@PeeAche sorry about your previous loss but how lovely that you've had some good news more recently. 💞 I hope you have a smooth and happy pregnancy. If my pregnancy is anything to go by it will fly round to June and you'll have your own bundle of joy in your arms soon enough. Xx

NightDreaming · 26/11/2021 18:23

@1ce1cebaby huge congratulations!! Such lovely news. And great to know you’re both doing well. Enjoy all those tiny baby cuddles.

@PeeAche I’m so sorry for your loss. But lovely to hear your good news. Really hope it keeps going smoothly. I had my 3rd miscarriage beginning of December last year. Feels odd/amazing that 12 months on I’m 8 months pregnant.

Mayneedanextraroom · 27/11/2021 12:38

I’ve found you all, been looking and couldn’t see a recent thread- hope everyone’s doing ok. Congratulations @PeeAche so lovely to read your news.

Congratulations @1ce1cebaby hope you’re both doing well x

I had a baby girl on Tuesday weighing 5lb 10 🥰

Theawkwardblonde · 27/11/2021 14:20

@PeeAche sorry about your loss, but so happy to see you are expecting in June ☺️

@1ce1cebaby and @Mayneedanextraroom congratulations to you both!

NightDreaming · 27/11/2021 18:12

@Mayneedanextraroom Congratulations 🎉 lovely news. Hope you’re both snuggled up at home, hiding from the cold & the wind xx

LucyOrli · 27/11/2021 18:33

@Theawkwardblonde Yes - “just” nausea for me, but crap all the same. Not helped by the fact DH and I caught covid this week! We felt rough as badgers’ arses.

AnonymousXXIX · 27/11/2021 22:16

Ooh congrats @1ce1cebaby @Mayneedanextraroom! And I am glad to hear about your June new @PeeAche : D

Wow @LucyOrli everyone I know seems to be testing positive this week (all fully vaccinated too!) : o I am def not going anywhere now. Staying home and hiding.

LucyOrli · 27/11/2021 22:42

@AnonymousXXIX The worst thing is I hadn’t left the house for DAYS but DH has been going to work (obviously!) and he caught it on the commute, or so we assume! Both double jabbed but still the sickest I’ve ever felt (he was quicker to recover than me).

Theawkwardblonde · 28/11/2021 12:49

@LucyOrli oh no that sounds awful. Hope you and DH are recovering!

LucyOrli · 28/11/2021 15:04

@Theawkwardblonde I do feel much better, just left with a cough. Thank you!

Foreverboymumma · 28/11/2021 19:23

Rough read down the thread. Evening ladies hope your all doing ok? I’m currently having some braxton hicks which are pretty uncomfortable 😣 not lasting too long though. 36 week scan on Tuesday with a plan being put into place, I’m struggling really bad now.
Gestational diabetes controlled with insulin plus clexane injections for previous blood clots my stomach is soooo sore.
Bedridden pregnancy from 7 weeks, pressure, sickness, polyhydrominos there’s just a lot going on I’m wondering what my grounds are for early induction/c-section as baby is breech currently.

@PeeAche so sorry for your loss & congrats on your lovely news for June Flowers

@LucyOrli hope your both recovering well I got it when I was 23 weeks pregnant and even though I’m bedridden and don’t go anywhere I caught it from a one night stay in hospital on the maternity ward Shock xx

CityGirl182 · 29/11/2021 11:11

@Foreverboymumma I'm diet controlled GD so they've advised they want me to deliver by 40+6. But from the GD UK Facebook group there are loads of stories of women being induced or C-section earlier when they're medicated for GD.
I wonder if they'd want you to get past 37 weeks for baby's lung maturity but definitely ask, it sounds like you're having a really rough time. Best wishes to you and I hope the appointment goes well xx

LucyOrli · 29/11/2021 12:31

@Foreverboymumma I don’t know if this would help, but you are actually allowed to ask for a c-section without needing a medical reason and your hospital has to say yes. If they don’t, they are breaking NICE’s guidelines (the website Birthrights has info on this). If you wanted that, they would do it at 39 weeks. Obviously a c-section is major surgery so they will want to talk through the implications and risks, but they shouldn’t tell you they can’t do it without giving you a very good medical reason.

LucyOrli · 29/11/2021 12:33

Sorry, by “they have to say yes” I mean they can’t just refuse because it costs money or they don’t want to. There has to be a medical reason specific to you, rather than a general one e.g. “we don’t do elective c-sections because people take longer to recover”.

Foreverboymumma · 30/11/2021 15:25

Hey 👋 just an update from me 35+5 today, had my scan and consultant appt. baby is estimated 7lbs11oz 😳 and also breech still. C-section booked for 21st December at 38+5 so 3 weeks today.
I was in absolute tears in the hospital I have really bad pain in my back, groin and braxton hicks when I move around are absolutely awful. 21 days and counting.

How are you all doing?Flowers

CPDubs · 30/11/2021 15:57

Hi all, 👋 just found this thread. I’m due 20th dec so 37+1 today. For the longest time I was expecting an early baby as my first came at 37 weeks. This second girl is definitely tucked up for the long haul though, I’m sure. (My 1st was born 8lb 4 too so decent weight).

I’ve got an anaesthetic review tomorrow not sure what happens but I’ve been told because I’m a fatty they need to check if an epidural/spinal can be carried out if necessary. It’s a three hour appointment though! Confused

I hope you’re all enjoying your journeys, if not the end is nearly in sight! This is my last pregnancy after many years of thinking hubby didn’t want a second so I’m so grateful, especially after an awful first pregnancy resulting in pnd for several years. It’s been amazing to have a completely different experience this time round 🥰

Room4onemore · 30/11/2021 16:40

Had midwife today, my last appointment I think as I have a 39 week growth scan on Friday then induction booked for next Thursday. Seriously aching doing the school run now though

Em39ma · 30/11/2021 20:26

Had my last consultant appointment today. He’s keeping my section date at the 16th but has confirmed I do have preeclampsia. Controlled at the moment but if it rises again then he will be taking the baby out straight away. He also said the same about him going quiet, anymore quiet episodes then out. He’s been quieter since I had the contractions a couple of weeks ago, so he wants me to go in day or night if anything changes. Seeing the midwife again tomorrow and need to see someone every couple of days to check blood pressure and movements.
Hoping to get past Thursday when I will be 37 weeks, which is looking ok at the moment.
Very fed up now and really having trouble moving around, oh and now seem to have carpal tunnel in both hands.
Hope everyone else is ok?

I’m due 25/12 but hoping he comes earlier! Everything hurts now and everything is an effort!

Would also like to be able to enjoy Christmas dinner!!

AnonymousXXIX · 30/11/2021 22:34

Hello @CPDubs!

And agreed, @Exmoorkatie86. But 36 weeks and absolutely no sign at all of baby preparing to come. Nothing. Should I start to get worried it'll be massively overdue?

Lindzers83 · 01/12/2021 07:37

Has anyone else started to lose their mucus plug? Should I get excited this is the start or could I still be waiting. Due the 10th but c section booked for Tuesday due to low lying placenta.

MushroomQueen · 01/12/2021 07:47

Hello there. I was on Mumsnet months ago but fell off. Due 20th - at appointment on Monday I was 3-4cm and dr was expecting me to deliver in night or next day. But nope. I have had a bit of bloody show and slight cramps. This is my 3rd baby. My 2nd I had a silent labour and coincidentally had an appointment at 37 + 4 days - no contractions seen on standard ctg ( they do them weekly here where I live from 37 weeks) a swab and exam straight after they discovered I was 6cm! So sent me to delivery. He was born 4.5hrs later. So dr is a bit wary when I do start it'll be fast. Having some twinges this morning and a bit more show. I've never got to 38 weeks so I can't imagine going beyond Sunday. I have another appointment tomorrow morning if she's not here. I feel in limbo waiting for things to start - questioning do I need to go in - wake up my mother in law after shows etc. with 2 kids at home 5 and 7 it's harder to juggle.

MushroomQueen · 01/12/2021 07:49

And I have GestationalDiabetes insulin controlled (after I had to have steroids at 31 weeks due to premature labour threat hospital stay screwed my numbers up) but it's well controlled- can't wait not to stab myself daily and eat choc and cake

CityGirl182 · 01/12/2021 11:50

I've been invited for my covid booster vaccine, can't decide whether I book in or wait given I'm 39 weeks now!
Anyone had a booster? Side effects like the first two jabs?

AnonymousXXIX · 01/12/2021 12:08

I just booked mine @CityGirl182! I had to call my GP three times to convince them to let me book it before 6 months since my 2nd vaccine (it's been 5 months) but I really want to try and get it in before giving birth as I am hoping it will offer best protection for baby. I never had any side effects from my first two vaccines (Pfizer, at 8 weeks and 16 weeks).
