Are you me??

Cruz86 · 17/11/2021 17:07

Haha don't I know it @feliznavidad2. Pregnancy really does crazy things to you doesn't it. How off were the dates they gave you? Sorry you're going through something similar. Mine is the 25th. How have you taken it all? X

feliznavidad2 · 17/11/2021 17:13

Well I thought I was 5+5 and they said I was somewhere between 4+3 and 5 weeks... 🤷‍♀️

feliznavidad2 · 17/11/2021 17:15

@Cruz86 I'm ok, I figure there's nothing I can do to change the outcome and they said that everything looked as it should be - just a few days earlier. I figure if implantation took place later or whatever 🤷‍♀️ then it'd be easily out by a few days, and were talking the difference of mm at this point. Fingers crossed for us both. x

sle0911 · 17/11/2021 17:47

Hi all! Those of you who have managed to have early scans due to spotting, have you gone through your GP? I think I'm 6+5 (ish) and have noticed (very small amounts) of brown spotting today. I have my midwife appt in 2 weeks and she has told me as my pregnancy is not yet booked then everything between now and then will be the through the GP, just wondered if this is the same with everyone else? X

JNGO21 · 17/11/2021 17:50

Yep! Big time. In the brief window that Im not nauseous, I eat everything and make myself feel sick again!
Also very thirsty all the time?!

feliznavidad2 · 17/11/2021 17:52

Yes @sle0911 - they contacted EPU and then they arranged from there, I had to have a blood test to check HCG level and a urine pregnancy test before they arranged scan for the next day. At the EPU, they also examined my cervix...

sle0911 · 17/11/2021 17:54

Thank you @feliznavidad2 like it say it's such a tiny amount at the mo and I'm hoping it will be nothing tomorrow, but if it does continue I'll contact my GP!

Cruz86 · 17/11/2021 19:53

I really wish I had your outlook on it all @feliznavidad2. I've gone into a deep hole of thinking every day that this is the day it'll happen 😩 5+5 is still early in itself so I think what you saw is expected, regardless of the difference in dates. Hoping next week we both have a good scan! X

feliznavidad2 · 17/11/2021 20:05

It fluctuates this outlook @Cruz86 - I'm not always this pragmatic! I'll be thinking of you on 25th. One week tomorrow, you've got this. And we're here for you if you wanna talk in the time between then and now x

CaptainCarp · 17/11/2021 20:22

@sle0911 I rang my GP who contacted the early pregnancy unit. I had quite a bit of bleeding so i think they tried to get me in asap.

I got told that quite a few women spot blood (i have had a little when wiping today but not sure if thats something to do with yesterdays scan as well). But if I got more than spotting then to call them again.

Cruz86 · 18/11/2021 08:06

Thank you @feliznavidad2. I really appreciate it. Likewise, I'm here if you need to chat too.

@JNGO21 yes I'm sooo thirsty all the time.

@sle0911 I hope your spotting has stopped!

In my last pregnancy I had a scan at EPU at around 9 weeks, but I had to go through my GP to be referred for it.

@feliznavidad2

Anyone else fluctuating between horrible nauseous and insatiable hunger?!
Yes 🤢 - on and off all day and it's getting worse each day 🤦🏻‍♀️
purpleskyssssss · 18/11/2021 12:03

Hello ladies

Is anyone having any strong food aversions, the thought of chicken makes me want to be sick! Or anything with lots of seasoning in!

I love seasoning normally on all my food!! 🤣 but even opening my fridge and seeing a packet of chicken breast makes me feel like my throat is closing up!

Im meant to be going to a Indian restaurant next weekend and I think I'll deffo have to give it a miss if still feeling like this!

Elsols93 · 18/11/2021 12:12

@feliznavidad2 yes to both I currently feel horrendous I can’t even think of any food it makes me feel sick I can’t drink water - lucozade and a chicken sweet corn sandwich’s from Sainsbury’s is all I can eat it’s so wierd was never this bad previous- I remember just finding out last month with no symptoms worrying praying for sickness now I’m hitting myself 😂😂😂

mamalaw88 · 18/11/2021 12:26

Got my first BFP this morning (12dpo) - got too anxious and had to do an early ClearBlue digital 🙈 Based on online due date calculator it says 17 July 2022. Still in a bit of mild shock tbh, we only started properly TTC in the last 6 weeks, and I wasn't prepared for it to happen THIS soon haha... haven't told DP yet as he's in the office & I'm WFH today...any ideas on how to break the news? 😅

Elsols93 · 18/11/2021 13:05

@mamalaw88 congratulations 🥳 ❤️ I was the exact same came of contraception and pregnant 6 weeks later! we are very lucky, also I would leave the test out for him to walk into later 😂 xxx

JJ1992 · 18/11/2021 13:39

@mamalaw88 excited to hear how you do it! Mine did not go to plan because i got such an unexpectededly early positive i just ran downstairs like 'am i crazy or is that a line?' and we were just about to go food shopping 😂 wae a total nothing moment. We bought a digital at the shop that night ane i took the test and ran away to make dinner, he was watching it as it turned to say positive ❤️ funny that you just cant predict how youll react

laurenGame · 18/11/2021 14:20

Yes @purpleskyssssss , expect it to get worse Grin I stopped eating meat it makes me sick and I usually love it. Walked past a butcher and it make me heave.
No spices no herbs... for dinner I had just boiled spaghetti. Wouldn't let DP to put even basil or garlic in.

I say it's like a diet of a child - I don't want any flavourings, just chips or simple Margherita pizza or just boiled pasta, or mash.
Went for dinner last night and I had fish fingers and chips off the kids menu Blush

Ah I was the same with my first and just blurted it out to him! This time I waited overnight from my first test, and tested again then had bought an announcement t-shirt "going to be a big brother" for our LO to wear... ended up just passing it to DP and said "he can wear this if you want" and he just looked at me blankly haha!
purpleskyssssss · 18/11/2021 14:56

Oh gosh @laurenGame I have got it to come then!

With the spices and seasoning I can't believe how it makes me feel even watching videos of people cooking using seasoning 😷 glad I'm not the only one then I had never heard of that!

Yes carbs is all I keep thinking about think I may have to have a jacket spud tonight for tea, OH has been taking up the cooking more as he is a massive meat eater!

Just wondering if anyone knows how to make another thread! I have no idea but we are close to 1000 comments on this one would be good to carry it on Smile

Maybepossibly22 · 18/11/2021 15:17

Hi all! Can I join please? Got my BFP this morning and will be due approx 26th July going by lmp dates. This is baby #2, I have a 19 month old DD. I’m a student nurse, so not sure how I’m going to juggle uni and parenting 2 little ones but I’m sure it’ll be ok! Hope everyone is well xx

JasmineW88 · 18/11/2021 15:33

@JJ1992 Haha this made me giggle as I did exactly the same.
TTC for over 2 years, was so used to peeing on a stick every month and seeing a negative that when this one came back positive I just ran down the stairs and threw it at him. Totally not how I planned the reveal :D !

@mamalaw88 Yes you will have to let us know how you tell him so we can relive your exciting reveal hehe. x
