Sorry all maybe tmi -

I am 10 weeks today and have been putting of sex incase I ended up spotting and it raised my anxieties.

However yesterday morning me and OH DTD, and this morning I have gone to the toilet and when wiped had very thick clear jelly like discharge on the tissue? Just wondering if this is something I should be worried about, if it's normal in pregnancy or if it happens after any of u ladies DTD?

TayB93 · 11/12/2021 10:46

Hi all,
Just jumping in on this thread (first time in mumsnet)
I am 7 weeks, due approx 29th July! This is our second pregnancy after a MMC in the summer. Very anxious this time around so have a private scan booked next weekend when I should be 8 weeks.

Hoping all of you are doing okay! x

Lostintranslatio · 11/12/2021 10:52

@purpleskyssssss it doesn't sound atypical to me. As long as there is no blood I would not worry. I am also avoiding sex, mostly because I feel bad 90% of the time and it is the last thing I feel like, and the little time I feel OK I'm scared of damaging the pregnancy 🤦‍♀️

We have told our parents and they are all so excited about our little girl, which is lovely, but in starting to get very nervous about the 12 week scan. Terrified that I'm told I lost her 😪

kelsn96 · 11/12/2021 11:03

@purpleskyssssss sounds normal to me! I was very much the same, however, my midwife reassured me bleeding/spotting after sex is normal. Now, every time I have sex I spot. Using a lubricant helps xx

missv556 · 11/12/2021 13:48

I've continued to have sex since finding out (although not as much due to tiredness) and not had any issues with spotting or anything like that

purpleskyssssss · 11/12/2021 14:46

Thanks ladies

I haven't spotted or had any pain just had a thick discharge which was unusual to normal but seems to have gone now x

kelsn96 · 11/12/2021 17:00

Hi all! Looking for advice! I'm 9 weeks today and I just cannot eat anything good for me. The thought of fish, veg, meat knocks me sideways!! I can eat fruit and drink fruit juices but I mostly want crisps, sausage rolls etc. I'm worried that it's no good for me. Is anyone else like this?

Lostintranslatio · 11/12/2021 17:14

@kelsn96 I spent ten days that the only thing I could eat was plain pasta and toast. Just eat whatever you body asks for/can stand, your baby will be fine ☺️

SamanthaVimes · 11/12/2021 19:05

@kelsn96 I’m the same, was last time as well. For most people it doesn’t last the whole pregnancy so unless you’re really unlucky you’ll be able to eat a bit more normally in a few weeks.

For now just eat what you can manage.

DrPrincessFluffyToYou · 11/12/2021 23:23

One of my friends (I saw 5 days ago) has just told me he tested positive for Omicron. I now have a sore throat, blocked ears, blocked nose. I have covid, don't I? Sad

I've had covid before + 2x vaccines. I just can't stop myself from crying and feeling guilty that I was still going out and doing things. So much development happens in the first trimester and I'm so worried I've not done the best for my baby. Why didn't I decide to stop seeing friends when a new variant was potentially all over London?!

Feeling very emotional, which pregnancy is probably not helping!

emmatake2 · 12/12/2021 08:08

@TayB93 we have the same dates, also getting an early scan next weekend as had a miscarriage in the summer. I don't seem to have many symptoms if any so will be wishing the next week away for a bit of reassurance

SamanthaVimes · 12/12/2021 10:36

@DrPrincessFluffyToYou try not to worry. I know a few mums from my antenatal group with my first had covid whilst they were pregnant. Their babies are gorgeous energetic toddlers now.
