Is anyone else in this group still pregnant or an I the only one left?? 🙈🙈🙈

It’s been a very long, uncomfortable week. Can’t wait to catch up with you all and have baby in my arms.

AnonymousXXIX · 30/12/2021 14:47

Still pregnant! And my midwife is self isolating, so tomorrow's sweep is cancelled. Unless something dramatic happens now-ish, this is not going to be a December baby!

Foreverboymumma · 30/12/2021 15:03

Birth announcement here 🥰

Blake was born 21/12/21 via C-section weighing a whopping 10lbs6oz spent 2 days in nicu for some oxygen and we was discharged Christmas Eve.
Goodluck @NightDreaming and @AnonymousXXIX I hope your time comes soon and you have your beautiful babies xx

NightDreaming · 30/12/2021 16:22

Congratulations @Foreverboymumma how lovely that you managed to make it home for Christmas! Hope post section recovery is going well, and that you’ve got everyone else running round after you so you can focus on Blake x

@AnonymousXXIX we’ve got this! Really not long to go. Hope you’re not feeling too uncomfortable. This week my body is definitely hitting a wall and I’m done.

Theawkwardblonde · 30/12/2021 16:25

@NightDreaming @AnonymousXXIX I'm still pregnant here too. Fed up and overdue 😂 already had 2 sweeps, have a third in for this week.

@Foreverboymumma congratulations!

AnonymousXXIX · 31/12/2021 11:17

Have been having mild contractions every 7 mins since midnight, but just been in to be monitored to see if waters had gone (they have not) and the midwife made me a scan appointment for Tuesday :o TUESDAY?!

Em39ma · 31/12/2021 18:19

@AnonymousXXIX oh no. Tuesday seems ages away. Hopefully baby decides they are going to come before that.

How long is early labour meant to last? Still on contractions 7 ish minutes apart, but getting difficult to breathe through.

NightDreaming · 31/12/2021 19:12

And she’s here! Didn’t know we we were having a girl. We’re over the moon, and I’m totally shattered. Currently no name. We have a few on the list but also have two older kids who we’d love to let feel involved so will discuss the options with them when home. She’s feeding & sleeping well. Really hoping that continues through the night but completely feel I can’t be that lucky!

@AnonymousXXIX thinking of you. Hopefully everything will speed up soon and you can have your baby in your arms and be contractions free. You can do this.

@Theawkwardblonde hope you’ve had a lovely last day of 2021 and baby makes a prompt arrival
in 2022.

Happy New Years and New babies everyone xx

burtle4 · 01/01/2022 10:20

Congratulations @NightDreaming what a lovely way to end 2021!! We didn't name our boy for the first couple of days either since our older two were adamant they needed to choose as well and it's definitely harder trying to please four heads rather than two - good luck 😂 Hope the birth went well and she continues to eat and sleep well for you!
@AnonymousXXIX I hope things start to speed up for you and baby starts to make an appearance soon!

Theawkwardblonde · 01/01/2022 11:42

@NightDreaming congratulations lovely! What a lovely end to the year!
Thanks for the encouragement, slightly gutted I didn't make it in 2021. 😂😂

@AnonymousXXIX hope you're getting on okay!

AnonymousXXIX · 02/01/2022 13:42

Lovely January baby has arrived < 3 after a ridiculous 60 hour labour that started on the 31st!

Sparklestars86 · 03/01/2022 01:59

Congratulations to all the recent arrivals 💕💕
@AnonymousXXIX 60hours makes me exhausted just reading that number!
Having our worst night yet so far here- think we've been spoiled so far with a too good to be true sleeper but she's making uo for it now 😩. Matchsticks needed for tomorrow... 😴😴 Xx

burtle4 · 03/01/2022 05:21

Congratulations @AnonymousXXIX, that was one hell of a labour so well done for getting through it!!
@Sparklestars86 you're not alone! I finally got to sleep at midnight only to be woken at 2, 4 and 5am. Dreading the school run starting next week, not sure how I'm going to get up and out the door!

Scarletpig1 · 03/01/2022 06:27

I have got a cluster feeder. He especially likes to feed at night. We have been feeding for six hours since midnight apart from a gap at 5.30 where his dad tried and failed to settle him cos my boobs couldn't take anymore. His record is a 8 hour non stop stint Shock not sure how I'll manage to look after my toddler during the day once paternity leave is up this week as my partner works away from home for weeks at a time. I'm getting between 1 and 3 hours sleep a night at the moment and he's ten days old. Fingers crossed he settles down in the next few days

NightDreaming · 03/01/2022 08:34

@AnonymousXXIX huge congratulations and well done lady!!! You should be very proud of yourself. xx

Sparklestars86 · 03/01/2022 09:15

@scarletpig1 that sounds horrendous. I'm lucky in that my husband works from home and with totally flexible hours so will still have some support. Plus this is our first so can take all of my attention unlike you and @burtle4. (Makes it sound dead easy for us when I put it like that!) Xx

Theawkwardblonde · 03/01/2022 09:26

@AnonymousXXIX wow 60 hours! Sounds tough but so glad you made it through. Congratulations!!

burtle4 · 03/01/2022 09:49

@Scarletpig1 that sounds pretty tough. I do remember mine went through a similar thing between days 7-10 and after googling I realised it was a typical time for a growth spurt so fingers crossed that's what's happening with yours 🤞 apparently the next one is around 3 weeks which is what Dexter is now so thinking that must be why he's a bit unsettled. I just keep telling myself that everything's a phase!

Armed with infacol and saline nasal spray tonight so 🤞🤞 for a better one than last night. Good luck everyone... Xx

NightDreaming · 04/01/2022 09:27

How was your night @Sparklestars86 ? I’d completely forgotten about the growth spur pattern of new borns and the affect that can have on them, their feeding & sleep. My little one is 4 days old so not quite there yet. Waiting for those joys. 🙈🙈

burtle4 · 04/01/2022 10:28

We were up every hour last night 😴 first morning of school run as well so definitely going to struggle today!!

Sparklestars86 · 04/01/2022 12:12

Mine was much better! Not getting cocky as know it can flip back this evening but taking it as a victory for now..!

Lindzers83 · 04/01/2022 13:19

Congratulations on the new arrivals. My husband gave Ella and I COVID for Christmas 😩. Ella I'm just guessing as she had a cold and very fussy. She's much better now?
Any advice on how to get her to take a bottle? Really want to combo feed. She did initially take a bottle is now refusing x
