Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
NightDreaming · 20/12/2021 05:39

Between reflux, toilet stops and general uncomfortableness my sleeps been pretty appalling for last couple months too. You’re so nearly there though. And keep up with the naps. I wouldn’t have survived without them.

I’ve swept and mopped the kitchen & main bathroom. Pulled the car seat out the cupboard and given it a clean. Not been used in a few years. Lovely to have it out again. Have made a little pile of drinks & food to pop in my bag. Trying to think
What else was on my last minute list.

Are you ready just to grab bags and go when labour does kick in?

Scarletpig1 · 20/12/2021 06:03

Yeah I'm packed. Although my three year old has discovered my hospital bag is full of chocolate and wotsits so not sure how many snacks will be left for me!

AnonymousXXIX · 20/12/2021 07:42

That's exciting @NightDreaming! I hope it keeps going, and goes quickly!

Still nothing happening here. Anyone else obsessing over dates haha? I thought the 21st would look really cool (21/12/21) but that doesn't seem to be happening. Terrified it'll be Christmas, don't want that! And 1st January would also be interesting. Any dates further in Jan make a much better birthday for the baby... but not so much for my body! I'm done now!

Theawkwardblonde · 20/12/2021 09:10

I'm still hanging in there and getting increasingly impatient. Due 29th, was getting sting BH every night but they've failed off now.
Had an even worse night sleep last night then usual (up 11 times!) as pelvis/hips were really sore, so I'm very cranky today 😡

burtle4 · 20/12/2021 09:24

@NightDreaming, exciting! How are you getting on now? I don't think you're ever prepared, even when you have a date to be induced/c-section. Good luck!

burtle4 · 20/12/2021 09:30

@AnonymousXXIX hope it happens for you soon and you manage to miss Christmas! Dexter was born on 11/12/21 which I was happy about date wise, otherwise would have been 12/12/21 which would have been cool as well! Obviously I'm just happy he's here, but I do like a nice date 😂

NightDreaming · 20/12/2021 10:52

I’m still at home. Called the hospital about 8am and they want contractions to be more regular before I go it. Also midwife said they might just stop, which would be annoying as having started I’m ready to get this done. Plus it just makes it more likely I’ll be in hospital for Christmas Day. Already have 2 children, don’t wasn’t to miss seeing them on 25th.

NightDreaming · 20/12/2021 10:54

And know what you mean about dates. 21/12/21 would be really cool. Although 20(/)12/2021 is quite good.

How’s everything going for others? Distract me with your tales. x

Foreverboymumma · 20/12/2021 11:51

@NightDreaming hope it happens fast for you and your not waiting much longer get up and down the stairs lol.
I’m going in for my C-section tomorrow, very nervous feeling all kinds of things today so little ones dob will be 21/12/21.
I feel so tired today, like I just want to sleep.
Also got a headache but I think that’s due to stress.
My 8 year old was supposed to go to my sisters this evening to stay she was my only option but they have covid symptoms so he’s now going to my friends which caused me stress (I don’t like changing plans) and although he’s exited to stay at my friends she also has 2 boys, he’s never stayed anywhere but with my sister.
I’m nervous and excited all in one. I’m just praying it all goes smoothly, baby passes his sugars as I do have gestational diabetes and I’m home by Wednesday which my consultant did say I should be🤞
Sending everybody lots of positive vibes, flowers & cake! Which may I add I cannot wait to eatBearCake

NightDreaming · 21/12/2021 22:28

After all that the contractions calmed down and I’m still pregnant. Slightly relieved as I’d liked to get past Christmas. However I’m now on edge thinking it really could happen any minute and there’s 4 whole days to get through if I want to not be in hospital on 25th. Wouldn’t mind so much if this was my first but I have others at home and would love to see them open their stockings etc. Particularly as this could be the last year one of them believes in Father Christmas. He’s so excited. I don’t want to miss that joy.

burtle4 · 22/12/2021 03:10

I really feel for you @NightDreaming, when I first found out I was pregnant my EDD was Christmas day and i've always said that I never wanted a Christmas baby, especially knowing it would mean I would have to miss spending it with the other two. Having spent 2.5years trying to conceive him though, I have come to realise you can't plan these things and I do feel very grateful that he came earlier. I will keep everything crossed for you that you can keep your legs crossed until after Saturday - or pop him out quickly tomorrow! When is your actual due date?

AnonymousXXIX · 22/12/2021 06:39

Hellooo. .. 39 weeks today, woken by baby movement at 6 am. SO painful wtf. DH thought I was in labour but I'm pretty sure it's just baby turning. (It can't flip now can it? ! Has been head down.) Being punched in the vagina, kicked in chest, and feels like I might burst open owwww.

NightDreaming · 22/12/2021 08:18

@burtle4 think you are my pregnancy twin. I have two already, and this one has taken over 3 years to happen. I am of course totally delighted to be having another one at all. And as much as I’d like a NYE birth day (that’s my EDD) in the end it will be was it is and we’ll make it a good birthday for little one. As I said, it’s more the thought of missing out on this Christmas with the other two. If I want the chance to be with them then baby needs to come out in 48hrs or sit put for 4 days. No pressure!!

NightDreaming · 22/12/2021 08:20

@AnonymousXXIX when will these babies get the memo that there really isn’t the space to move that much?!? Ouch! Hope your little one has settled down and you’re feeling more comfortable x

Theawkwardblonde · 22/12/2021 09:06

@AnonymousXXIX you're by due date buddy..I'm 39 today too. Very uncomfortable when baby decide to move now.

I'm terrified it's going to land on Christmas. I was all for it coming but now I'm getting nervous now the date is closer.

AnonymousXXIX · 22/12/2021 09:32

@Theawkwardblonde same here. I was convinced baby was going to go for January, and worried it would wait till mid January, and trying to encourage it to come early... But now that we've reached Christmas week I want it to wait until its actual due date pls!

I don't think I have had any braxton hicks, no sign of mucus plug, etc. ... but I have had some period like cramps the past week. Yesterday I was exhausted and napped for 2 hours. It does feel like something may be changing? But who knows!

Just did a long walk and baby is def still pressing on a nerve somewhere. It took me 70 minutes instead of 35 to do the loop around the park!

burtle4 · 22/12/2021 09:46

@NightDreaming oh wow how funny, how old are your other two? I have a 9 year old boy and a 7 year old girl who weren't much trouble at all to conceive so it came as a bit of a shock when we just couldn't get pregnant third time around! However, it has made me incredibly grateful for this one and the fact that we managed to finally get him here safe and sound and complete our family after such a long journey x

NightDreaming · 22/12/2021 10:33

@burtle4 how weird, we are definitely pregnancy sisters!! …. 9yr old girl and 6 yr old boy here. Both pretty easy conceptions too. We then had multiple miscarriages before finally having this pregnancy.

burtle4 · 22/12/2021 10:51

How funny! Going through it at the time I felt so alone but I think secondary infertility is actually more common than you realise. Sorry to hear of your miscarriages, I didn't have one positive pregnancy test in the whole 2.5 years we were trying so honestly never thought it would happen. Good luck for the next couple of weeks, will be keeping my fingers crossed for you that it doesn't happen over Christmas!

Scarletpig1 · 24/12/2021 19:02

Baby Aiden arrived today at 9lbs 🥰 he's just does an explosive meconium poo all over daddy Grin

AnonymousXXIX · 24/12/2021 20:34

Ooh congrats @Scarletpig1!

No sign of baby here still.

Theawkwardblonde · 24/12/2021 21:16

@Scarletpig1 congratulations!!!

@AnonymousXXIX no sign here either even after my sweep 😂

Scarletpig1 · 25/12/2021 00:18

I couldn't have my sweep as head wasn't in pelvis. ended up going for c section at 7 days over due date.

Em39ma · 25/12/2021 20:44

Congratulations @Scarletpig1.
Was a big boy, we had to have the c section too as Arthur’s head was still too high.

Hello All, congratulations to new babies out there. Still plodding along here. Surreal thinking there really are only a few more days left of pregnancy and then little one will be here.

Also amazing to think we’ve been messaging each other for almost 9 months. I admit I’ve not been super active on all the treads that our December baby club have had but it’s been lovely to dip in and out, see how everyone is doing and have your support when I’ve needed. A big cheers to all of us for getting through the madness of 2021 while spending what feels like 115% of it being pregnant!! xxx
