@PeeAche that's wonderful! Time to celebrate!

Dogmum5 · 14/11/2021 17:51

@PeeAche congrats! I think were the same due date as I'm also 8+2

I live in Aberdeenshire.

Skin is awful! Emotions come and go. Does anyone else feel like somethings pulling at the other side of their belly button?

Prema112 · 14/11/2021 17:52

Just catching up with the chat from today. I live in North London, and I think I'm having a girl! No reason to think that, I've just got a feeling... DH really wants a girl and I'd love a sister for my son but I'd be just as delighted with a boy, little boy are SO CUTE! We didn't find out my sons gender and it was so fun finding out when he was born, but I think we will with this one as I think my DH will need time to adjust his expectations if it's not a girl

pregnancydiaries · 14/11/2021 17:52

@PeeAche wish there was a way to love this! Over the moon for you. Xxx

@PurpleMoon12 my emotions are so rocky. My OH held a soft toy on my tummy this morning talking to wee bub and it made me absolutely hysterical I cried for a solid 10 mins 😂 xx

DaimDillyDoo · 14/11/2021 18:00

Congrats @PeeAche Smile

rathernotshare · 14/11/2021 18:02

@PurpleMoon12 have you seen a midwife yet? Mine asked me some mood questions and were super helpful and keen to get me help straight away, they take it very seriously. I've been having a rough time with it but I've always been a very anxious person, hormones definitely do not help! X

Clomid1 · 14/11/2021 18:03

@Prema112 whooo finally a londoner 😁

I am thinking about not finding out 😁 but then the other part of me just wants to know now.

Prema112 · 14/11/2021 18:10

@Clomid1 Smile Where abouts in London are you?

Clomid1 · 14/11/2021 18:12

@Prema112 I’m north west around uxbridge how about you?

Prema112 · 14/11/2021 18:16

@Clomid1 Between Archway & Crouch end Smile

Clomid1 · 14/11/2021 18:34

@Prema112 awww nice. You’re a bit closer to the city than I am. How do you feel about raising a child in London? I am trying not to say think too far ahead but I might move a bit further out to get a bigger house more space and just feel a bit safer?

Prema112 · 14/11/2021 18:38

@Clomid1 I've loved raising my son in London so far. There is SO much to do, some many baby groups and activities, and so much is free! The school my son is in now is really creative with lots of amazing teachers and where we live it's really green, near Highgate wood and the Heath. Having said that we live in a 2 bed and not sure how the baby is gonna fit 😅

As soon as I was talking to the midwife in the big, bright clinical room, I suddenly felt ridiculous - silly I know! I've never said anything out loud about being anxious/worried so I don't really know what to expect either

CurryandSnuggle · 14/11/2021 18:45

@PeeAche I’m so happy for you Smile congratulations

CurryandSnuggle · 14/11/2021 18:47

@PurpleMoon12 I started blubbing during the 2 minutes silence today! It just made me so emotional!!

I wish we could just have a switch to turn off our emotions 😂

pregnancydiaries · 14/11/2021 18:57

@CurryandSnuggle me too!!!

rathernotshare · 14/11/2021 19:02

@PurpleMoon12 oh no don't feel like that! Honestly it's so common in pregnancy. If you feel you could do with some help absolutely ask for it, I was told they have a specific mental health midwives team in my area and they were keen to make a referral

PurpleMoon12 · 14/11/2021 19:07

@rathernotshare
I'll definitely be mentioning it now! I don't think I can cope with another day like today - its exhausting!

PeeAche · 14/11/2021 19:12

Hey @PurpleMoon12 I've been struggling too. A few weeks ago, I actually tried speaking to my GP about it but health services in my area are struggling a lot at the moment and I was fobbed off. Instead I contacted a talk therapist in my area and they've been helping me a lot. I've started meditation and it's genuinely really helped, for me.

It's totally par for the course in pregnancy. It's a huge life change - hormones are part of it, but don't just minimise your feelings and assume it's all down to hormones.xxxx

beansprout55 · 14/11/2021 19:20

Relentless nausea for days and have fought back throwing up so far, with all my strength I just lay there and don't move or talk until it passes. Sat by the loo now wondering will I just feel better if I let it out? What do you think?

They do say week 8 is the worst - so praying this passes as I can't handle much more!

rathernotshare · 14/11/2021 19:29

@beansprout55 I'm over 10 weeks and I've not been sick since week 8, however I am retching waaaay more often with no relief, not sure which I preferred 🥲

3yearstrying · 14/11/2021 19:33

@PurpleMoon12 you're not alone! Personally i have never suffered with anxiety or depression but since being pregnant i get palpitations, depressive days and anxiety through the roof. I havent spoken to my midwife either, im more of 'deal with it myself' kinda person. But if it does carry on i'll talk to them as im terrified of having PPD and not bonding x

InvisibleDragon · 14/11/2021 19:36

That's great news from the scan @PeeAche !!!

HWka · 14/11/2021 20:08

Great news @PeeAche Flowers
