@Cruz86 I just checked my report and crl was 0.69 at 6+4 ?

@CaptainCarp so glad you had reassurance!

@JJ1992 tbh if you can resist I would! I think they can give short term relief but then you're still waiting for next one. Having said that it is amazing to see a little heartbeat! However in terms of trusting them, I think most of the sonographers also work for NHS as well anyway!

Elsols93 · 16/11/2021 19:51

@Cruz86 mine was I think and il attach picture 8.3mm for 6w5d xx

@CaptainCarp that’s great news ❤️

al1n · 16/11/2021 21:07

9.6mm at 7 weeks here @Cruz86

Cruz86 · 16/11/2021 21:16

Thank you @Effram, @Elsols93 and @al1n. I know what sort of measurement I'll be looking out for next week!

@JJ1992 I would wait as long as you can, but don't be put off by my experience!

laurenGame · 16/11/2021 21:39

@Cruz86 I was told mine is 5mm at 6 weeks whist my pregnancy app said my baby should be 1.3cm 🤔
Cue the panic. I googled and said 5 mm or so.
Last scan (7 weeks) showed baby is perfect size.

@JJ1992 I wish I did the same, I admire your wisdom. All the tests didn't get me anywhere and caused more stress. For example HCG on a Weds showed 19,000, redid on a Friday expecting them to double - they were only 20,000. Cue the panic again. This week it turns out because they were done at different clinics they are measured/reported differently Hmm So all that worry was pointless.

Im offered weekly or 4 weekly scans and I will prob go 4 weekly.

'Knowledge is power' is definitely not the case with early pregnancy. The less knowledge I have the better it is for me. X

Cruz86 · 16/11/2021 21:56

Honestly, there's always something to worry about isn't there @laurenGame. Apparently mine is 3.46mm which puts me at around 5w4d (yesterday). So just hoping my dates are completely out or baby is taking a while to start growing properly 😩 So sorry you've had a stressful time too. I agree, knowledge is not power x

turnthebiglightoff · 17/11/2021 06:41

To a PP saying they're entitled to free dental care, this is only once your midwife has issued your matb1 certificate which you won't receive until at least the 20 week mark.

SlothMamaToBe · 17/11/2021 07:18

@turnthebiglightoff the matb1 is for your maternity leave. You can send off or get a midwife/GP to fill out an FW8 form now for free prescriptions/dental care.

Effram · 17/11/2021 10:34

I've had my maternity exemption for prescriptions/dental care through already by email, I got it the day after my booking appointment. You should get it before your matb1 for your employer x

crazyhairbear · 17/11/2021 11:05

The midwife rang me yesterday to arrange my booking in appointment. She must have read this thread and seen I was waiting haha! Got that on the 2nd of December, she said there would be lots of questions, does anyone know what she's likely to ask?

She also emailed over the exemption certificate yesterday.

Elsols93 · 17/11/2021 11:19

I caved and booked a private 10 week scan for the 5th of December x

naemates · 17/11/2021 11:41

What a faff trying to get registered with a midwife! I phoned my GP who gave me a number which has rung out for two days, I went googling and found another number, I called them and they were the wrong area for me but gave me what turned out to be the right number, but I have to wait until 6 weeks and phone back - which is tomorrow!

At this rate I'll be a grandma before I get registered Smile

winkles23 · 17/11/2021 11:46

Hi ladies 👋🏻
My provisional due date is 21 July, 2022. Did my FINAL tests today because watching for line progression was doing my bloody head in!

How are you all feeling? Any early pregnancy symptoms kicked in yet?

Due July 2022
AppleTree16 · 17/11/2021 12:21

I just took another pregnancy test (just to be sure, it’s been a week 🤣) and it was so strong I got a dye stealer! I think we will book our scan next week once we’ve got past the 6 week mark (feels psychologically important). Looking at the week of the 13th December.

jasmine88woo · 17/11/2021 12:51

@crazyhairbear I just finished my booking in appointment just now.
She was lovely and so reassuring.
Asked all about my past medical history. Parents, siblings, grandparents, cousins medical history too (If known)
Asked about my sister and mothers last pregnancies.
Asked lots about my partner. Job. Work hours. Past history.
Asked in detail about any mental health in the family or with myself or partner.
Gave me lots on info of foods, diet, exercise, symptoms, things to look out, things to ring GP or A&E for.
Advised me to get flu vaccine and whooping cough vaccine (after 16weeks).
Asked about drugs, alcohol, smoking with myself and partner.
Asked about our living arrangements.

Gave me Lots of stats and advice on MC too. Not to worry or think about it as nothing can stop it ☹️.

She then made an appointment for me to go and have weight, measurements and blood pressure taken on Monday. She will then give me my scan date.

I'm 6&4 today and it's feeling more real now.

Also debating an early scan, really don't know what do to for the best.

@Cruz86 I've still got everything crossed for you and praying all is ok.

@CaptainCarp So pleased everything is all good for you.

Hope this helps xxxx

Cruz86 · 17/11/2021 13:00

The first appointment with your midwife really does make it all feel real @jasmine88woo! Glad it all went well. And thank you. I'm a mess if I'm honest, just praying that the growth adds up to late implantation rather than conception 😩

jasmine88woo · 17/11/2021 13:08

@Cruz86
I bet you are 😖 Must be so worrying. But hope and positivity is all you can do right now.
I don't know a lot at all about this kind of thing but from everything I've read on here it could well just be that baby needs to catch up on growing 🤞🏻
💞

crazyhairbear · 17/11/2021 13:48

@jasmine88woo thank you that's really helpful!

JaffaCakeGal · 17/11/2021 14:42

Sorry, I haven't read all the messages on the thread but Hi all! I'm due 21st July, just tested positive last weekend, first cycle after coming off the pill Shock so I will have 2 under 2 if all goes well as my LB is (nearly) 13 months (and still breastfeeding like a newborn at night!) Just looking at booking a private scan for around 8 weeks so we can tell family Smile

LeonaMar · 17/11/2021 15:39

Hey ladies

Just joining this thread quite late on!

Due my second babe in July, no clue on actual dates as since a lost pregnancy in April my periods have been slightly irratic to say the least

feliznavidad2 · 17/11/2021 16:16

Anyone else fluctuating between horrible nauseous and insatiable hunger?!

feliznavidad2 · 17/11/2021 16:16

Nausea* even Confused

Cruz86 · 17/11/2021 16:28

Despite everything that's going on with me, yes I do @feliznavidad2. And sometimes I get so hungry but don't fancy anything and then I feel really nauseous. Never ending cycle

feliznavidad2 · 17/11/2021 16:36

I meant to say, I'm also waiting on a repeat scan @Cruz86 - they said my dates were likely a bit out when went last week as was spotting, saw a yolk sac and gestational sac but no embryo... My repeat one is booked for 26th. When is yours? Here if you wanna chat x

feliznavidad2 · 17/11/2021 16:42

Sorry, that didn't make sense, they didn't say my dates were out due to spotting, I had the scan as I was spotting. My brain is functioning about 50% less than usual since becoming pregnant. Groan. Blush
