@Lucindaj & @Trinxsy congrats on the twins!

We have booked a private scan for Friday, I'll be 8 weeks, still not heard from midwives re booking in appointment! Secretly love the idea of twins myself but I think my OH would have a heart attack Grin

feliznavidad2 · 08/12/2021 16:28

Yes forgot to say, huge congrats on the twins @Lucindaj & @Trinxsy 🤩

Lianna93 · 08/12/2021 17:52

@feliznavidad2 Amazing 😁 I'm so excited to see my wee baba again 🥺❤️

Elsols93 · 08/12/2021 18:23

My 12 weeks is on 22/12 which il be 13 wks so I’m glad I got a early one done Sunday ❤️

Pickle0901 · 08/12/2021 22:42
@Pickle0901 sorry to hear your midwife hasn't been in contact - hopefully you won't have too much of a wait 🤞🏻

I got my scan letter through today, wee bit gutted as I hoped I would have gotten it before Christmas but nevermind. Mines is happening on 29/12 :)
I should be about 13w4d at that point.
Thanks @Lianna93 finally spoke to her late in the afternoon. She's booked me in for bloods etc on Monday morning, which will then start the process for activating the scan.... That will be Jan now but at least I'll be a bit more aware of what's happening...

Congrats on your scan... I can imagine it would be lovely to have it before Christmas but it's something to look forward to between Christmas and New Year... how exciting!!

Pickle0901 · 08/12/2021 22:44

How did you all get the early scans? Is that a private booking outside of the midwife routine stuff?

Lianna93 · 08/12/2021 23:31

@Pickle0901 Aw fantastic that's she's been in touch - this appointment will be to go through your family history etc :)

Early scans are typically done privately, I used a company called window to the womb & they were fantastic, very welcoming & I got a wee picture of my wee baba to take home :)

sleepyshiftworker · 09/12/2021 08:05

Tentatively saying hello and joining in the July club. I've known since 3 weeks & am now 8+4

This isn't my first - we have a big family. Baby number 5. Im not planning on telling any one for a while I like being in my bubble.

Congratulations to all of you xx

deliwoman1 · 09/12/2021 08:20

Hi everyone! Hope it's okay to join and huge congratulations to you all! Flowers

I'm 10+2 today with baby #1. Due 4th July. I've had two scans so far because of ectopic/losses. Fourth pregnancy for me this year so hoping all continues to be well!

My dating scan is happening at 11 weeks exactly (14/12). MW seems to think that's fine and I guess it means I'll get some results/pics in time for Christmas. Crossing fingers it's good news!

Nicola1201 · 09/12/2021 10:57

Morning
Im getting bit scared as after my few days of not being well, i now have no pg symptoms, id had terrible morning sickness and it appeara to have gone. Bit worried about an mmc. Anyone got any wise words?
Its my second pregnancy and in my first my sickness went to wk 14, i know it can be diff evey time and also boy vs girl etc. I have a scan tomorrow as had booked harmony but now dreading it!

missv556 · 09/12/2021 11:09

I've just started spotting 😥 I have an appointment with the gp at 12 for something unrelated so hoping he can get me in for a scan at an epu to check everything is ok.

Lostintranslatio · 09/12/2021 11:46

@Nicola1201 my nausea can be gone for three days and then comesback furiously. I know it is hard to relax but symptoms can go and come.

@missv556 I hope you can be seen today. Spotting is always scary but it does not mean it is going wrong.

emmatake2 · 09/12/2021 12:46

@Nicola1201 I'm feeling a bit the same at the moment but trying not to worry too much. I have a scan booked for next weekend to hopefully settle my nerves

Capricorn8990 · 09/12/2021 13:11

@missv556 lots of love, please let us know how you get on hun xx

missv556 · 09/12/2021 13:48

Spotting hasn't gotten any worse, Dr contacted epu and they are gonna give me a call at some point today. My sister works at the hospital so she's had a word with the girls at the epu so they're expecting me. Will update when I have news x

sle0911 · 09/12/2021 15:28

@missv556 hope all's ok 🤞🏼 I've also had small amount of spotting today but the GP testing my urine and I have a UTI which is most likely the cause! She's booked me a scan at EPU tomorrow morning too just to be sure!

Capricorn8990 · 09/12/2021 15:32

@missv556 hope you're feeling okay, fingers crossed they see you soon xxx

Capricorn8990 · 09/12/2021 15:33

Just had a call from the midwife team to tell me that because I'm O negative blood type (didn't have a clue what I was!?) I have to have more bloods taken at my 16 week appointment for them to work out the baby's blood group, as if theirs is different to mine I have to receive some form of injection.. anyone else heard of this or have had this? Xx

MrsCtobe91 · 09/12/2021 15:58

@Capricorn8990 its an anti d injection, its to stop your antibodies attacking the pregnancy basically. Iv had to have it with all mine because unfortunately im O negative too 🙄.

@missv556 hope all goes well and the spotting settles.

Also congratulations to those who are expecting twins, how exciting. And glad to see everyone and your pregnancies are doing well. Xx

missv556 · 09/12/2021 16:02

@sle0911 my scan is at midday tomorrow. Hope both our beans are OK 🙏🏾 if all is well then we have an extra chance to see them at least

Capricorn8990 · 09/12/2021 16:05

@MrsCtobe91 thanks for replying! Oh wow, sounds scary when it's put like that! Hopefully baby is the same as me and I wont need the injection but happy to go with whatever. So weird cos apparently we are classed as having a universal blood type so our blood can be used for other blood type transfusions. Would this make the pregnancy high risk? Sorry - it's my first pregnancy and I don't have a clue!!

MrsCtobe91 · 09/12/2021 16:06

@sle0911 hope your scan goes well too and it's nothing to worry about. These babies sure know how to make us worry don't they. Xx

MrsCtobe91 · 09/12/2021 16:12

@Capricorn8990 it really does sound scary but luckily they have something to counteract it. I'll cross my fingers for you with that one. Yeh thats right but we can only receive our own blood unfortunately which is why ours is needed so much. No you should be ok, its a pretty common blood type. And don't worry, its best to ask if you're not sure and i don't mind answering if i know. Xx

Capricorn8990 · 09/12/2021 17:09

@sle0911 best of luck to you hun xxx
