnicity and the fact that my dad is a diabetic as well. My bmi is 38 but if you looked at me, I don't look massively obese you know. I carry my excess weight around my tummy for the most part.

UncomfortableBadger · 24/12/2021 08:53

Anybody else finding that their vomiting is getting worse at 12 weeks? It’s got worse for me in the last 48 hours Sad

I’d held off asking for any medication as so many people around me said that their sickness got better at 12 weeks Hmm

CaptainCarp · 24/12/2021 09:38

@UncomfortableBadger yep! My "D"P farted next to me this morning. I was in the bathroom for a good 10mins heaving!
He was most definitely not a dear partner at that point! Although he did apologise.

Also finding I'm having to eat something every couple of hours to stop feeling sick.

@captaincarp So glad it’s not just me! Grin DDog farted in the car the other day and it was so vile I ended up throwing up all over myself while driving. Reaching new lows in pregnancy every day it seems… Blush

Capricorn8990 · 24/12/2021 10:23

Just had my first trimester scan and I'm measuring exactly 12 weeks, due date of 8th July 2022!

I cannot work out the nub theory, can anyone guess? Xx

@UncomfortableBadger I'm 13 weeks tomorrow & feel like my nausea is back with a vengeance. Back to eating very little again 😩 I've also had to swap to using kids toothpaste because the taste of mint is making me retch the worst 😂

UncomfortableBadger · 24/12/2021 10:54

@Lianna93 Ack, toothbrushing is the worst for guaranteed retching isn’t it! Sad Sending sympathy!

laurenGame · 24/12/2021 12:02

@nadgersbadgers

I've had a bleed - out of no where bright red when I wipe, just the once. Feel really really crappy and cramps.

Everyone in the house has covid and I doubt much point calling ePAU is there 😞

Hello 👋🏻 if it's stopped so soon I really believe you're okay. I've been bleeding or spotting since 5 weeks (I'm almost 13 now), and from my learnings/readings, in a case of miscarriage you're likely to have so much blood that you'll be soaking sheets.

I've soaked a pad before and baby is absolutely fine. I had a bleed on wiping on the weekend - went to drs on Tuesday- baby is doing great. These are 'smaller' bleeds that are likely to be okay. Please do definitely get it checked out but hopefully you get some reassurance on here until then. X

laurenGame · 24/12/2021 12:08

If this helps anyone - I had my 12 week scan at exactly 12 weeks, sonographer said I was too early?! Anyway she spent over an over poking me as she couldn't see clearly, then did a vaginal scan. My stomach felt bruised but she clearly just wanted to get her job done so I don't come back again. Baby is growing right on target (52% percentile) so it's not like the baby is little so she couldn't see.

If I knew I'd have waited a few more days or a week, to get a straightforward 30 mins scan 😣

For my 20 week scan I'm definitely going a few days later.

Capricorn8990 · 24/12/2021 12:16

@nadgersbadgers how're you today? Xx

Capricorn8990 · 24/12/2021 12:17

@laurenGame that doesn't sound a very good experience for you 😞 sorry you experienced that! ❤️

SamanthaVimes · 24/12/2021 12:40

Finally got a date through for my scan, it’s next Sunday. Quite pleased I won’t have to take time off work as it’s our year end so would have been a bit awkward to explain without telling them everything!

crazyhairbear · 24/12/2021 12:44

Okay this is going to sound really weird but when I eat almost everything (except ice-cream) tastes like soil. It tastes like I've just picked it up from the ground! It's also making me feel nauseous. Is anyone else experiencing anything like this or am I just a bit strange lol

nadgersbadgers · 24/12/2021 12:54

@Capricorn8990 rough. Very very little sleep - I've clearly got a UTI and feel so so uncomfortable and cramps and bloated. Not sure what the fuck is going on 😣

nadgersbadgers · 24/12/2021 12:55

@crazyhairbear could you have COVID?

crazyhairbear · 24/12/2021 13:01
@crazyhairbear could you have COVID?
No I don't think so, I've had it recently and I lost my sense of taste but it came back and was normal again. I've also had to do regular LFTs and a PCR for work and they are all negative.

Capricorn8990 · 24/12/2021 13:28

@nadgersbadgers oh bless you 😞 maybe you could call the EPU to see what they can advise you. I hope you feel better soon xx

Capricorn8990 · 24/12/2021 13:28

@SamanthaVimes ah amazing! So pleased for you x

annie1994 · 24/12/2021 14:13

@laurenGame that doesn’t sound very nice! Did you have a full bladder? Maybe baby was just being a bit stubborn and hiding! Pretty sure they do that scan from 11-14 weeks so wouldn’t have thought you’re ‘too early’

@nadgersbadgers I feel for you, UTI’s are horrible!! Make sure you call your GP, I think because you’re pregnant and symptomatic they have to give you antibiotics before MSU results come back (I may be wrong)

annie1994 · 24/12/2021 14:16

@Lianna93 I’m 13+2 and last few days my nausea has come back 😭 the doctor only prescribed one of my antisickness tablets so it’s probably that for me. Perfect timing for our sickness to be back with Christmas 🙄

nadgersbadgers · 24/12/2021 14:36

@annie1994 thank you - I've just spoken with GP who's given me 3 day course of antibiotics. Going to collect them now from pharmacy. Love our NHS. We genuinely are blessed.

Ok hands up I have nothing to wear.
I've put on 3lb since finding out (now 11
Weeks) but I am so bloated and uncomfortable it's grim. I feel so so sad. Plus we haven't told any one yet so I'm trying to conceal my tummy big time.

Trinxsy · 24/12/2021 14:58

Christmas is cancelled here! MIL has covid so a nice calm one here. I hope you ladies all have a lovely Christmas (if you celebrate) x

Lianna93 · 24/12/2021 15:15

@annie1994 I've been so excited for my dinner tomorrow but now I'm dreading it 😩😂

@nadgersbadgers Im the same with nothing to wear 😬 Thankfully, we told our family at the start of the month, so don't need to actively hide my bump but anything tight around my stomach will make me uncomfortable all night night. May have to wear my husband's Christmas jumper 😂😂

Elsols93 · 24/12/2021 15:32

Made our announcement today happy and relaxed now at 13-3 can enjoy my pregnancy abit more now people no ❤️
