@MrsNT with my first pregnancy I literally had zero symptoms in the first trimester and worried myself sick but looking back I wish i could have just enjoyed feeling ok but then I felt completely exhausted second trimester which is apparently when you are supposed to feel better. This time I had sore boobs before my missed period and abit afterwards but they feel fine now and i am trying my hardest to not even think about it.

MrsNT · 24/10/2021 20:35

@PleaseSendNoodles i like ur username..plus i love noodles.
@stargazer89 this is reassuring xx

To the people with weird food cravings/aversions - so much YES! I just turned down a delicious bowl of risotto made my husband for a tin of plain mackerel. Shared it with the cat 😂

Seabreeze2 · 24/10/2021 21:00

@PlodandPod yeah that’s very true, at least we are eating something! Yes I’m taking pregnacare vitamins and also take an extra vitamin c and omega 3. So hoping that at least gives my body the vitamins it “needs”.

@Tofu35 lol that did make me laugh! It’s bizarre how it does this isn’t it. Roll on 2nd trimester and hopefully the return of all the foods we usually love 🤞🏻😃

rathernotshare · 24/10/2021 21:07

@Wellthiswasunexpected risotto keeps popping into my head and making me throw up! It's too creamy, I can't 🤮

Unarosaes · 24/10/2021 21:12

@Wellthiswasunexpected thisbis hilarious 🤣

@rathernotshare I was halfway eating a ham sandwich and had to stop because all of a sudden I found the texture of the ham revolting. I thought that it would be flavours or smells putting me off. Seeing you find risotto too creamy is making me feel less weird about the texture thing!

Hello Smile currently 7+4 and I am really struggling with nausea. From the moment I wake up till I fall sleep again it's constant? Anyone else having this? All the foods that I liked before I can't face, struggling to drink even water or diluting juice. My diet is toast, salt & vinegar crisps and ice lollies. And the tiredness is unreal, so difficult when working at a desk mon-fri 9-5! Feel bad for moaning all the time to my OH as I understand I'm lucky to be in this position but it's draining. So hard to get out of bed in the morning when you know you are going to feel terrible all day! Anyone else feeling like this?

CurryandSnuggle · 24/10/2021 21:47

@jun2022 awww, hopefully it is short lived. I felt like that from week 6 until s couple of dates ago (week 8) and now it’s much less often the past couple of days, so with a bit of luck I might be coming out the other side of it soon!

I have found mint really helps me. Peppermint tea, polo, chewing gum, humbugs. Just really seems to settle my tummy. Maybe worth a try? Other people swear by ginger.

This is my 3rd time pregnant and my symptoms have been different every single time.

The first time, I had mild nausea and constant "period" pains.

The second time I had no nausea, no cramping but breasts that were so sore I cried and had to walk around with cold flannels on them.

This time I am constantly vomiting and only able to eat at night. But in the evenings I also get sore breasts and my (ahem) clitorous Blush swells up too. It's uncomfortable. Then it goes away in the morning.

I really hope so. Yeah I carry mints around with me everywhere, sometime have a pack of them in the morning in the car to work! I just want to be able to enjoy good again haha!

@MrsNT

Anyone at 6 weeks and not having any sore boobs Blush
I'm lying here freaking out as I feel like my boobs are less sore than yesterday and I have no other symptoms... Bar this bloody restless leg! Almost tempted to do another preg test tomorrow but worried I might drive myself mad. It's a long wait until 12 weeks...

No sore boobs here yet but not expecting it as didn't really experience it in first pregnancy either. Nausea has started a lot sooner though! Had the luxury of DH to look after DS on the mornings this weekend, back to early mornings for me tomorrow Grin. Sending hugs to everyone worrying about and/or struggling with symptoms it is a tough wait to the 12-week dating scan x

Sorry to butt in but we're not allowed to eat ham? Or any processed meats? Sorry if you already know that and decided to eat it.
Just messaged on here in case you are not aware. X

PlodandPod · 25/10/2021 00:44

@laurenGame Ham is fine it's more cold cured meats like salami chorizo etc. But they're also okay if they've been cooked properly :) x

CurryandSnuggle · 25/10/2021 07:18

@laurenGame NHS website says you can eat pre-packed meats such as ham: www.nhs.uk/pregnancy/keeping-well/foods-to-avoid/

Controversial comment on this kind of forum but is anyone else really hating this? I hate being trapped feeling unwell all the time. I don't even have bad symptoms just nausea and I cried yesterday because I hate feeling unwell and being unable to do anything about it. I'm not enjoying this at all. I'm trying travel bands at the moment but they don't seem to help. Supposed to be going on our honeymoon in two weeks and I'm absolutely terrified of being ill on the plane. I have bad anxiety triggered by illness. I'm miserable Sad

CurryandSnuggle · 25/10/2021 07:49

@Turniptracker Don’t worry, you’re definitely not alone. Pregnancy isn’t always enjoyable and it’s fine to admit that. The first trimester is tough but we are on the way to nicer times soon once the sickness passes and we’re rocking a cute baby bump! Smile

Try sucking on sweets on the plane, a few people have mentioned this helps. As I’ve said above I find Mint to be my cure, worth trying.

Ladies can I join please
Found out I’m pregnant on Friday so I’m roughly 5 weeks and due 22nd June . Me and my OH are so excited and nervous . Came as abit of a shock and were now going to have move our wedding which was also June. Struggling abit with nausea and back pain atm so hoping that will sort itself out .

Wellthiswasunexpected · 25/10/2021 09:50

@Owen456 hello and congrats on your bfp! :)

Just wanted to ask, is anyone else experiencing hot flashes/sweats at night? Never seen it come up on a symptoms list but the last few nights I’ve woken myself up feeling so hot! 7 weeks today fwiw. Not necessarily worried just curious.

Brightsmoke · 25/10/2021 10:41

Yes to the food aversion and all day morning sickness. I was able to eat only an evening meal each day for a while. Looks like I'm slowly coming out of the other side though. I've had this 'worst ever cold' for a week now, which has dulled down my pregnancy symptoms, which has heightened anxiety, yay for me!

My little boy keeps asking what's wrong with me, telling him on Saturday when I tell my parents, think he's going to be happy about it.

Hope everyone has had a good weekend, and been able to relax a bit. 🤞🏻🤞🏻 for everyone who's got scans this week

laurenGame · 25/10/2021 10:42

@CurryandSnuggle @PlodandPod oh that's great - more food allowed than I thought Grin thank you so much for the link, really simple and helpful x

Momtobe2022 · 25/10/2021 10:42

Hope you don’t mind me joining but found out on Friday that I was pregnant, feel so lucky as it was mine and hubby’s first try! Think I’m 5 weeks 3 days. It’s our First baby I feel excited but so scared at the same time, can anyone else relate? I feel guilty that my scared Emotions are out weighing the happy ones. Not spoken to any family or friends yet as worried it’s too early and don’t want to jinx anything. Tell me I’m not alone???

Brightsmoke · 25/10/2021 10:43

Oh and @Turniptracker, I also hate being pregnant! I hate feeling sick. I hate waddling around in later months. I struggle with my breathing when pregnant, so also hate that 🙈. Not even a massive fan of feeling baby move in my belly 😅. You are not alone
