Anyone else find out they are due in July ? My dates work out to be right at the end of June/July so I thought I'd start a July thread for us seeing as there is a few June ones going.

Anyone else got a + tests lately I got mine yesterday and then another today. Got a few more test to doing over the next week to see if they get darker.

Hope to have some more July ladies join me there is a few of us on the June thread and Facebook group already I'll try to tag you ladies Xxx

@Effram @Elsols93 I would love to find out but I think I would go OTT buying things 😂
Im glad restrictions have lifted more now, that must have been really hard in lockdown. My partner wasn't allowed in our 12 week scan with me, which they then found a rare condition with our baba. I had to go through it alone and it was horrendous. So I will be making sure my OH can be with me for all scans this time! I don't want to wish my life away butttt, I want to fast forward to the scan and being able to talk about it 🙊🙊 xx

HotToddyColdSauvignon · 26/10/2021 10:26

Everyone who is talking about early scans - are these ones you just booked privately?

Feeling like such a fraud at moment - sticks and lack of period say I’m pregnant but I wouldn’t be able to pinpoint anything that says I am symptom wise. Are we meant to keep using tests every week or so until the first booking in appointment?

Seems like such a long wait to see anyone official about it - mine is still 3 weeks away.

Missy95 · 26/10/2021 10:27

@RosieT92 welcome and congratulations!! ✨
I agree with you, time has stood still 😂 im off work for half term and I don't know what to do with myself haha! Xx

HotToddyColdSauvignon · 26/10/2021 10:27

Yes @RosieT92!! Time seems to have stopped!!

Hi @HotToddyColdSauvignon I don't have many symptoms just yet, I don't think they really kick in until 6 weeks or so! But everyone and every pregnancy is different so I wouldn't worry about that. A positive test is sound proof :D I have stopped testing now.

Im not clued up on early scans either, I think they are privately booked? My first midwife appointment is also 3 weeks away and then my scan will be 3 weeks ish after that xx

Effram · 26/10/2021 10:34

Yes I would say the first 3 months then the last 3 weeks are the slowest time EVER!!

Yes it feels weird doesn't it @HotToddyColdSauvignon ! but you don't need to keep testing unless you want to! and yes the early scans are normally private ones, unless there is an issue or people have had previous losses the NHS don't offer them :(

@Missy95 I cannot imagine receiving that news alone. I had to go to everything alone but luckily obviously everything was ok. Having booked for a home birth my appointments were at home and my husband was wfh so he could join anyway, except for scans of course.

Effram · 26/10/2021 10:36

The standard NHS scans are 12 weeks, 20 weeks and then in some trusts 36 weeks (to check for positioning e.g. breech).

Effram · 26/10/2021 10:37

Congratulations @RosieT92 !

Missy95 · 26/10/2021 10:37

@Effram that sounds so lovely. I haven't thought as far as the actual birth. Ha ha.

We had to go to the fetal medicine unit and the staff were amazing, they let my OH join for everything then. So our hospital have been very reassuring that he can attend this time. But I will keep checking, just in case xx

Elsols93 · 26/10/2021 10:39

@Missy95 I am the same I will buy everything known to man I don’t buy a thing till 12 weeks...

@HotToddyColdSauvignon mine will be on nhs but private scans if you have a window to womb near you they on offer atm £59 has to be after 7weeks

I’m 5 weeks today and have hardly any symptoms so try not to worry to much I was testing like a crazy lady last week but have stopped now no point of still getting. Same answer haha xxx

Grin just a case of waiting then!

(And lying looking prostrate with exhaustion on the sofa whilst DH brings me cake….) Grin

Missy95 · 26/10/2021 10:46

Is anyone starving all of the time? I never usually have breakfast. The week before I got my BFP, I had to eat breakfast! So I got some cereal. This morning I've had a big bowl of cereal and a satsuma, lots of water, 2 cups of tea and im still counting down until lunch time 🙈🙈 im trying not to eat for the sake of it ha ha xx

camvt · 26/10/2021 10:46

@WannabeCountryBumpkin fingers crossed it won't be anything to worry about. Sending you lots of love xx

I am 100% jealous. I wish my OH would bring me cake! 🧁 xx
RosieT92 · 26/10/2021 10:49

@Missy95 YESS!! I never eat breakfast either and all of a sudden I am needing to as I'm starving! However, I have found I get full really quickly so only eating half of what I would normally! They do say eat regularly in small amounts though I guess 🤷

laurenGame · 26/10/2021 10:51

@Effram sounds nice that you can use a mix of private and NHS. My GP got a bit funny with me when I said 'private', but public health in Australia can be a joke anyway - I paid $145 for this GP app, might as well go private 🤨

Also my friend went private and she had scans every 4 weeks. I don't think I'll go that often 😂 but good to have an option.

Omg I can't wait to find out the sex!! The baby clothes, the names.. it'll make it feel so much more real for me ☺️
Once we find out the sex we should all share our opposite sex baby names 😂 so if anyone's having a boy then they could tell us their would be girls names. If they want to obvs (you can see I'm clearly stuck with my DP to find a name we both love) xx

Nursemommy · 26/10/2021 11:09

Booked in with my GP and they just sent me the link for the hospital referral. It's all online so I didn't get to speak to anyone but is that normal? Or am I meant to see my GP too for anything?

Nursemommy · 26/10/2021 11:11

@laurenGame we're still undecided on finding out the gender or waiting till they're born. We've decided our names already though haha!

Nursemommy · 26/10/2021 11:12

@Missy95 yes I'm hungry a lot but also have nausea already so I'll go to eat something and a lot of the time I can't finish it

Nursemommy · 26/10/2021 11:14

@RosieT92 time is going so slow!! I'm kinda glad as I'm on annual leave this week from work but also I just can't wait for a first scan 😍

Missy95 · 26/10/2021 11:15

@Nursemommy I did the self referral form and contacted the midwife in my local area through the childrens centre (thats where they are based in my area - im not sure if thats the same for other places, I live in a really small town). She called me not even half an hour later and booked me in. I only told my GP directly about my pregnancy due to needing antibiotics xx

laurenGame · 26/10/2021 11:31

@Nursemommy lucky you and everyone who has decided on their names. We are really struggling because I have an unusual name and really didn't like it... so now I want to name the baby a normal well-recognised name.
My OP is the opposite - he has a very common name and said he hated it and want to name the baby something unusual. He has suggested Diego a few times and it almost pushed me over the edge 😫

WannabeCountryBumpkin · 26/10/2021 11:47

Thank you everyone! and thanks for the advice about speaking to the epu, found a local one so will ring them for advice...

Going to unfollow this group for my own sanity, but wish every single one of you the best pregnancies, enjoy every single month, its magical!

... going to hug my daughter for as long as she will allow me!

Effram · 26/10/2021 11:49

@Nursemommy yes that's normal. The at home tests are as sensitive as any the GP has now so they just hand you straight to the midwives anyway. It feels strange doesn't it that no one 'checks'!

@WannabeCountryBumpkin lots and lots of love and cuddles x

Holskey · 26/10/2021 12:16

Yeah time has stood still. My official test date (ivf) is Friday and even that is taking what feels like weeks to come around!

I get an early scan at my clinic but I would definitely book a private one if not.
